Funny / I Married a Witch

Go To

  • A tone-setting bit of Black Comedy at the beginning: Right after the burning of Jennifer, a vendor starts going around hocking "popped maize" (usherette tray and all) for people to snack on while they wait for the burning of her father.
  • When Wallace points out Daniel is still suffering from his inebriation.
    Wallace: I'm afraid you've got a hangover.
Daniel: Don't tell me what I've got! I invented the hangover. It was in 1892... B.C.
    • Heck all of intoxicated Daniel.
    • Like his singing, if you want to call it that.
"For tonight I merry merry be, Tomorrow I'll be sober!"
  • Jennifer being too busy Reveling in the New Form to really care that the hotel she's in is burning down around her, even flirting with Wally as he's frantically attempting to find them a way out.
  • Jennifer going a bit overboard for her precious Wally, by using her magic to make EVERYONE in the state vote for him. Naturally, he's horrified.
Wallace: What if she runs me for President?!
  • One of the victims of Jennifer's curse decides he'd rather die in the Civil War than spend another second with his shrewish wife. Who accuses him of “running off to war like a coward!”
  • After Wally ditches his wedding to Estelle to marry Jennifer, the singer makes another attempt to sing, "I Love You Truly," only for Estelle's father to loudly ask her to shut up.
