Go To

Given that High Guardian Spice is a lighthearted show, it naturally has some silly moments.

Episode 1: Journey to Lyngarth
  • Rosemary abruptly waking up with a weird quacking noise.

Episode 2: Disorientation Day

  • The schoolbell is a gargoyle, that makes a normal school bell sound when it opens its mouth, which contrasts with its appearance.
  • The way the headmistresses constantly talk alongside each other, as the more levelheaded and sweet younger ladies are clashing in tone with the cranky but goofy elder. A highlight is when the elderly one goes on a quick tangent about a student named Doyle who kept repeating years.
  • Ironically enough, the teacher who teaches the ethics class has a devil appearance.
  • In the ethics class, the teacher uses small lizard-esque creatures in a demonstration. These creatures make noises akin to that of guinea pigs, causing a sort of vocal dissonance.
  • During class, Rosemary passes Snapdragon a paper with a sketch she made. The latter looks back at her while smiling, and with an almost unchanging expression, crumples the paper and throws it back at her.
  • The teacher in the blacksmith class speaks with a strange, mumbling voice.
  • After Parsley arrives late at class, she hastily starts gathering equipment, until the teacher interrupts her. This leads to a quick funny moment where Parsley uses a weird intonation in her response.
Teacher: "You can start by sitting down."
    Parsley: "I can do that!"
  • At the start of potions class, the teacher offers everyone a cup of tea. After they drank it, she reveals that it was poisoned and everyone is going to die in an hour unless they can make the antidote. While this would normally be cruel, the absurdity of the situation makes it hilarious.

Episode 6: Crushing Obstacles

  • It's in this episode where Amaryllis' chaotic Ax-Crazy tendencies show up, as after trading weapons with Snapdragon and getting an axe, she begins to really start having some chaotic fun with it when she starts cutting her way through almost any problem in the obstacle course, much to the exasperated Thyme's brooding tolerance.
  • During a heated argument between Sage and Snapdragon on the topic of Rosemary swooning after Aster, the latter lets off an interesting point about Amaryllis.
Sage: Well, what if Amaryllis was going on and on about Aster, all day?!
Snapdragon: I'd be happy for her! She usually just talks about murder.

Episode 7: The Cave of Vinca

  • Once again it is insinuated that the teachers kill their students, as strange as that is, when one of the headmistresses start reminiscing about old times.
Headmistress #1: "I miss the days when we used to just throw them in lava!"
Headmistress #2: "We never did that."
Headmistress #1: "Right, of course not." (winks)
  • The absolute ridiculousness of Sage's casual claim that kissing gives you tuberculosis.
