  • Hedwig claims to the cheerleaders that one time, he forgot to take off his roller skates when the Beast emerged and he got mad. Try to picture the image of the terrifying Beast coming out only to start tripping on his shoes.
  • The moment the Overseer breaks into the pranksters’ house to teach them a lesson, one of them tells the other, “Superman punch him, Ronald!”
    • This is quickly followed by the Ronald kid getting launched into the wall by the Overseer.
  • Dr. Staple tells the Overseer, the Horde, and Mister Glass (who are all in a psychiatric hospital) what she specializes in. Then on cue, Patricia mockingly begins snickering and clapping at her while the Overseer looks at Patricia with a face that screams, "are you serious right now?"
  • When Kevin retreats and Hedwig reemerges, he sees that Kevin had been crying and contemptuously calls him a pussy.
  • The image of all three of them is humorous in general as it looks like they have been sent to the principal's office for fighting.
  • One of the Horde, Luke, is a native of the Deep South who definitely doesn't spoil the end of movies.
    • Even funnier is that, according to Shyamalan, Luke is based on a editor that has worked with him on previous movies and apparently has a habit of spoiling films.
  • Upon Hedwig's emergence, he immediately backs up into the corner and tries to make a break for the door in his cell.
  • One of the Horde tries to find an angle where his cell's camera can't see them. Then their arm is seen emerging and Flipping the Bird.
  • A brief conversation between Patricia and Mister Glass leads to this unexpected but welcome levity:
Patricia: What if [Kevin] can't do these extraordinary things? What if he is just unwell? Like you.
  • Ellie's showstopper sequence of Deadpan Snarking when Joseph tries to explain why his dad is just a harmless prankster. Highlights include her snarking that David's friend changes names over the course of Joseph's story, and thanking Joseph for his "enthusiastic re-enactment" of his dad's fight with the Beast.
  • Upon witnessing The Beast's brutal, overkill battering of the orderly, Mister Glass says that a different one of The Horde should accompany him outside instead of The Beast, with a slightly queasy expression.
  • Casey decides to confront The Horde, even weathering Hedwig's claims that she is his girlfriend. Her compassion and empathy allows Kevin to retake the light, specifically by physical contact and they end up holding hands. Kevin eventually rescinds and Hedwig returns, and it takes him a moment before realising they were holding hands and says "Do you like Kevin now?" in an absolutely betrayed voice.
  • When the Overseer gets back from taking care of violent thugs videotaping their acts, he and Joseph have a conversation about how he doesn't always need to walk among crowds and scope out new vigilante targets. While a customer is in their store, the Overseer decides to go on a "walk" and Joseph briefly debates him on not needed to go on a "walk." The customer, oblivious to the subtext, blurts out "Jesus, just let your dad go for a walk!"
  • When Mister Glass talks to the Horde before they escape, he tells them to "look past the capes and monologuing villains" − right in the middle of his villainous monologue.
  • Mister Glass adopts a silent, but very wide-eyed Oh, Crap! expression when Joseph explains how he killed Kevin's father and the Beast glances in his direction. He says he was going to admit it at some point himself, but not yet. Either way, he knows he won't enjoy the consequences.
  • Mister Glass (and perhaps Samuel L. Jackson) seems to have enjoyed making his wheelchair go around in circles in front of a camera to get attention, complete with funny expression.

Meta

  • According to M. Night Shyamalan at Conan's Comic-Con interview, whenever Samuel L. Jackson would see Night on the streets, he would ask him, "When are we making that motherfucking sequel?"
  • The theme that starts playing when Mister Glass finally shows signs of life and is lurking about the hospital during shift change may sound vaguely familiar. It contains a variation on the opening bars to Blondie's "Heart of Glass."
