Galaxy Angel, the anime series

  • Every episode, being a Gag Series.
  • This exchange, thanks to Vanilla's overly serious voice:
Normad: Why don't we just get out of here, Vanilla? This is stupid.
    Vanilla: Stupid fascinates me.
  • The Baseball Episode. The Angels are down by 100 runs against the Space Navy right on the bottom of the ninth, and if they lose they'll have to wear negligees. Mint gets the idea that they play wearing swimsuits to distract their opponents, and bargains a 30-points per run handicap to give them a chance. In exchange, should they lose, Forte and Ranpha will have to do a "special service" for Colonel Roger, which naturally creeps them both out.
  • In the episode where Forte gets genderbent, there's a countdown of moments that cause Ranpha to fall in love with him. The first few are typical combat situations that the Angels would normally find themselves in... and then out of nowhere they wind up in a Late for School Crash-Into Hello, complete with toast.
  • Millefeulle resolves that whatever weird dream she has this time, she won't be shocked. After all, anything's better than the one where all her teammates were pirates... Enter humanoid lizard Forte.
  • The increasingly-absurd military funding hearing, with each Brigade member forced to don a terrible Paper-Thin Disguise to cover for the absence of the last one. Highlights include Mint's close-to-tears "I'm doomed" face while watching Volcott's attempt at impersonating Milfeulle, and Vanilla's impersonation of Mint with two pairs of really obvious fake bunny ears that she makes wiggle by actively yanking a cord with her hand, continuously.
  • An episode involves the Angel Brigade trying to form a Combining Mecha to combat a giant monster while Ranpha has gone off to get married. Every single of their attempts to form the robot ends with an explosion and plummetting them into the sea, even after Ranpha comes back. Volcott finally decides to send a robot that's already combined, prompting an angry Ranpha to ask why the hell he didn't do that from the start.
  • During the Fortune Teller showdown, with a food bet at stake, the Angel Brigade and Twin-Star Team both plot to prove that their leader will be promoted to full colonel first, the quickest way possible: an honorary posthumous promotion after being killed in the line of duty. They get as far as aiming the rifles before chickening out.
Kokomo: I can't assassinate a superior officer, even if it is for some chocolate parfait.
  • Chitose devours the rice made when she sucked the Angel Brigade into the magic rice cooker, expecting to gain their powers. Turns out Normad is the only one who actually got sucked in... so she just turns into an ugly pink plushie.

Project Galaxy Angel

  • In the animated cutscene where the Angels introduce themselves to Tact, after Milfeulle does it, Ranpha slightly pushes her aside to follow suit. Then she steps back, right on Milfie's foot. Her pained shriek and face are priceless.
  • When visiting the Elsior's training room for the first time, Ranpha goads Milfie into training by suggesting she's been eating too much and gaining weight. Milfie falls for it and decides to go punch the sandbag, causing the chain to snap and fall over some barbells, which in turn tip over pretty much every single piece of equipment.
  • One optional event on the bridge in Chapter 2 has Coco and Almo asking Tact about why Lester wears his Eyepatch of Power. Tact can say that he uses it to conceal a laser beam, an embarrassing birth mark that looks like a panda, or that he lost his eye in a duel with his father, all three options being hilarious in their own way with Coco and Almo's reactions. He immediately admits that he was just joking and actually has no idea since Lester never talks about it.
  • Before the battle segments in Chapter 2, Tact feels confident in their odds after being told that one Emblem Frame can match two cruisers. After the battle, the Angels explain these were the results of a simulated battle where Milfie participated: apparently, Milfie's luck caused a malfunction on both the opponents' systems, resulting in them crashing against each other before Milfie fired any shot. The story of this then spread out as misinformation about the Emblem Frames' true capacities.
  • Camus Laphroaig demonstrates the Hell Hounds' intelligence-gathering abilities by reading Milfeulle's grade-school essay allowed. It was the sort of essay that asks kids what they wanted to be when they grew up. Since the teacher didn't say that it actually had to be possible, Milfeulle went right ahead and wrote down that she wanted to be a spaceship!. Apparently her motivation was because she missed a lot of field trips due to her luck, so it was pure wish fulfillment: if she were a spaceship, she could take all her precious friends to the planets she never got to see.
    • On the same conversation, he also reveals one time she fell Asleep in Class, and the teacher couldn't resist doing some Face Doodling on her, even taking a photo of it. Milfeulle naturally gets even more freaked out because she wasn't allowed to keep that photo.
  • Tact visits the cafeteria and orders some oden. Forte sees it and snatches some of it for herself, much to his chagrin.
  • One event in the hangar has Tact accidentally blurting out to the entire engineering crew that Creta is a huge fan of a young idol named Ricky Cart. Given her age, she naturally thinks it's frowned upon, until it turns out that the rest of the crew (and Ranpha) are huge fans as well. Tact lampshades how she was freaking out for nothing.
  • When an enemy probe sneaks into the Elsior and takes on Tact's appearance, what's Ranpha's solution to find out who's the real one? Easy, kick them both. Naturally the real Tact isn't amused by this.
  • At the end of Ranpha's route, she redecorates the bridge to reflect her own super-girly tastes...and hilariously, Tact likes the change, just because it was his girlfriend who suggested it! To top it off, when they start acting lovey-dovey on Tact's chair, Coco and Almo decide to Leave the Two Lovebirds Alone, and Lester quickly follows them, not wanting to be left watching them by himself.
  • One event in Chapter 4 has Tact trying to get some coffee from a vending machine, which malfunctions and doesn't dispense a cup. The three Angels present can offer different solutions:
    • Mint: Insert a coin and call Milfie to push the button, so her luck will fix the machine and get it working.
    • Forte: Kick the machine until it works.
    • Vanilla: Go to the infirmary and bring a herbal tea as a substitute for the coffee.
  • Forte asks Tact to go to the Space Whale's room, and he finds a letter with instructions: "Take off your shoes and socks", "Stretch your shoulders", "Put on this tube and jump into the water." Tact refuses to do the last one, only for Forte to show up from behind and push him herself, while mocking him for not watching his back.
  • In the prelude to the Escort Mission in Chapter 4, Milfie, Ranpha and Forte are clearly more worried about saving the cargo they expect (ingredients for Milfie, clothing and shampoo for Ranpha, and ammo for Forte's guns). Tact of all people has to play Only Sane Man to remind them that they're supposed to save the people aboard the Blancmanche ships.
  • One event in Chapter 5 has Tact visiting Milfie in her room when she's about to try a popcorn machine. The thing at first doesn't seem to work regardless of what they do, so Milfie gives it a chop that finally seems to get it running... until it explodes and leaves the two in a heap and surrounded by a huge pile of popcorn all over the room. Tact and Milfie actually get to eat some before the former asks the latter to please get off him.
  • The manner in which Tact finally discovers Mint's costume habit. Almo and Coco think there's a monster or some kind of ghost on board, then at one point, while it's dark, Tact notices a flash of something. If the player chooses to investigate the matter, Tact discovers it's none other than...Mint in a giant hamster costume! And then she does a cheer for Tact, which also doubles as a moment of heartwarming.
  • In Milfeulle's route, when she gets taken away by a random guest who wants to dance with her, Tact angrily muses that he would like someone to spill champagne on him. Cue Milfeulle's luck making an entire tower of champagne glasses collapse on the guy, followed by a lot of misfortunes for anyone else who tries to approach her.
  • On Ranpha's route, one of the choices Tact can pick to get Ranpha out of her room is to "pretend he's a salesman". While it carries a penalty on the Relationship Values, the resulting conversation is pretty hilarious, with Ranpha angrily asking Tact if he actually thinks she's that dumb.
  • In Mint's route, when Tact comes to her house to rescue her from her dad, choosing the third option ("I'd like your daughter, dad!") results in a hilarious argument where Tact basically makes a fool of himself trying to get Darno's blessing to marry Mint, while she can can only watch in shock and embarrassment.

Galaxy Angel Moonlit Lovers

  • In Milfeulle's route, at one point Milfie calls Tact to meet up at the Space Whale's room, specifically to the beach. Tact starts fantasizing about how that could make the perfect scenario for their First Kiss... until he gets there and realizes all Milfie wanted was to build a sandcastle together.
  • As a Brick Joke in Ranpha's route from the previous game, Ranpha laments how Lester forcibly took out the decorations she put on the bridge, and jokingly suggests sneaking out during the night to put them back on.
  • In Forte's route, at the end of Chapter 2, Chitose requests that she's allowed to call Forte "Onee-sama". Forte completely flips out in embarrasment and begs Chitose not to call her that way.
  • In Vanilla's route, there's a scene in which Tact visits Vanilla but gets interrupted by the leader of Vanilla's fan club, who dislikes Tact because he and Vanilla are slowly falling for each other. Because the fan club leader is able to convincingly fake an injury, he successfully manages to interrupt Tact and Vanilla's moment and Tact turns to leave...but not without first suggesting that Vanilla feed the fan club leader some of her "health soup." Vanilla agrees and the fan club leader is eager to taste Vanilla's cooking...but the soup is so nutritious and so lacking in flavor that it's like whacking the man's taste buds. Tact 1, Vanilla's Injury-Faking Fan Club Leader 0.
  • An argument between Ranpha and Forte over curry devolves into an Eating Contest, which Chitose and Tact end up getting dragged into. Chitose somehow ends up winning, and after she finishes her last portion, tells the already stuffed Ranpha and Forte (in a completely serious tone) that food shouldn't be wasted.
  • Halfway through Chapter 4, the Angels invite Tact to go to the Space Whale room and chill out at the beach. Several funny bits follow one after another (sadly only narrated through dialogue):
    • Milfie decides to play splashing water with Ranpha, who retaliates in kind and ends up splashing Shiva by accident. She tries to apologize... only for Shiva to join into the game too. Tact meanwhile feels like that took one year of his life away.
    • After Forte asks Tact to put some sunscreen on her back, Mint requests to be next. She then mentions she prepared a special swimsuit just for him: one that looks like an octopus and whose legs she can control remotely. Tact naturally refuses as politely as he can, much to her dismay.
    • Vanilla is watching a crab, and asks Tact why crabs always walk sideways. The crab then starts moving so she imitates it.
    • Chitose suggests that she and Tact do the dead man's float together, as you apparently can reach the innermost secret of archery and zen. Tact replies he's not ready for that kind of enlightment yet.
  • During Chapter 4, it is possible to unlock several funny events with the Angels.
    • If Tact visits Mint's room, she's fiddling with a chemistry set to create her own candy, and (unaware that she's being watched) starts saying "With this, everyone will kneel before me" before giving out a hilarious Noblewoman's Laugh.
    • Visiting Ranpha's room reveals she turned it into a Fortune Teller place, and after practically forcing Tact to get a reading, she predicts that he's going to lose money very soon, which visibly worries him. She then asks him to pay up the fee for the reading, and only after exiting her room does he realize she scammed him.
  • In what's otherwise a very serious scene, when Noah explains the Valfasq's ability to control machinery with their bodies, Milfie realizes it could be useful to operate an oven, vacuum cleaner and dishwasher at once. Ranpha angrily tells her to keep her admiration to herself.
  • Ranpha's route probably has the most hilarious method to get Noah to talk: challenging her to a game of menko (a Japanese game that involves throwing down and flipping cards on the floor). She wins by using a special, secret technique that allows her to flip all the opposing player's cards at once, one that only Kuromie seems to have heard of.
  • Forte's method to get Noah to talk is simply giving her a good Bitch Slap and calling her a spoiled brat. Noah is actually surprised that someone did that to her, but admires Forte's boldness and relents. Forte then allows Noah to slap her back to get even, and immediately regrets it when she realizes the little girl slaps harder than she expected.
  • At the end, following the moment of awesome of Tact and his Angel destroying Nefuria's ship and saving the galaxy, they finally restablish contact with the Elsior and the Angel Wing. They made it out alive as they promised, but the strain of firing the Chrono Break Cannon broke down their engines and now they are the ones who need to be rescued.

Galaxy Angel Eternal Lovers

  • It's a bit of Mood Whiplash, but after Tact wakes up from his nightmare of the Elsior and the Angel Wing getting destroyed, he's so relieved to see Lester that he tearfully grabs him into a Man Hug. Coco gets excited, Almo is devastated, and Lester gets so displeased that he pulls out his gun to force Tact to get off of him.
  • Ranpha asks Tact about the possibility of remodelling her Kung-Fu Fighter. One of the possible suggestions is replacing the Anchor Claw with a drill weapon, which she seems to like. As soon as Creta hears it, however, she takes offense that they want to remodel her "perfect" Emblem Frame and chases them out of the hangar.
  • After Eden is finally liberated, Tact decides to make up being too busy previously to his girlfriend by hanging out with her during the celebration. Lester tries to make Tact do his work first, but this time, Almo and Coco realize that overwork was part of what got in Tact and his girlfriend's way last time...so this time, Almo and Coco jump on Lester, pin him to the ground, and coerce him into agreeing to be Tact's representative and do the work instead so Tact can make his girlfriend feel like he cares about her.
  • At one point, Tact comes across Noah laying down and sleeping, making cute noises while she sleeps. When Noah finally wakes up and realizes that Tact has shown up and was watching her sleep, she freaks, screaming at Tact with her face red in embarrassment as Shatoyan laughs in gentle amusement.
  • While preparing their strategy to free Eden, Lester makes an off-handed remark that Tact could learn to put more attention, Tact jokingly boasts about his observation skills, saying that it only takes him a second to figure out a girl's measurements. Immediately Coco and Almo (with a smile on their faces) tell him not to look at them ever again, lest he face court-martial.
  • On Milfie's route, Ranpha gets an idea to try and jog Milfie's memories by making her jealous, so she drags the rest of the Angel Wing to the park and they all hug Tact at once, harem style, much to his confusion and discomfort. When Milfie sees them, her response is pretty much "Nice to see you get along so well with everyone!"
  • On Ranpha's route, while swimming together Tact suddenly gets a cramp on his leg and starts sinking. Ranpha tries to help him and he for his part tries to reach the closest thing he has to hold onto... which happens to be Ranpha's chest of all things. He gets sent flying out of the water for his trouble, and the rest of the Angels aren't sure if it was because of Ranpha's condition, or simply a typical reaction to being groped.
  • On Mint's route, Mint's reaction to Tact's "I LOVE MINT!" speech to the whole ship. Who knew her second ears were capable of blushing? Well, now you do.
    • Also on Mint's route, when she's running away from the rest of the Angels who're trying to catch her, her thoughts relay to Tact and everyone else what's happening. At one point she lets slip that she thinks Ranpha is too stubborn and that's why she never has luck with men, and that she has a big butt. Right after, Ranpha's butt gets stuck in the storage room, allowing Mint to slip by.
  • On Forte's route, seeing that she's not heeding his advice to take it easy, Tact decides to forcefully grab Forte and Bridal Carry her to the infirmary himself, much to her shock. Even Dr. Kera finds it amusing.
  • On Chitose's route, the Angels try to prod Tact into confessing to Chitose that he loves her. He almost does, but chickens out at the last second and just says that he considers her cute, and the Angels naturally get pretty annoyed at his cowardice. Doubles as a moment of heartwarming, as Chitose is actually touched by his compliment and feels happy for it.
  • Also on Chitose's route, one of the Angels' attempts to jog Chitose's memories involves Ranpha dragging Forte into "re-enacting" a love confession between Tact and Chitose (even having its own CG with the two staring longingly at each other with love bubbles in the background). When they're about to kiss each other, Tact immediately stops them, to Ranpha's annoyance and Forte's relief.
  • The scene where Tact and his Angel are trapped in Another Space has a few funny bits in some of the routes.
    • On Milfeulle's, the two start talking about how Milfie would like to visit the church they passed by during their vacations. Tact agrees, and also adds that they need to invite the rest of the Angels and Lester. Milfie at first gets annoyed, wondering why they should bring Lester, and then Tact says "Everyone has to come to our wedding". She takes a few seconds to realize what he meant before letting out a cry of surprise.
    • On Ranpha's, to kill some time Ranpha suggests they play shiritori. It's pretty obvious that Ranpha tries to get Tact to say "kissu", but he doesn't catch the hint, much to her annoyance.
