• A snippet of dialogue, when Andy discovers what Gloria is really doing in Grimley, after their big date.
  Andy: You're fucking management!
  Jim: No, Andy lad. That's what you're doing.
• After Danny gives his impassioned speech at the end about the decimation of entire communities due to the government's ruthless slashing of coal mines, he announces that they are refusing to accept the trophy, knowing that his refusal will make the news the next day. He then leaves without it and the band follows him, except for Jim, who goes over and grabs the trophy.
  Championship Official: But, he said...
  Jim: Don't be so bloody soft. [takes it away]
