Funny / Bart Simpson and the Boy-Who-Lived

Go To

  • The story hits the ground running by having Bart cheerfully inform Homer that he got expelled from Ilvermorny because he accidentally shoved a flying broom up the headmaster's ass while flying it. He even displays his freshly destroyed wand like a trophy.
  • When confronting Voldemort for the first time, Bart compares the dark wizard's appearance to Michael Jackson... and Voldemort actually gets the reference.
  • Dumbledore tricks Gilderoy Lockhart into confessing to his crimes in public by spiking his drink with Veritaserum. Even Snape can't resist laughing.
  • Homer does not make a good impression on anyone he meets from the Wizarding World:
    • When Gemma and her father, Jake, come to pick up Bart, Homer answers the door in his underwear and mispronounces their surname. Gemma can only conclude that she needs to keep Bart as far away from Homer as possible.
    • When Dumbledore and Snape show up, he acts like a total buffoon, making them watch TV with him. Dumbledore takes it in stride, but Snape can barely contain his fury.
  • Thinking that Draco Malfoy sent Dobby to harass him over the summer, Bart decides to retaliate by mooning Malfoy while standing inside a flying Aston Martin V8 while other students watch. Fred and George even imitate Nelson Muntz in response to this.
  • Bart decides to make a Dynamic Entry for the start of his Second Year—by crashing said car through the doors of the Great Hall while blasting Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" at full volume, to boot!
  • Doubles as a Moment of Awesome: When Snape temporarily takes Dumbledore's job in Book Two, Bart manages to get the old man back by manipulating MacGonagall into thinking that Snape is Lucius Malfoy's puppet, which nearly leads to a teachers' strike.
    • On the subject, MacGonagall confronts Snape about the rumors (started by Bart, naturally) and just as she makes the "puppet master" accusation, Lucius walks in. This only feeds into her paranoia, and she storms out, threatening a strike. Lucius, utterly baffled, can only ask Snape what the hell that was all about.
  • After the Chamber of Secrets debacle is wrapped up, Bart comes up with a clever way to damage the Malfoys' reputation: have the Weasley Twins spread rumors that Draco has a secret crush on Hermione.
