Pardon me for intruding...

Boonboomger trades much of the horror and drama from its predecessor for lighthearted humor and silly antics from its protagonists and antagonists alike.

    open/close all folders
    General
  • Boondorio Boonderas. Tyramigo's antics alone were chuckle-worthy, but add in a humanoid body and humanlike reflexes and good luck trying to keep a straight face.
  • The Boonboomger suits in general, particularly the helmet due to having a large tire as the visor, a first for Super Sentai. It's to the point that there's an In-Universe Running Gag of characters calling them "Tire Humans/People".
  • The opening and ending, solely for the fact that we see Boondorio dancing. His moves put Go-Buster Ace to shame, and the opening has a shot where he is swarmed with hundreds of chibi 2D versions of himself.
  • When the Boonboom cars are deployed to chase Yaiyai Yalcar, it is possible to spot a yellow dog-like car giving a brief aside glance to another one on its left before looking straight ahead.
  • The Running Gag of a Giant Grumer having a Naked Freak-Out after the Boonboomger Robo dismantles its armor. Funny in Abaranger, just as funny here.

Series:

    Bakuage 1: The Courier's Handle
  • The entire opening. On her boyfriend's request, Taiya rescues Mira from an Arranged Marriage. Many wacky antics occur soon after.
    • The jump-cuts of Mira trying to comprehend what just happened to her is simply hilarious.
    • Decotorarde and Itarsha on an enlarged Yalcar crashing through the Aosato car fleet so hard that the cars explode upon impact. Somehow everyone in the cars are completely fine.
    • Taiya and Mira, in the former's car, and the Sanseaters, two riding on an enlarged Yaiyai Yalcar, waiting for a pedestrian to cross the road while in the middle of a car chase.
  • Mira uses the jet cannon function on Taiya's Super Car to fling herself and Ishiro back to where Taiya is fighting Wedding Dress Grumer. The car lands standing on the front end before slowly spinning around and collapsing perfectly into the parking spot below it.
  • Boondorio suggests immediately after Ishiro and Mira transform that the trio do the roll call. Taiya obliges while Ishiro looks like he's regretting his life decisions. During said roll call, the camera puts heavy focus on Bun Pink's "assets" for a shot.
  • As a Gyasoline-empowered Yalcar is being chased by the Boonboomgers, Decotararde and Itarsha are seen sitting in front of a projection like a bunch of little kids, utterly confused by what is happening. Despite this, they cheer on Yalcar because they have nothing better to do.
  • The Boonboomger Robo immediately stopping during a red traffic light. When it turns green, Boondorio has to check both sides of the road before proceeding to beat the heck out of Wedding Dress Grumer.
  • Mira immediately dumping her boyfriend at the airport because she became a Boonboomger. He is understandably befuddled by this.

Bakuage 2: The Insider Does not Approve
  • The Boonboomgers are tasked to deliver a top-secret file to a president who comes to visit Japan. It turns out that the package was a picture of the president with his favorite idol, Momo-Chan. Ishiro has to apologize for giving them this assignment.
  • If Taiya buying a boutique without batting an eyelash didn't prove how rich he was, he somehow was able to purchase a junkyard to fight off Soujiki Grumer. The old man's eyes are practically popping out of his skull when he sees how much he was paid. Genba then asks for his cut of the paycheck.
  • Because Soujiki Grumer got clogged, Bun Red was able to easily and calmly approach to take off the tank, surprising the Grumer who didn't know that it could come off.
  • During the rapid dispatching of Nezirettas, Bun Pink notices she missed one (who looks visibly confused) and approaches him with the Boonboom Handle raised in rod mode, gently drawing his attention to strike him down.
  • While cheering for Soujiki Grumer, Itarsha socks Decotorarde in the back of the head in sheer excitement sends him into the projected screen, bending it.
  • Boondorio once again stops at a red light after combining… and just barely avoids running into the MotW. This leads to…
  • Soujiki Grumer is nice enough to clean up Boonboomger Robo after it was chased by Yalcar. He ends up tickling Boondorio, who bursts out laughing, and Taiya has to bring him back to his senses.

Bakuage 3: The Driver Won't Stop
  • Mira's story of wanting to deliver the home-made mirror, even though it's broken, causes Boondorio to burst into Ocular Gushers.
  • Tokei Grumer, who hates moving things, tells the Sanseaters to stop moving. By the time the Boonboomgers defeat him in his regular size, the Sanseaters are still not moving, even though he's been out of their sight for a long time.
  • After realizing that Tokei Grumer dislikes seeing movement, Taiya and Ishiro decide to fight it by playing "Red Light, Green Light" with it, only moving whenever they're not within its line of sight.
  • Mira passes by the Tokei Grumer the first time and he has to do a double take before realizing she was moving, before Taiya and Ishiro assaults him from behind.
  • While Taiya and Ishiro are fighting Tokei Grumer, Mira just passes by as if nothing happens. Multiple times. Eventually, she notices the fight, and raises her hand as if to transform into Boon Pink... only to give a thumbs up to her teammates and drive away.
    • As Mira didn't help them fight and Tokei Grumer ends up fleeing, Taiya assumes that Mira played the bait to allow them to protect the policeman, and Ishiro doesn't believe in Mira but does believe in Taiya's judgement. Cut to when they meet up, Taiya shows gratitude to Mira's acting as a Bait and the three can only hum in confusion to one another, before Mira concludes she believed they were going to handle Tokei Grumer so she could focus on her delivery. Ishiro drops his arms in disappointment.

Bakuage 4: Call of a Hero
  • It takes three tries for Itarsha to use her key on the sauna heater to create Sauna Grumer, because she keeps getting scalded by it. What's more, the entire reason the Sanseaters create the Grumer is because they're jealous of the attention the Boonboomgers get from the public.
  • The Sauna Grumer. Not only does this guy regularly sit cross-legged, but he's surrounded by mooks with aufguss experience by carrying and waving towels. To top it all off, his primary attendant is a mook tasked with pouring water... on his HEAD.
  • Mira dispatches a Neziretta by pressing the Boonboom Handle against them and honking them so hard they are sent flying.
  • Saibu is initially a little weirded by Boondorio serving her rice and curry, but after a long cut from this scene it has been shown she has eaten four deep dishes of curry.
  • At one point, the mooks forces Mira to jump rope with the towels as the makeshift rope.
  • The episode introduces a new finisher. Taiya begins it by extending his Boonboom Handle's blade so much, that when it hits the Grumer it sends him all around the globe. Not only that, Mira magically steers the Grumer before honking him off.

Bakuage 5: The Peacekeeper Won't Give Up
  • When Ishiro loses to Darts Grumer's game, the Grumer punishes him with Pies in the face. Explosive pies!
  • When Boonboomger Robo Police turns Darts Grumer's darts into a fireworks show, even the Grumer is impressed.
  • Darts Grumer doesn't like the Boonboomger roll out call and scolds them for being so cool.
  • Boonboomger Robo Police's finisher? Banning Darts, and thus destroying Darts Grumer.
  • When Boondorio announces a curry party to celebrate Jou officially joining the Boonboomgers, both Jou and Saibu cheer. Saibu then tries to regain her composure when she notices everyone staring at her.

    Bakuage 6: White and Black
  • When MadRex arrives on earth, Itarsha and Decocorarde mistake him for a shooting star and wish for a lot of Gyahsoline. MadRex, of course, isn't amused, and tells them that they should get it themselves before he crashes into the ground.
  • Ishiro's imagine spot of Jou having a suspicious smirk comes off far less sinister than they are usually depicted, and more similar to a Simpsons evil smile.
  • Jou is so wholesome and honest that the second he finds a coin on the road, he picks it up and takes it to Lost and Found. He also is so beloved in his town that he's also friendly with bodybuilders.
  • The Toilet Grumer. Yes, it is indeed a Monster of the Week themed after a toilet: he's covered with toilet paper, his primary weapon is a plunger, and his main attack is covering people with water from the toilet bowl. As if the previous series' dung beetle monster didn't provide enough Toilet Humor. Not just that, it's not created by Itarsha as usual, but by the more serious MadRex.
    • The very moment of the Toilet Grumer's creation is filled with humor: MadRex goes around in a mood while Hashiri Dog guides him and the Sanseaters to the ideal object to turn into a Grumer, he enters the men's bathroom to find all toilets were occupied and then goes to the women's toilet while the Sanseaters tries and fail to stop him. After he makes the Toilet Grumer and claims to feel relieved, the Sanseaters asks him if he washed his hands.
  • Just the sight of the usually cool-as-a-cucumber Ishiro behaving like a Stock Shōnen Hero, going as far as to sob at Jou's feet to apologize to him. Naturally, Taiya and Mira make fun of him for this near the end of the episode.
  • Taiya and MadRex's fight is interrupted by the latter's pet, Hashiri Dog, of all people, and MadRex stops said fight in order to take him for a walk.
  • How does the Toilet Grumer meet his final end? Sitting on a building before exploding as if he was dying while taking a Boston steamer.
  • Everyone's antics during the ending scene are made of this.
    • Ishiro crumbles as soon as he gets back to the garage over his behavior from earlier.
    • Mira is really happy when Jou calls her "Mira-Senpai", and the two of them dance over it.
    • Jou thought that Ishiro's name was actually "Sha Shiro" the entire time he's known him. Even when Ishiro corrects him, he still opts to call him "Shiro-senpai" because it still makes sense.

    Bakuage 7: The Dealer's Brake
  • The Reveal that Boondorio's crush Beloras is a mascot that's really not meant to be fetishised, with jagged teeth and a horror movie scream FX to drive it home. In fact it looks suspiciously like a Chemie...
  • Boondorio's Paper-Thin Disguise when he goes to meet Beloras. It obviously doesn't work that well for him, and you'd probably be afraid if you met him in a dark ally.
  • While Madrex is busy thinking about Taiya, the Sanseaters think that he's in a good mood and that he won't yell at them today. Unfortunately for them, he hears that and breaks their prediction.
  • After being created Block Wall Grumer stretches his arms wide only to end up stuck as the scene ends.
  • When fleeing Bun Black and Pink, Block Wall Grumer activates his powers to stop him. Instead of the expected giant wall, he creates two small walls that trip the Boonboomgers over.
  • Block Wall Grumer's villainy extends to preventing a mother from retrieving her lost child, blocking a deliveryman's cart, and creating mini walls to block people from their meals.

Bakuage 8: The Runaway and Division
  • Decotorarde and Itarsha succeed in disguising themselves as civilains and luring the Boonboomgers (Expect for Taiya) into a trap, locking them up in cages. Unfortunately, they also get themselves caged as well.
  • MadRex asks Taiya to partner with him instead of the "Ugly faces inside the cages". While he obviously refers to the other Boonboomgers, Decotorarde and Itarsha think he's also referring to them and start checking their appearance.

Bakuage 9: The Courier Team's Handle
  • Decotorarde and Itarsha's recap of the last episode is interrupted by Hashiri-Ken's constant barks, to their annoyance.
  • While the Boonboomgers celebrate their victory against MadRex, Shirabe contemplates about giving the Belora CD from the previous episode to Boondorio. Before she can do that, Ishiro snatches the CD from her hand, gives it to Boondorio and takes the credit for himself.

     Bakuage 10: The Exciting Mission
  • The Koinobori Grumer. It's looks alone are hard to take seriously.
