    General
  • With the confirmation that the series takes place in the same universe as Hazbin Hotel, it's possible that I.M.P's contract killings and demons like Stolas, who for some reason want more people to go to Hell, are at least part of the reason why Hell is suffering an overpopulation problem.
    • For that matter, how will Charlie react when she finds out? Will she go apeshit on Blitzo, or sic Alastor on Stolas?
      • All things considered, that'd be more karmic than horrifying.
      • It'd be horrifying for Alastor, as Stolas is explicitly stronger than him. This might prompt an unpleasant confrontation with Charlie herself.
      • This work is declared Exiled from Continuity due to differing production, so the idea of both sides clashing over this contrast won't be happening ever. But fanfics say otherwise...
      • The demons might not even have to put in much effort towards procuring more sinners since nearly all of the humans in this series are dim-witted jerks. The pilot showed I.M.P getting kicked out of the hospital window just for not having health insurance and the news ticker mocks a grieving mother's drawing skills during an interview. When you add in especially terrible people like Martha and her family and Lyle and Lypton, is it any wonder Hell has an overpopulation problem?
    • We also don't have any confirmation on whether or not I.M.P or Stolas and his family are exempt from the annual exterminations.
      • Considering that the souls of sinners are stuck in the Pride ring of Hell, while other demons are able to travel between them, it's likely that the exterminations are restricted to the Pride Ring, because that's where the overpopulation issue actually is, while the demons who can travel between rings and aren't exempt move to a different ring while it happens.
  • The show's very premise is pretty disturbing in hindsight. If someone with a grudge against you dies and ends up in Hell, they can hire a team of demons to enter the living world and brutally murder you at any moment. Best exemplified by the client who mentions wanting to kill a jogger for reporting a murder he committed. Try to see justice done? The culprit might decide to get revenge from beyond the grave.
  • If there is an Easy Road to Hell in this 'verse, it's likely that whoever hires I.M.P to kill someone will end up meeting that person they wanted dead in hell. While most people who hire I.M.P probably just didn't think of that, the Fridge Horror comes from wondering about those who did think of it.
    • Even worse if some demons plan ahead and order the hit so that the target arrives in Hell right before the Yearly Extermination.....
  • With the right book, demons can access the mortal world anytime.
    • This can even include a Church if the montage from the pilot is to be taken seriously. The fact that Demons can show up on holy ground suggests that Churches are either not safe from demonic influence, or that there are varieties of demon magic strong enough to bypass their protection altogether.
    • As we find out in the actual series, Demons must avoid being discovered while Earth. This means that the I.M.P team would've had no choice but to kill everyone in that Church to preserve The Masquerade.
      • Early-Installment Weirdness aside, they had no idea that there a masquerade that needs to be upheld in the first place until "Spring Broken". It is safe to assume that I.M.P just scrammed back to Hell unless the church is where their target is. This also explains why they dumped the kid's corpse on live television later on.
  • The show frequently implies that Hellhounds, depicted here as fully sapient and humanlike, are viewed less as citizens of Hell and more as pets. This being Hell, it's probably a bit of a given that the ethical implications of keeping a sapient entity equal to you in intelligence as a pet so far haven't been addressed, but it still raises a bevvy of unsettling questions about the lives both Loona and Vortex could've led, to the point that Blitzo acting like an overbearing and annoying dad to Loona almost feels like a blessing in disguise compared to how he could have been.
  • If you combine info from this show and Hazbin Hotel, Heaven itself has flaws of its own. At best, it could be a well-meaning but autocratic state, and at worst it could be an incompetently run totalitarian state that sets impossibly high standards for others to follow. Specific evidence being:
    • The existance of the Exorcists, angels whose whole purpose is the extermination of sinners, which they do with demented smiles. Now granted the residents of Hell are not completely undeserving of punishment, but this extermination seemingly targets low-level sinners while leaving high-ranking demons like Alastor around to cause more mayhem.
    • The ease at which three loyal angels are effectively booted out of the place for the accidental death of a human, with no ability to launch any kind of appeal or to challenge their action in court, combined Deerie's utter cheerfulness when expelling the three clearly remorseful angels implies that the denizens of Heaven, while on the surface nicer, are just as cruel and mean as the denizens of Hell. When Blitzo, a professional assassin, can show more kindness to his employees than a resident of Heaven can show to her own employees...
      • It is noted that they were unrepentant jerkasses even if they didn't deserve what happened to them however, so it's possible that Deerie just hated them and and said they fell.
    • Heaven's eagerness to save a cruel dying capitalist over trying to help a more deserving soul implies Heaven is also a deeply classist society. We don't know how missions are assigned however, so C.H.E.R.U.B could have selected him on their own.
    • The inability of Heaven's forces to stop I.M.P. from assassinating people implies that Heaven isn't all-knowing and thus capable of making mistakes- but because it's heaven these mistakes have horrible consequences.
    • Just the fact you can be born in Hell in this universe seems extremely unfair. Imps like Striker and Blitzo might be remorseless killers, but what chance did they have to be anything else considering the world they grew up in?
  • "C.H.E.R.U.B." suggests that Heaven might be just as bad as Hell underneath its veneer of purity. And I.M.P.'s adventures on Earth show that at least some parts of Earth are just as bad as Hell as well (Blitzo outright says Los Angeles is just like home). With this level of Crapsack Universe, Charlie's dream somehow seems even more of a childish fantasy. After all, redemption is a very time-consuming process with no guarantee of sticking, if it is even reached in the first place, meaning only a few Sinners will realistically be sent up to Heaven over a long period of time when thousands of new Sinners fall in per day. And there's the very real chance that Heaven will see the redeemed as tainted and lock them out regardless.
  • While native demons can generally die of natural causes, it's heavily implied from Lucifer's continued survival that this is not true of the Lords of Sin, possibly because of their rank and/or power, possibly because they're fallen angels. At a bare minimum, it seems like they live an incredibly long time. So assuming their relationships last, Asmodeus and Beelzebub are going to respectively have to watch Fizz and Vortex grow old and pass away. This is heavily implied to be the case when Asmodeus says he's known Mammon since Hell's beginning in "MAMMON’S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)".
  • In comparison to Pride, the rings of Lust, Gluttony, and possibly Sloth seem downright pleasant to live in, with the first two being ruled by much more benevolent demons who simply encourage careless excess of their respective Sin but not to the point of genuine harm (Asmodeus hates the idea of Love Potions and Bee was concerned that Blitzo wasn't actually enjoying himself). Why is this Horror? Well, it makes one wonder if maybe Sinners are legally forbidden from entering these rings because these human souls will make them much more like Pride.
  • Considering Blitzo's deeply troubled backstory and all the bridges he's burned, it's entirely possible that he chose to become an assassin because he came to believe he was only good for hurting and killing people.

    Pilot
  • When calling Moxxie out on possibly trying to crush his dreams, Blitzo says "Right now, all I see is just my dad's asshole talking to me.", as if he specifically correlates his father squashing his interests in musical theater with said father's asshole.
  • In the hospital, an injured kid is launched out a non-ground floor window just because he doesn't have insurance. In the news segment with the missing kid's mom, the only person who actually cares that the kid is missing is the mother herself. No wonder Hell is having an overpopulation crisis- the mortal realm is apparently full of jerks.
  • At the end of the pilot, Eddie's father is nowhere to be seen while his mother pleads for help finding Eddie on the news. It's possible that I.M.P was hired to kill Eddie by his father, as a way of taking revenge on the mother.
    • That would explain where Eddie gets his jerkassery from, since his dad would be in Hell.
    • And, assuming this is actually the case, he didn't have to pay anything to off his kid because ♪ kids die for freeeee ♪
    • Alternatively, the kid never was the target. Think about it: Loona suddenly gets a text message after the kid insulted her, saying they were meant to kill him? Seems like quite a coincidence.
  • Given that Stolas put a hit on a human climate change activist to help ensure global warming isn't stopped, the implication is that any number of the world's problems are being orchestrated or influenced by demons behind the scenes, and it's unlikely that humanity at large will ever find out or be able to do anything about it.
  • Unless Loona was simply being herself, being struck by syphilis isn't something to laugh about. If anything, her being a hellhound means that she will be stuck dealing with it for practically eternity before being given the sweet release of oblivion due to her physiology.

Season One

    Murder Family
  • Stolas was apparently given the grimoire that I.M.P uses by someone else and mentions that it's not really legal for him to lend it out. What if someone, like one of I.M.P's customers, realizes that and rats them out?
    • On that point, Stolas reveals that he himself actually uses the grimoire for work instead of it being a random book in his library he keeps for fun. What could he be doing with it?
      • Considering the sheer size of it, it's likely that there are a lot more spells in it than just the one that opens a portal to Earth.
  • While Blitzo is running for his life from a demented housewife with a shotgun, he gets a call from Stolas asking to renegotiate their agreement. Since Blitzo is being shot at he agrees to Stolas' blatantly unfair terms just to end the call quickly. He looks frightened throughout, and that's probably because of the shooting, but it may not be just that. Remember that not only is Stolas out of sight above Blitzo on the social ladder, but Blitzo legitimately did commit a crime Stolas could punish him for, and that Blitzo needs the grimoire to support himself. It's quite possible they did have a better conversation about it later, but we don't see that. In a real world setting, this would be Sexual Extortion and thus Questionable Consent even if Blitzo would be happy with fucking Stolas under other circumstances. Since Stolas considers Blitzo a dear friend, it's highly unlikely he'd push it if Blitzo said no, but at this point in time Blitzo only knows him as some guy he hung out with once as a kid and then fucked one time and who has ridiculous levels of power over all imps, so does he know Stolas well enough to feel safe in this arrangement?
  • Martha and her family will no doubt end up in Hell. They'll no doubt be out for revenge, unless they end up in a different part of Hell than I.M.P.
    • Granted, killing people is their business, and they don't always bother with going the stealthy route, so I.M.P likely has plenty of enemies in Hell that they sent there personally. That said, only time will tell if some future stories will end up involving said enemies taking revenge.
    • Also, while I.M.P likely will be cultivating plenty of their own enemies, they are still a group of reasonably skilled contract killers with connections to the top echelons of demon society. Between that and Hell being a chaotic gangland filled with other psychos, a lot of their targets are probably dealing with too many issues to focus on I.M.P when they arrive.
    • Additionally, Sinner Demons are all restricted to the Pride Ring. So even if some of them did come looking for payback, it wouldn't be too difficult for the I.M.P. crew to leave and lie low in another ring for awhile.
  • The fact that Moxxie straight up told Martha's family that he is going to call the police on them means that it is possible that they may have ran away the moment he left, making Moxxie guilty of setting a family of satanist cannibals loose on an unsuspecting populace.
    • Not quite. Martha and her family were already preying upon innocent people before I.M.P came along, so letting them escape doesn't really change anything. Even if Moxxie unintentionally allowed them to escape, the fact that he notified the police ensures they will be hounded by law enforcement for the rest of their lives. And everyone already knows what they look like thanks to all the media attention Martha got earlier, which will make staying hidden even harder for them.
  • Mrs. Mayberry was heartbroken at her husbands cheating since she wanted to have a family. Even if she does find a new lover in hell, she will unfortunately never get to have that family she wanted since Sinner Demons cannot reproduce.
    • She could still adopt a hellborn demon. However, there is still the possibility that Mrs. Mayberry could leave her potential adopted child orphaned if she is killed during an Extermination. And while it's still unknown just how long hellborn demons live, sinners can't die from anything other than an angel's weapon. So any sinner who adopts a hellborn child is setting themselves up for heartbreak.
  • Moxxie downright prevents Blitz from shooting Martha in front of her children. It's an understable moral objection, and Moxxie explains it that he "panicked". But this becomes more horrific as well as a Tear Jerker when "Exes and Oohs" reveals that not only did Moxxie's father kill his mother when she tried to stand against him for her son's sake, he later brought Moxxie to that same lake that he murdered her in, had Moxxie kill someone there the same way his own mother was killed, and then threatened him with the same fate should he ever cross him. Moxxie having difficulty breathing immediatly after deflecting Blitz's shot may have been because of a genuine PSTD-linked panic attack.
    • Another moment in this episode that takes on a more unnerving light after seeing "Exes and Ooh" is that Blitzo snaps to Moxxie's objections that no one is innocent because everyone enters the world as a parasite leeching off their mother's tits. Knowing that Moxxie's mother was a better parent towards him than his father and what became of her, Blitzo's comment in retrospect comes off as all shades of insensitive.

    Loo Loo Land
  • Stolas turning a demon to stone has frightening implications. Normally, demons can't really die permanently in Hell except through special means. But turning one to stone might not count as 'dead' to them. The demon might be stuck that way for quite a while. And depending on the nature of the petrification, this may even qualify as And I Must Scream.
    • Pretty sure that was an imp, and imps are established as being able to die. That being said, if Stolas can use his power on a demon that can't die, then the theory is still a possibility.
  • While being more than able to protect himself, this doesn't change the fact that Stolas and his family are being constantly targeted when going outside in the first place, by imps no less.
  • Moxxie's fear of theme park mascots is played for laughs, but with him immediately jumping to the accusation of one being a pervert, it begs the question of if there's a...deeper reason he'd be so afraid of them. Also, the fact that he turns out to be right about Loo Loo is fridge horror in and of itself.
    • We've got partialy the explanation in "Exes and Ooh", when we learn that Moxxie's father is a mafia boss who uses an abandoned Loo Loo Land park to hide a part of his activities, including the torture and/or the murder of other demons, even of some members of his own organization. And since we don't know the totality of what happened in this perticular Loo Loo Land, there is also a possibility that something set to this park directly physicaly hurt Moxxie himself.
  • A Freeze-Frame Bonus reveals the Robo Fizz, in addition to being a park animatronic, is also a sexbot. This just opens up so much horror—
    • Based on his responses to Blitzo, the robot is clearly more sapient than the average animatronic. Does he have any free will when it comes to his...other function? Would anyone care, given his status as a robot?
    • There's something deeply unsettling about a robot that can have sex being used to entertain children.
    • Dampening the above horror and opening a whole new issue, it's possible that factory Robo Fizz mentioned made more than one of him for different purposes. Which means we may not have seen the last of the impish clownbot...
      • Confirmed by the real Fizarolli in OZZIE'S; he says the "child entertainer" model was much more popular than the sexbots.
  • What's Mammon going to do to Blitzo if he finds out he destroyed his amusement park?

    Spring Broken
  • The fish demon monster. Just swimming in it made that. What the fuck was in that drink? What if humans drank it?
  • The fact that you can get punished by Hell's higher-ups for not using a human disguise (I.M.P) and/or causing an overt incident (the sea monster attack) raises a lot of implications.
    • It's quite likely that the incident caused by I.M.P and Verosika's bet will end up attracting unwanted attention; the kind that comes possibly from guardian angels secretly living among humans or human demon hunters that are either self-employed or working closely with the Church. The elite demons in Hell won't need a lot of time to know they are bad for business.
  • The partygoers locked Moxxie inside a barrel full of beer while thinking he was a possum. They would do something so awful to what they thought was just a harmless animal.
    • What makes it even WORSE: The partygoers, who are already hammered, would have put an animal that carries diseases like RABBIES into a beer barrel, which they would have later drunken from because they simply forgot that the animal is in there, which would have caused quite a lot of people to get some kind of disease, even ones that are VERY deadly
  • What would have happened to Loona had Blitzo not adopted her? She said she was nearly 18 so either way Blitzo was her last chance, either at a comfortable life, or even a life at all.
    • Presumably aged out of whatever passes for a foster care/adoption system they have in hell. Then gone on to find work and a place to live. But without the support of any kind of adoptive parent like she has with Blitzo.
    • Alternative is that, if hellhounds are viewed similarly to dogs in shelters that euthanize after a certain point, she could have been killed.
    • Or the institution that dealt with the adoption, could have simply sold Loona to a kennel for breeding more hellhounds for future adoption and sale, which is even worse. Not unlikely since she’d be legal at the time and hellhounds are sold as pets and labor in Hell.
  • Also why did Josh specify go after Loona out of every one there? Did he know that she was a member of I.M.P? If so that's just terrifying.
    • Alternatively he just didn't see Loona transform, or just didn't note the similarities between her two forms.
    • No real reason to think he went after her specifically for any reason. That was a big, wild crowd with a lot of people mulling about whom the succubi were all looking to seduce because they were there. It's entirely possible he had no idea she was a demon in human disguise and thought she was just another potential mark in the crowd.
    • Or he thought Loona was easier mark than most. She is dressed as a goth girl and Josh is wearing similar clothes himself, as if he is Loona's "soulmate" . No need for extra magic mojo if you are already dressed the part.
  • At the end of the episode, when Verosika and her team are surrounded by police, Vortex can be seen and heard groaning with the rest of them at Verosika's instruction to "get ready to suck a lot of pig dick." If Vortex's automatic response is to immediately resign himself to doing the same work as his employer, it's a reasonable assumption that this isn't the first time he's partaken in Verosika's sex work. Now think back to the fan he knocked out and dragged away from the stage earlier. Going by the music, Loona found him alone way too swiftly for him to have done anything to the poor guy, but it's still enough to raise goosebumps on a rewatch...
    • This may be particularly more disturbing to think about if you consider the fact that Verosika and her crew were planning to rape Moxxie, even if they didn't actually get that far into doing so. They've clearly done that sort of thing before.
    • Keep in mind that, unlike the rest of Verosika's crew, Vortex is not a succubus, but a Hellhound. While the rest of the succubi are likely more comfortable with the idea of molesting a stranger, he has less of a reason to really want to. And from the exact wording of the deal, it only matters that the succubi were able to seduce more people than I.M.P could kill. And he's stated himself that he has little to no reason to care about the bet, aside from he's paid to be there and do his job as her bodyguard. In all likelihood all he did was drag the fan out of the crowd and toss him on a pile of sand somewhere so as to not let an unconscious body be somewhere underfoot and capable of tripping someone, as well as being a general mood killer to the developing orgy.
    • Alternatively, his groaning may not be due to him having to participate, but rather that he'll have to sit through it all. As Verosika's bodyguard, he has to accompany her at all times, and groans because he just found out that he needs to work an extended shift that night.
  • Considering what Verosika’s posse did to Moxxie and the general characters of the beach goers, Blitzo was right to be concerned for Loona when she wandered off on the beach and to get in between her and Vortex when he found her, as Blitzo didn’t have any reason to believe the male hellhound wouldn’t do the same to his daughter. Considering his fears, it’s a miracle Blitzo didn’t try to kill Vortex then and there.

    C.H.E.R.U.B
  • The ending displays just how easy it is to be Barred from the Afterlife. While the C.H.E.R.U.B trio accidentally killing their target Lyle is a reasonable cause of this punishment, and Lyle was going to Hell anyway, the one delivering the bad news sheepishly says there's no way to come back to Heaven. The trio are now Fallen Angels, and who knows what will become of them if they aren't sent to Hell yet.
    • Additionally, because of how sensitive they are to I.M.P.'s malicious antics and because of their affiliation with Heaven, C.H.E.R.U.B would be eaten alive by Hell's ruthless, machiavellian society.
    • A Freeze-Frame Bonus for the C.H.E.R.U.B ad reveals a poster near a working Colin, with a message from "God" that says: "Surround yourself with people who will lift you up, so ditch your loser friends who you can't use." Mean-spirited as that sounds from The Almighty, this seems to imply that angels can fall if they aren't pure enough to support Heaven. Deerie has no issue banning the trio when they lose their purity, because they no longer meet God and His followers' standards.
      • This can also make Charlie's efforts a lot more complicated than they already are. If Heaven denizens are always this unforgiving to their own, especially since Cletus and the others are heavenborn, how would they act towards former sinners providing any will to even be able to redeem themselves?
    • Although it’s possible these rules only apply to angels and those born in Heaven, with humans having a different set of rules.
  • It's a good thing that none of C.H.E.R.U.B's arrows ever hit I.M.P, when you remember that holy weapons can actually kill demons permanently.
  • C.H.E.R.U.B may be a Horrible Judge of Character, but this doesn't change the fact that the world just lost three Guardian Angels. This means that more people are going to be sent to Hell without them helping people see the light or save them from their own stupidity. While they themselves are simply Barred from the Afterlife instead of losing their powers, their job is going to be much harder now.
    • On that note, it is noted that you can hire angels to become guardian angels. The problem is that if C.H.E.R.U.B is the standard, it means that they don't let background checks affect their stance on their protectorate. Imagine other people like Lyle having them as well. Makes you question your belief in a fair and just God now, wouldn't it?
      • Not quite, they were trying to convince him to change his ways. It didn't change what he did in the past, but they had good intentions.
  • Loopty and Lyle being united in Hell may seem heartwarming at first (well as heartwarming as it can be for two slimeball businessmen), until you remember that this is still the same universe as Hazbin Hotel, where angels come down to kill Sinners once per year. Let's hope this episode took place during or after Hazbin Hotel Season 1, where there is no threat of Extermination, or one of the two businessmen might have lost the other forever (assuming they didn't both die).
  • C.H.E.R.U.B trying to save someone as unrepentantly evil as Lyle should make someone suspicious of their true motivations. Would saving Lyle be viewed as just a boost to their reputations or are the ultra-rich high priority targets that Heaven just wants to keep?
    • Even if Cletus and co. managed to save Lyle from death, he's still a greedy billionaire and all-around terrible person, and these things would probably send him to Hell in the end anyway. C.H.E.R.U.B gets to pat themselves on the back for fulfilling the customer's wish, while not doing anything towards actually saving the soul in question so that he can get into Heaven.
  • If Lyle and Loopty had set the machine to youth, would they have been subjected to Death by De-aging? Is that why Lyle didn't think of using the machine to turn himself back?
  • The fact that even C.H.E.R.U.B can be condemned and Barred From The After Life might make Charlie's plan to rehabilitate sinners more of a fool's errand than it first appears, even with the very existence of I.M.P clashing with the Hotel.
  • The I.M.P have a relatively easy job—hunt target, kill em dead, payday. But the C.H.E.R.U.B commercial shows a bunch of people being injured and killed by unforseeable and unpredictable forces, like a parachute failing to open or a boulder falling on a hiker. Unless souls in Heaven are gifted with clairvoyance or time travel and can see what awful fates will befall their loved ones well in advance, there's no way the cherubs can save 100% of the clients they're tasked with protecting—how many others have been kicked out of Heaven because they failed to save their human or humans?
    • At the very least it's not likely failure would result in an instant booting. Deerie's specific wording was that their actions resulted in the death of a human. Even if she only counted Lyle, who was killed because Cletus's stray bolt shot resulted in him getting pancaked by a piano, the fight itself was caused by the Cherubs snapping and starting an all out brawl with the Imps. Even Keenie technically made the first move by tackling Millie. Even if every single human killed by stray gunshots was attributed to the imps, and not them for starting a fight, Cletus is still directly responsible for Lyle's death.
  • Now they’re both in Hell, there’s nothing that prevents Lyle and Loopty from experimenting on the poor like they did in the living world. And given how indifferent demons are to the suffering of others, the amount of homeless in Imp City and common demons' durability, Lyle and Loopty’s operation could become much grander and more horrible.
    • As seen in Hazbin Hotel, Lyle and Loopty are far from the only evil geniuses or supervillains in Hell. Which means that they'll make Hell's gang warfare problem even worse by becoming additional players in the competition for territory.
  • The Cherubs may have been kicked out of Heaven not just for interrupting a man's death, but for numerous other reasons as well. Their commercial, while happy, catchy and quite frankly adorable shows numerous people dying violently. Apart from what was immediately stated, the problem lies within that the angels seemingly recorded these deaths happening for their commercial. This implies that they could've stopped these deaths from occurring but simply chose not to for their commercial. You know, assuming they weren't faked, which is unlikely considering they put Collin in harms way of a bunch of feral giant cats. There's also the big implication that C.H.E.R.U.B. stole the jingle and overall style from I.M.P., which might be seen as a bad thing up in Heaven. They might not actually be in trouble for actually interrupting someones death but rather, for corporate reasons.

    The Harvest Moon Festival
  • It's played completely for laughs, but the fact that Sally Mae is freely roaming around Hell killing a lot of random people is...not encouraging.
  • Stella's hit only failed due to the I.M.P. Imagine if they weren't hired by Stolas and/or didn't notice Striker...
  • While Moxxie and Blitzo looked to have Striker on the ropes, he is a slippery bastard and could have easily disarmed Moxxie again. If Loona was just a minute slower and walked into Striker killing Blitzo and Moxxie, how would she react knowing she could have stopped him but didn't out of teenage apathy?
  • Stolas looked awfully chill and calm about Stella vocally plotting to murder her husband right in front of him at the dinner table. Almost as if she has attempted to murder him multiple times beforehand, and he's used to her attempts by now, but is unable to do anything about it.
  • If Stolas dies, Octavia loses the only parent who cares about her. Worse, if Stella's willing to murder her own husband, there's no guarantee she won't take it a step further...
  • Holy weaponry left by the Exorcists can be reforged to more modern variants. According to Moxxie, this has been the case for quite some time.
  • Striker's hatred of Hell's royalty may not bode well for Stella if he succeeds in killing Stolas. And even if you think Stella would have it coming, there's still the matter of this effectively making Octavia an orphan (not to mention the very real possibility that Striker wouldn't be above disposing of her next to ensure that they don't leave an heir behind).
  • Considering how strong and agile he's proven himself to be (certainly more than enough to have snapped Moxxie's neck or slashed his throat without raising the alarm,) Striker's chosen method of attempted murder while trying to silence Moxxie sure does clash with his repeated claims and insinuations that Moxxie is pathetic or unworthy of attention/trouble. Strangulation - especially with one's bare hands - is an incredibly personal way to off somebody, as well as torturously slow, painful, and frightening for the victim. Worse, Striker seems to be enjoying himself a great deal both times he tries it...
    • On the other hand, since he throws Moxxie and Millie in a storm cellar and says he wants to keep them alive so he can have leverage with Blitzo, it's very possible he was trying to just knock Moxxie out, not kill him. Though that doesn't negate the disturbing enjoyment he seemed to take in doing so...
    • There are lingering shots of Striker kneeling over Moxxie on the floor, just their legs and hips visible and jerking back and forth as Moxxie struggles. Striker does get mad about all his torture attempts becoming a "sex thing" in a later episode, but mostly because his victims keep enjoying it, not necessarily because of the sexualisation itself.
    • And then you remember Moxxie's obvious unpopularity compared to Striker, which gives extra reasoning on why he didn't immediately kill Moxxie when his plan was exposed. Just knock him out, carry out with Stolas's assassination, and place the holy rifle near the poor, unconscious imp to frame him. Sure, Blitzo and Millie will take his side, but everyone else, ranging from Millie's parents to the grand rulers of Hell will buy Striker's alibi and be outraged at the act. While Millie did interfere, it's still a pretty uncomfortable thought that Moxxie, and by extension the rest of I.M.P., would have been that close to a ruined reputation and becoming the biggest bounty in Hell.
    • As mentioned in the Nightmare Fuel page, Striker's charm and charisma contrasted with his massive ego, emotional manipulation, lack of empathy and rather...intimate ways of trying to kill his prey are all very prominent traits of serial killers in the real world. Did he become an assassin just to find an excuse to kill or at least make his killings "legitimate?"
  • The very concept of flaming twisters that terrorize the Wrath Ring. The way Moxxie and Joe speak about them shows that it’s not just a normal phenomenon, but that the inhabitants of the Wrath Ring live in constant fear of running into one. It gets worse when considering that Imps are not affected by normal fire, but a flaming twister can easily kill them, which implies that the twisters are either compromised of hellfire, or the victims are torn apart by the winds.

    Truth Seekers
  • Stolas messed up at the last minute by not killing the last two agents and/or wiping their security footage, thinking that nobody would ever believe them. If Hell is exposed, it's pretty much his fault and he would have to deal with his peers and superiors.
    • An even more horrifying thing to consider; What if Stolas KNOWS it was all recorded? One can only imagine what purpose that could serve him, but it can't be good - for D.H.O.R.K.S.
    • It won't just be bad for Hell. Anyone who's seen DEVILMAN crybaby can tell you that exposing undeniable proof of the existence of demons will devastate human society. Heaven most certainly would have to get involved to try and mitigate the damage or to punish Hell for such a massive screw-up.
  • During Blitzo's hallucination, almost everyone wields power over him. Moxxie corners him aggressively, Fizz and Striker hit him, and Stolas pulls on his chain. The exception is Verosika, who arrives crawling on her hands and knees, crying, and with her legs melting as if she were sinking. When you think about it, this seems to indicate that Blitzo fears he may have done some serious damage to Verosika. Does this imply that the circumstances of their breakup were actually worse than just him stealing her credit card and spending her money?
    • And then you remember that Verosika is an alcoholic and Blitzo knew that she was in rehab. Did Blitzo's cruelty drive her to drink? Was she already having problems and Blitzo just made them worse?
    • Is the chain a sign of the Questionable Consent issues mentioned above in "Murder Family" coming home to roost?
  • As stated on the Nightmare Fuel page, three imps and a hellhound—the lowest creatures in Hell's food chain—were able to kill dozens of highly trained government agents, which does not bode well for humanity if Lucifer decides to pull a Doom on humanity. However, the Fridge Horror could easily swing the opposite way: The four demons in question were armed with either guns or melee weapons going up against agents armed with Edo era weaponry. If those agents had swallowed their pride and used guns themselves, I.M.P. might not have survived the encounter.
  • Doubling as a moment of fridge brilliance, but as pointed out by Reddit user Jonjoejonjane, Stolas summoned himself using a ritual meant to "cage the demon to demands of the summoner but stolas was the summoner and so he dictated how his own cage work." The Goetia Prince took a ritual created by humans as a method to control demons and turned it into a means to travel between Earth and Hell without the use of portals or the Grimoire. While he has made some poor choices as of late, Stolas is by no means an idiot.

    OZZIE'S
  • Stolas mentions that Octavia is with Stella at the moment. At best, Via and Stella may have just left for the weekend without needing Stolas. At worst, this mention may hint that they have recently divorced and Stella got custody of their daughter. Knowing what a neglectful sociopath Stella is (such as not caring how much her daughter will be emotionally scarred if her father is killed), it makes you really concerned for Octavia, especially since we know from Loo Loo Land that being separated from her father is her biggest fear. No wonder Stolas looked so depressed at the beginning.
  • Look at how Fizzaroli and Verosika approach Blitzo. Looks rather familiar, doesn't it? Now look at Blitzo's acid trip in the previous episode. His nightmare came true.
  • The real Fizzarolli's discomfort towards his Loony Fan may be played for laughs, but it's entirely possible he's been stalked or even sexually assaulted by creepy fans in the past.
    • In the picture she took with Blitzo, Verosika was wearing a short dress that reads "No" near the bottom. While it's awesome that Verosika seems to be of the mindset that skimpy clothes does not equal consent, it does make one wonder if, even as a succubus, she too faced harassment that made her decide to wear the message so bluntly.
  • Back in episode 2, Blitzo calls Robo Fizz an "overrated sellout jester". Here, we see that the current real Fizzarolli is a cyborg with extendable robotic limbs. We don't yet know the circumstances behind this transformation but the term "sellout" for Fizz has disturbing implications.
  • Now that Asmodeus has blown the lid on Stolas and Blitzo's relationship, it won't be long that someone will put this and I.M.P's "special access to the living world" together and figure out that the company is going there with Stolas' help. Once this gets out to the rest of Hell, especially the higher-ups like the other Sins, Lucifer and Charlie, our beloved demons are possibly going to get utterly screwed.
  • Asmodeus and Fizzarolli make it VERY clear that Ozzie's is a club dedicated to lust and that acts of true love will not be tolerated, but Fizzarolli mentions that Ozzie's puts the sickest of desires out on display and even mentions "depravity" and "savagery" in his verses. Given this is Hell that we are talking about, stuff like "butt stuff", "piss play", and "bondage" are probably not the most extreme things going down in that club...

    Queen Bee
  • Bee can sense people's emotions, she may have lost the drinking contest against Blitz because she was distracted by his distress.
    • Even the average drunken reveler would want to pace themselves when offered special (presumably much stronger) alcohol from the Queen of Gluttony herself. Blitzø, on the other hand, did not care one bit for his own safety. Bee might not have been the one he was trying to hurt in the contest...
  • With how much alcohol Bee's guests were shown drinking, have people died of alcohol poising before? Or hell, have people drowned in the giant pits of liquor shown around the place?
  • Mixed with squick is that the patrons might be drinking booze that was swam in or contaminated with other bodily fluids, assuming Bee doesn't swap out the tubs. And Bee herself even takes a dip in the "honey" at one point.
    • To say nothing of where honey usually comes from, how exactly does Bee make that honey?
      • Well, Bee does tell the guests to "keep making [her] that motha'-fucking honey!" just after she conjures up the punch bowl. It could be some sort of spritual energy that takes the form of honey, like the collective energy of all of the partygoers given physical form. But that's a little WMG.

Season Two

    The Circus
  • Considering how abusive Paimon is, one shudders to imagine what happened when he found out Blitzo robbed the palace and Stolas even helped him.
    • Potentially worse, Paimon might never have even noticed because he's such a completely absentee parent and it's fairly clear that particular palace was home to Stolas and precisely none of his siblings.
  • The photo of Stella that Paimon shows Stolas depicts her strangling a dog in a fit of rage. Which summons a few questions:
    • If that picture was meant to endear Stolas to the prospect of marrying her, it suggests either that Paimon has no qualms about animal abuse or that said cruelty has become normalized in the Goetia household.
    • If the picture was meant to be cute, then it would imply that it's one of Stella's better traits and that she is even worse in person.
    • The dog not being strangled has tears in its eyes. Which implies that Stella does this regularly.
  • Paimon casually buying a young Blitzo as a playmate for Stolas is deeply disturbing on a number of levels, implying that the demon king is not above buying or owning others as property, regardless of age.
    • It gets far worse, as judging from Cash’s belief that it was Fizzarolli that Paimon wanted, then Cash was perfectly willing to sell somebody else’s’ child to a complete stranger and was just calculating a price (quite possibly having Fizz steal for him too and then take the blame if he got caught) which could imply that the circus performers are little more than slaves and Cash, as the ringmaster, can do with them as he pleases.
    • Fizzarolli's parents are never seen or mentioned, and the way Blitzo's father tries to put a hefty price tag on him when Paimon asks about a playmate for Stolas seems to imply that Cash has primary custody over Fizz. Which begs the question - what happened to Fizzarolli's parents? Are they dead, and Cash took Fizz in? Or was he another "transaction" Cash partook in?
    • Cash was willing to rent out his son to a stranger for the day for a Comically Small Bribe. Has he done this before, or did he do so again afterwards? To any or all of the three kids? And, while the condom was part of the bribe and not intended to be used by the renting party, its presence is certainly a reminder of the most likely outcome of doing that. Possibly emphasised by Cash creepily telling Blitzo "There are scarier things" than having to hang out with another kid for the day. This might explain why he asked for so little money anyway despite Paimon surely being willing to throw way more money at him and Blitzo being made to steal from him anyway - he cared so little that "what have you got in your pockets" was his usual price for the kid and he didn't want to price himself out of the market.
    • If Blitzo really was pimped out as a child, this adds layers to his overprotectiveness of Loona. He KNOWS what creepy guys could do to her, and he's being the loving, protective parent he didn't have.
    • Why didn't Blitzo's sainted mother stop Cash from renting him out? Well, she's not part of the circus show and we don't see her backstage, so a common fan theory is that she was ill, either just then or always. In that case, they really would need the money from Paimon to help her, and if it was a long-lasting condition, that would mean she couldn't run away when the circus caught on fire. Note also that Cash guilts Blitzo into helping by telling him it'll help his mother, and "There are scarier things" - scarier like his mother dying?
  • Stolas downing entire bottles of absinthe just to put up with living with Stella and her constant emotional abuse. Absinthe is a kind of alcohol that has, for more than a century and a half, has had a reputation for being strong, addictive and even psychoactive. Stolas even wakes up hungover next to an empty bottle of absinthe after his breakup with Blitzo. Considering these drinking habits and how easily he expected Stella's attempt to slap him across the face, their marriage must be physically abusive as well.
    • Also consider: to drink absinthe, you pour a small amount into a glass, then essentially dilute it with a sugar cube and a lot of cold water. Stolas drinks it straight out of the bottle. Even the imp serving it to him just pours it directly into a shotglass, implying he does this often enough his servants are used to it.
    • This also potentially means Blitzo fucked a drunken/tripping man (absinthe can cause hallucination). To be fair, though, Stolas doesn't really seem drunk, and it's reasonable to assume Goetias have a much higher tolerance than a human.
  • It was not clear how old Stolas is meant to be exactly, but he doesn't look much older than ten or eleven during the flashback to his childhood. The flashback to when he met Blitzo; takes place twenty-five years later in the near-present, making Stolas approximately 35 years old. Octavia is explicitly stated to be 17 in this episode...meaning Stolas and a similarly-aged Stella would have been pushed to have a child as teenaged parents. Apparently, 18 is considered being an adult in Hell.
  • The way Paimon and later Stolas refer to the latter's potential children as "precautionary" heirs—Paimon was using this term since Stolas' childhood, meaning he's always toyed with the possibility of something nasty happening to his son(s). Which might explain why he has so many in the first place.
  • Stella states that Stolas is "terrible in bed" and that he just lies there while she "does all the work". Stolas obviously isn't enjoying himself, and if he consented, it's clear that he does that just to produce an heir. Regardless of if he consented unenthusiastically or worse, he didn't at all, there's a high chance that Octavia is a Child by Rape.
  • Is Stella actually just still at the palace to torment Stolas or is she trying to avoid having to go back to her family? Her own brother semi-openly makes sexual advances to her, and animal abuse in children can be a sign of an abused child lashing out...

    Seeing Stars
  • It's clear Octavia has never traveled anywhere outside of Hell. So what would have happened to her if the grimoire didn't interpret, "take me to the stars" as placing her in Hollywood? She could have ended up someplace far worse than the human realm and maybe someplace even her father couldn't reach. Stolas even tells her he hasn't taught her any spells yet.
  • The pilot episode implies Loona has syphilis, but her awkwardness around Vortex in "Spring Broken" suggests she's inexperienced. Now, this contradiction could be brushed off as another case of Early-Installment Weirdness. Then this episode came along and showed just how terrible the place Blitzo adopted her from was, how utterly terrified she was there, and how male and female hellhounds could apparently share rooms. You do the math.
    • It's also possible that Loona was adopted by a previous owner who took advantage of her, only for her to end up going back to the adoption center for whatever reason.
  • If Blitzo hadn't adopted her, Loona would apparently have "aged out of the system" and been "out of the kennel's hair". This could simply mean that Loona would be kicked out, but given a mix of how scared she looked, the way hellhounds are treated in this setting and what sometimes happens to real dogs when they're deemed too old for adoption…
  • The hellhounds at the adoption center seem to be quite aggressive with each other as one of them challenges Loona to a fight with a bloody bat covered in nails. Obviously, Loona had no trouble swatting the pup away given she was much bigger, but she probably wasn't as lucky when she was a child.
  • More like Fridge Sadness, but part of the reason Loona was hunched so far back in her "bed" when Blitzo came by her cell? The walls are just metal bars, and Hellhounds have above-average hearing—she could hear the caretaker explain her attitude problems to Blitzo, who had specifically, out loud, requested a "family friendly" hound. What's more, her beating another hound into the wall would probably be seen as a very family-unfriendly action, meaning that—even if it was self-defense—Loona would think her chances with this potential adopter were officially tanked. No wonder she looks so upset.
  • The meteor shower Octavia wanted to see was called "Azathoth's Tears". Problem is, Azathoth and the rest of the Cthulhu Mythos was created as a relatively recent work of fiction (H. P. Lovecraft first conceived of him in 1919), yet he's mythical and/or historical enough in Hell to have an extremely rare and dazzling cosmic event named after him. So do Azathoth and the rest of his ilk actually exist out there? If so, why would God create such monstrosities?
  • Blitzo and Stolas may have been in disguise while up on Earth, but Moxxie, Millie, and Octavia weren't. D.H.O.R.K.S could very well have gotten more footage of them from hidden cameras or social media. And if they learn about Stolas's connection to Octavia, that might factor into a future plan for how they can potentially capture Stolas.
  • This video points out that in Loona's side of her cell at the orphanage/pound we see crude drawings you would expect a young child to draw of her with what seems to be a previous owner/father. What happened? At this point, do we even want to know?
  • Considering how long she has been in foster care and how utterly hostile she is to nearly everyone around her (even by Hellhound standards), it's unlikely that she has any ability to survive on her own without Blitzo as her guardian. What would happen to her if Blitzo, Moxxie and Millie were killed or otherwise unable to return home from the living world?

    Exes and Oohs
  • Based on the ending scene, we know that Crim mounts the remains of his various victims as trophies in his home; at least the ones significant enough to earn such an unfortunate fate. So, there's a decent chance that whatever was left of Moxxie's mother after Crim had her killed is displayed somewhere in the mob boss' home in a similar manner.
    • It gets worse: Many of the trophies are hung in the dining room, meaning Moxxie may have spent his childhood eating his meals in full view of his own mother's scalp and horns, knowing full well what he was looking at. And what it may mean for him if he ever tried to stand up to his father.
      • Made better (or worse) if we assume Crimson wouldn't bother putting in the effort to dredge up her body after her cement shoes treatment in the lake.
      • Remember the victim we saw Moxxie dump in? Their horns were sawed off already. Crimson wouldn't need to recover a body when he's already taken the trophies he wants from it.
  • Looking closely at Crimson's walls, it's not just imp horns and shark jaws hung up. There are Hellhound collars, horns and candles from Baphomet demons, wings and heart chokers from succubi...not even the higher or stronger classes are safe from this psychotic imp's wrath if he decides they need to go.
    • How many Hellhounds got killed bodyguarding someone who crossed Crimson?
  • There’s a true testament to how horrible Crimson has been to Moxxie in that, even when Moxxie is not only an independent adult, but also an assassin who carries a small arsenal on his person on a regular basis, he’s still so scared of his father that he doesn’t think to actually shoot him until he threatens to do so when he stands up to him. The flashbacks we saw? They only offer a glimpse into what his childhood and early adulthood was like. What other horrors has the poor guy experienced at Crimson’s hands since he was barely a toddler to still leave him almost paralyzed with fear around him as a grown man?
    • Or maybe, on some subconscious level, he can’t bring himself to actually kill his Dad - Despite all of the abuse, he is still his father, so perhaps he’s gotten it beaten into his head that having an evil, abusive monster of a parent is better than having no family at all.
  • If the forced marriage between Moxxie and Chaz had gone through, would Crimson, who has been shown to be rather traditional, have forced it to be consummated? Chaz does give Moxxie a very concerning leer at the altar.
    • Crimson also dismisses Millie as Moxxie's beard and has a distinctly flirtatious manner with her when greeting her, not to mention he didn't simply have her killed - two goons cornered her in the morning when she found Blitzo in Chaz's car, but they weren't wielding weapons. Was he planning on taking her for himself once Moxxie was with someone else?
  • It's horrifying that sweet, gentle little Moxxie was forced to participate in his father's business dealings. However, the thought of what he'd be like if he did take after dear ol' dad is even more unsettling...
    • Moxxie's mother died knowing that her son was going to be left with nobody but his psychopathic father and no way to be sure whether or not Moxxie would remain the sweet imp she loved so much under those horrible conditions.
    • If she even knew or thought Crimson would let Moxxie live...
  • Odds are good that was Moxxie's mother's wedding dress Crimson put him in. Would save money and he's a Greed imp. If it was, Moxxie probably knew it was hers. Another good memory ruined.
  • Crimson spared no expense in trying to marry Moxxie off to Chaz, going as far as to install retractable dildos throughout the house, put up tons of suggestive photographs of Chaz and even have a nuptial room custom-built for the two of them. Crimson cares more about Chaz's value as an asset than he has ever valued Moxxie as his own son.
    • If Crimson sees his own son as a bargaining chip for his mafia dealings, then imagine the kind of lows he's willing to stoop to in the name of revenge against I.M.P. for foiling his plans.
  • Now that I.M.P has a whole mafia gunning for them, they better be prepared, or they are going to be wearing Cement Shoes in the future. And Hell is practically run by organized crime. Even if they didn't have to deal with Striker, Verosika, C.H.E.R.U.B, D.H.O.R.K.S, Fizzarolli or Asmodeus, I.M.P. may be hopelessly outgunned.
  • How did Chaz die? Scamming a sadistic and ruthless mafia boss like Crimson, and nearly succeeding at that, isn't likely to get him a quick death. And he likely didn't get the Cement Shoes treatment, since he's a shark demon. So however he went out, it was probably even more unpleasant and gruesome than drowning at the bottom of a (toxic) lake.
  • The only reason Crimson kept his son alive was to get rich by selling him off in marriage to alleged millionaire Chaz. But now that Chaz is dead? God knows what Crimson could be plotting to get even with Moxxie and I.M.P.
  • Moxxie's addressing Blitzo with "Sir" isn't just because he is professional. It is a subconscious Verbal Tic from his time under his father's thumb.
    • Worst of all, it may mean that Moxxie sees Blitzo as a father figure in the worst way possible - a father figure that openly spies on him and his wife for shits and giggles.
  • Also, this episode is a Cerebus Retcon machine:
    • Remember the Pilot where Moxxie had a dream about his parents being murdered? And how his mother was the only one who showed him any kind of parental love or concern? This means that he regularly dreams about taking revenge against Crimson for his mother's murder.
      • Reinforced by "Murder Family", when Moxxie says that the only family he's willing to slaughter is a mafia family. In fact, Moxxie's freak-out while Blitzo is trying to take aim at Martha may have been triggered (no pun intended) by the memory of his late mother. In fact, it may give a hint as to how she was murdered.
    • "Loo Loo Land": Moxxie expresses how theme parks disturb him. Given how close it is to his house and how it may have been used as a front by Crimson for his activities, it makes you wonder what kind of awful things young Moxxie saw there.
    • "Spring Broken" and "Harvest Moon Festival" has Moxxie getting attacked by fish, with the latter being a shark. Considering the kind of demons his father hires...
  • Potential Fridge Squick: During Moxxie’s Calling the Old Man Out, he calls Chaz ”Herpes The Clown”. Now, this is probably (hopefully) just a general insult as a jab at Chaz’s promiscuity, sleaziness and low standards… But if Chaz does have, or did have, herpes, how would Moxxie know that? Did Chaz give him an STD in the past?
  • Blitzo yells in pain during his interlude with Chaz. Possibly Chaz wasn't using those oil drums of lube in his "Cum Zone".
  • When corpses are submerged for a long time, they tend to split apart at the weak joints when they rot, such as feet coming off at the ankle. When Moxxie sees his mother's shoe suddenly pop to the surface, it's likely her foot was still in it.

    Western Energy
  • While convincing Stella to not kill Stolas, Andrealphus states "eternity is a long time, my dear", implying Goetias are immortal. We have no idea if imps are too, so Stolas may end up outliving Blitzo.
  • Stella gets absolutely nothing if Stolas dies only because Octavia would inherit everything. But if Via were out of the picture...
    • Stella might not be bright enough or have the foresight to realize the implications of this. Andrealphus, however, may very well have already thought it over. With Stolas incapacitated and Striker still on the loose, Octavia could be in some serious danger.
    • Worse still is that Stolas has yet to teach Octavia any spells and it's still unknown if she can access a full demon form like her father. So if Andrealphas does decide to send Striker or any other assassins after Octavia, she'll be a sitting owl.
    • Even worse is that Striker clearly knows about Octavia already. Meaning that he also most likely knows where to find her...
  • Hopefully, that used needle Loona was injected with didn't give her more diseases. On that note, the doctor is probably infected with a whole bunch of illnesses now.
  • As demonstrated throughout the show, imps and hellhounds are considered the lowest of the low in Hell. In here, Striker is revealed to be at the absolute bottom of the barrel, not even having a proper roof over his head and having to make do with some abandoned caves, which was implied to be the fault of the Goetias or Hell's other higher-ups. Any wonder why he is pissed at Stolas?
  • Crosses into Fridge Sadness, but how is Octavia going to react to Stolas' injuries, especially once she learns that her mother is the reason he's like that?
  • Stolas has two sets of eyes, and Striker only has one set of hands. If he did get to gouging out Stolas' eyes, Stolas could watch it happen. Worse, it would last twice as long for him as it would a normal demon.
  • Considering how quickly the doctors rushed to Stolas' aid when he arrived, as an Ars Goetia, there's likely security on his floor for being a VIP. But those lists usually have a list of people who are allowed to see him. Stolas has likely made sure that Stella and Andrealphus are on a list of "DO NOT ALLOW ENTRY", but how easy will it be for them to gain access with the money and power they have at their disposal, especially since Stella is still technically Stolas' wife? And considering they're planning on extorting as much as they can from Stolas, how long before they stop focusing on his wealth and focus on using custody of Via as a bargaining chip, since she's not yet 18?
  • Andrealphus is all but stated to have lustful feelings for his own sister, something she's visibly uncomfortable with. It's possible this is a recent development, but it's just as likely he's had these feelings for a long time, perhaps going into the time when they lived together in their parents' palace. Additionally, if he has these feelings for Stella, what about Octavia?
  • Andrealphus and Stella's casual and playful attitude to towards the hit on Stolas implies that usage of holy weapons on rivals within the Goetia is commonplace, and it would be more surprising that things were resolved non-violently.
  • In the song they sing, the mariachis mention that Striker likes to eat Pate. Pate is usually made from birds. Was Striker planning to eat Stolas after killing him?
  • Loona's fear of needles isn't just a silly irrational phobia. Consider that she grew up in what is essentially a dog pound, and how close she was to being euthanized (presumably via lethal injection) before Blitzo adopted her. And since it's Hell, they have no problem lying to the hellhounds so they won't resist and make things difficult for their handlers. How many people had she seen "Just going out to receive a yearly hell-bies shot" that never came back?
    • A Fridge Logic alternative to this is that it's perfectly in line with the orphanages' nature to not bother with getting their charges the shots at all. Loona likely had no idea what the shot entailed or how she'd react to it.
    • Or it could be both. Only those about to be adopted out receive hellbie shots, those who are to be euthanized are just told they are about to be adopted and then they get killed by lethal injection. Its a gamble for the hellhound.
  • The existence of hellbies in general. Rabies, although extremely rare in the industrialized world, remains one of the most feared viruses known to man. A carrier is already dead when they start showing symptoms of the virus, which is why rabies shots are always preventative. Hellbies must be many times worse. How do we know? Even in Hell's lazy, greedy, ultracapitalistic, "no respect for sanctity of life" dystopia, hellbie shots are provided free of charge, yearly. How horrible are the hellbie symptoms if a bunch of greedy psychopaths are ready to spend a lot of time and effort for prevention?

    Unhappy Campers
  • Barbie Wire claims she's only on heroin when Blitzo asks her, he (after a moment of relief) says it "barely gets rid of a headache" so there's little point in dealing it (or being on it for that matter). Just how much stronger are the drugs in Hell since heroin is seen as weak? And how much worse was Barbie's addiction for her to get into rehab in the first place?
    • The fact that the nurse who was stonewalling Blitzo was competent and concerned for Barbie implies it's even worse - whatever it was, it's something even Belphegor, who is heavily implied to be Hell's drug magnate, devotes effort to competent rehab. Read that again: the Queen of Sloth thinks it's so bad she makes sure the doctors actually do their part.
    • Blitzo being worried about Barbie being addicted to "H-8" and being relived that it was just heroin. While it might be a Fantastic Drug for Hell, according to this comment, it is highly likely that he might be actually referring to the painkiller hydromorphone hydrochloride, which is sometimes referred to as "H-8". This drug has five times the potency of morphine and is mainly reserved for dealing with cancer-inflicted pain, without Hell possibly making it even stronger. If Barbie is really addicted to this, no wonder everyone dealing with her is worried about her relapsing. This is also brings the issue as to why she would be addicted to this drug in the first place...
      • Even if we just plainly pronounce the drug name "H-8" as "Hate", it sounds no less dangerous and potent. If Hell can manufacture and distribute concentrated doses of emotion as drugs... yikes.
  • The simple fact that drug-dealing is considered an honest job in Hell.
    • And that it's apparantly normal for demons to get their drugs in the human world, which they pay suppliers for. That makes Barbie's profession as much of a danger to exposing that hell is real as I.M.P is, only on a much larger scale because despite how messy I.M.P is, they leave no witnesses unless interfered with and is limited to one company, whereas drug dealing demons are logically much greater in number, and likely to get high on their own supply, increasing the danger of getting caught.
    • That being said, Barbie is pretty pissed that her supplier got killed and says she's out of a job now. One would think she would try covering up the murder, hiding the body, and then delivering the drugs herself, but instead she escapes back to Hell and takes nothing with her for fear of suspicion and getting caught. Also, this is the Sloth ring we're talking about; if any place would be inefficient in their employment and planning for contingency, that would be it.
  • Being a "recovering" addict, who openly states she's addicted to the very drug she's dealing, there's a big chance that Barbie will have a relapse if she continues in the business.
    • It makes sense why Barbie would find a job almost adjacent to the place which helped her become clean (by Hell's standards, at least), but that makes it awfully easy for her to slide back into her old ways, thereby almost guaranteeing her re-admission into rehab. Talk about a vicious cycle in Hell. This may also explain why Blitz wanted to check up on her after hearing that she was clean.
  • "I'm finishing it. One way or another". Careful Moxxie, your Crimson is showing...
  • Stressors and an inability to manage one's emotions as a result of those stressors are a major reason for why addicts relapse. Barbie left rehab, got an honest job and was working on rebuilding her life. She obviously has very negative feelings towards her twin (even without her screaming at him to leave her alone, the X over her family crest on her forehead gives that away) and he screws up the job she had. Moxxie and Millie helped, but Blitz was there and even though he wanted to help, he took away a major part of her support system. If she doesn't find another job soon, she could relapse again and that would be yet another thing to feel guilty for. He clearly wants to make amends, but it's also very clear that Barbie has no intention of making that a possibility. And given that we're probably going to see Fizz again soon, not to mention he hasn't visited Stolas, it looks like Blitz is about to have a very difficult next couple of episodes.
  • Blitzo calling Moxxie a "fucking disgrace" in the end is harsh and cruel enough, especially since he baited him with supposed praise first. But it manages to become even worse when you consider that Moxxie has likely heard similar sentiments before from Crimson - Since there are some implications that Moxxie might see Blitzo as a bit of a father figure, that's one more session of verbal abuse from somebody who he's tried so hard to gain the approval of. Combined with the Humiliation Conga, it's not surprising if Moxxie walks away from all of this with his self-esteem worse than ever.
  • People in-universe definitely mind the incest, but remember that Moxxie and Millie were pretending to be campers. No one cares that what they think are two preteen children are having sex in public?

    Oops
  • Since their owner dropped their leashes and was later kidnapped, what exactly happened to Fizz's dogs?
    • One of them sure ain't coming back: it gets mashed against a window as a result of Blitzo and Fizz's fight in the street, as seen during Striker's meeting with Crimson.
    • Thankfully, the closed captioning over the ending title card says, "BTW: DON'T WORRY, The quieves all made it home safe and sound <3"
  • It's highly likely that a lot more people died in that fire then just Blitzo and Barbie's mother, considering how fast it spread.
    • It's a good thing Robo-Fizz ended up getting eaten...imagine the guilt Blitzø would have felt at seeing another Fizzarolli light up under a flaming circus tent right in front of him.
  • The way Fizz reacted when Blitzo was implying that he gain money by being Asmodeus' plaything has some dark implication when you remember people could pay Cash to have him in their home and his discomfort towards a Loony Fan implies he may have been sexually assaulted in the past.
    • The same might have happened to Blitzo. Cash did accept money in exchange for strangers spending time with the kid already.
  • Just what happened to Blitzo when it was discovered he started the fire? Barbie loved him and now she can't stand him but Cash? It was probably bad.
  • While the guy had it coming, there's no doubt that whatever Fizz and Ozzie did to Crimson's lawyer was...not pretty. It doesn't help we aren't shown what they did to him when the show has never shied away from violence before.
  • With the revelation that imp vitiligo (white skin patches) are healed-over wounds, it's hard not to notice how... precise Barbie's patches are...
    • Similarly, Moxxie notably has a few white spots on his face that look like freckles otherwise... but with the knowledge that white markings are burn scars, combined with the fact that his abusive dad Crimson smokes cigars, leaves a rather unsettling implication.
    • As for Fizz? "This AIN'T MAKEUP!"
  • Fizz's voice was much less scratchy as a child. Aging definitely plays a factor, but one can't help but think of how much smoke must have entered the poor imp's lungs and throat in the fire...
  • With how pissed off Striker is over IMP's continued victories over him, the fact that Blitzo lit him on fire and, most likely, left him with permanent marks because of it (thus, a permanent reminder that he lost to Blitzo and Fizz), is only going to result in his sanity snapping further.
  • In hindsight, Blitzø and Fizz’s flashback might explain why the former constantly keeps any meaningful relationship at arm’s length, even though he desperately craves for love. It’s bad enough having an abusive asshole for a father, who makes no attempt to hide his favoritism to some random imp over their own son, and even manipulates said child into making questionable things, without care for his well-being (in fact, as Blitzø stated, he enjoyed to crash his dreams by making him feel like a trash). But after accidentally setting the circus on fire, which maimed his best friend (and maybe first love) and possibly killed his own mother, he comes with the conclusion that whoever makes contact with him would eventually get hurt in the process because of him. So to avoid hurting them and feeling guilty about it, he pushes them away with his jerkass tendencies, which only hurt them even more, in a vicious Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.
  • Fizz saying that he's "getting hard" in response to Striker threatening his life is Played for Laughs, but it's worth noting that an erection can also be a response to stress or fear (due to your body's fight-or-flight instincts pumping your body with adrenaline).

MAMMON’S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)
  • The fact that a teen Blitzo knew Mammon was wicked as he saw his show makes sense once you remember what Blitzo's father is like.
  • With Striker still on the loose, Fizz and Ozzie now not only being open about their relationship, but that people are outright supportive of it is only going to drive him more insane.
  • More than a couple fans in the audience have broken horns like Fizz. The heartwarming option is that they love him because he has broken horns like them...the more concerning option is that they have broken horns because they love Fizz so much they want to emulate him.
    • The little deaf fan wants to be just like Fizzarolli someday. Remembering Fizz's admiration of Mammon and how it got him into the Sin's clutches in the first place, it's quite possible the little fan will grow up to serve Mammon in a similar way. How guilty would Fizz be to see something like that? Let's hope he got the warning Fizz was trying to tell him in "Two Minutes Notice".
    • The fact that the various broken horns shown are jagged instead of being sanded down implies that imp horns are permanent like bovines, meaning that the scars they leave behind are there for all to see and can't grow back.
  • Considering that Mammon only cared about the bottom line, was it possible he let fans pay him to have sex with Fizz before coming up with the sex bots?
    • He might still be doing so. On first glance the couch in Fizz' dressing room looks like a bed.
  • The robots in Mammon's commercial are very clearlyuncomfortable, even dismayed at some of the functions they're meant to serve. Why make robots that can feel and express pain if it's presumably much easier (read: cheaper) to make a hollow metal shell? Because there's a demand for them.
    • The Loo Loo Land Fizzbot doesn't just have emotions, it also seems to remember things about the real Fizz's past with Blitzø—it has memories, emotions, a full personality. It practically has a soul of its own. Just how much of Fizzarolli did Mammon steal to make his millions? And does anybody at all care about these robots and their feelings?
    • The Fizzbot at Loo Loo Land was both fully sapient and capable of holding a grudge. If the sexbots are made similarly and seem to dislike what their owners do to them, it REALLY doesn't seem like a good idea to trust them with your genitals.
  • Ozzie confirms in this episode that the sins have been around since Hell began, meaning they are most likely immortal, meaning that he's going to outlive Fizz. Similarly, Bee is going to outlive Vortex.
  • A royal demon admitting to be in love with an imp might be the breakthrough Stella and Andrealphus were waiting for, most likely giving them the idea to actively go after Blitzo to use him as leverage against Stolas should he too have feelings for him (which he does).
    • There's also Mammon's final words about Ozzie regretting his confession. Was it a threat that he'd find someway to twist it to his advantage, or a warning that there'd be unforseen consequences down the road?...
  • While seemingly a throwaway gag, Loony Fan Arick's hate blog address ending in a .gov domain opens up some fridge horror. If Hell internet works the same way as Earth internet, .gov domains are reserved for sites endorsed by the government...which in the Greed ring would be Mammon. It makes sense for Mammon to encourage a Fizzy hater or two—all it takes is one psycho fan to throw Fizz off and make him doubt his abilities enough for Mammon to tighten the leash.
  • The first photo shown during "2 Minutes' Notice" shows a nervous Fizzarolli juggling many dangerous things, one of which is a torch lit with Greed's green fire. Depending on when the photos were taken, this could be very soon after the circus accident—Mammon is pressing a REALLY big trauma button for Fizz here.
  • Fizz quitting as well as them technically being the winners of the clown pageant means that Mammon is no doubt going to turn to Glitz and Glam to be his new money makers and considering how he treated Fizz, they are most likely in for a rough time in the future.
    • Fizzarolli had uncomfortably horny, boundary-trampling fans when he wasn't actively selling his sexuality. Given how the twins explicitly sing that they "want to sell [their] funny, slutty bodies to the masses," one can only imagine and shudder at the lengths their fanbase will go with a percieved greenlight to be as perverted as possible.
  • Arick's reprehensible behavior towards Fizzarolli gets even worse when you realize he's been this obsessive since Fizz was a teenager. In the flashback, he's just as grabby, entitled, and inappropraite to Fizz as he is in the present, and Blitzo comments that he's been caught skulking around their dressing rooms. We don't know what age Arick is in comparison, but he's taller than Fizz and has noticable facial hair, so it's probably safe to assume he's legally an adult in those flashbacks, and he's openly perving on and harassing a minor, even reducing him to tears. It doesn't bear thinking about what would have happened if Arick managed to catch Fizzarolli on his own, given how the poor kid was too scared and uncomfortable to tell him to back off.
    • Arick complains that the Fizzbots "don't get me off right" - considering how long he's been into Fizz, is it because the sexbots don't look like kid Fizz?!
  • Oliver tells Fizz he wants to be a clown too. Was part of the push to breaking point for Fizz the thought of Mammon getting his hooks in Oliver too?
