Fridge Brilliance

  • The water guns kill monsters because they are filled with holy water, and all the monsters are weak against holy symbols.
  • The soldiers have PTSD. That's why they freak out when monsters come their way.
  • Zeke having 3D Glasses may not make sense at first. But Zombies Ate My Neighbors is based off of various movies, which like today had 3D effects and glasses as a potential selling point. But unlike today, the technology was limited and would be done with a red/blue effect.

Fridge Horror

  • The Son of Dr. Tongue. He is clearly a reference to "The Fly", but that just makes you wonder how he became that way. Did his father give him the potion that turned him into the monster he is? Did he know what it would do to him? Another thing to consider: the Son is a victim.
  • There are two ways to get a game over: all of the victims die, or the players lose all their lives. What happens after that? If Zeke and Julie die, what do the victims do? Do they just wait for the monsters to kill them? But if the victims die instead, what do Zeke and Julie do? Do they just keep going? Even if they ended up defeating Dr. Tongue, they would still be the only two people left on earth. Or do they decide there's no point in going on and commit suicide?
    • Well, consider this. When all victims are killed off, the exit door doesn't appear. Therefore, one could argue that Zeke and Julie are completely stuck in whatever level that neighbor died in.
  • Think about the hedge maze. There is NO WAY TO GET OUT. At least in other levels, there's an opening on one side of the screen that suggests an exit, but that is not the case for Chainsaw Hedgemaze Mayhem. So, theoratically, if it weren't for the magic Exit Doors, Zeke and Julie would be stuck in there forever, at the mercy of the Chainsaw Maniacs.
