Fridge moments in Thousand Shinji:
- Canonically Shinji irritated Asuka because he would not stand up for himself and he apologized for anything without meaning it. Hence, if Shinji was strong-willed rather a submissive wimp, they would get along better tan in canon. A lot of "Shinji is a badass" stories do not get this, but Academia Nut does.
- When you think about it, the Chaos Gods powers suit the main characters well: Shinji is son of two ambitious schemers; Asuka is a warrior; Rei is an apathetic Death Seeker whose apartment is a slovenly, dirty, unsanitary mess; and Misato resorts to alcohol and excess when her pain is too strong.
- As soon as Shinji woke up from his coma and saw Asuka he could have healed her mind there and then while Rei guarded them. Still Shinji decides that she -someone capable to turn any intruder into a mass of pus in the blink of an eye- is not protection enough and he leaves to pick his Space Marines up, leaving both girls alone and wasting valuable time.
