Fridge moments in The One I Love Is...:
- When Misato collapses over the floor after listening to Kaji's last call Shinji hurries to hug her, tries to console her and helps her to go to her bedroom, rather than hiding in his room and putting his headphones on to drown out Misato's cries and sobs. That single scene shows how much Shinji had changed at that point.
- When Shinji goes berserk against the MP-Evas who just maimed Asuka. In the original movie, he'd just go past the Despair Event Horizon, instead of flying in an Unstoppable Rage and a Roaring Rampage of Revenge.
