Fridge Brilliance

  • In the first episode, Bugs and Daffy enter a competition TV show where you’re supposed to know everything about your best friend. The host asks them how long they’ve known each other, and Bugs replies: "17 years" as Daffy simultaneously answers “5 years”. Later in the same episode, Speedy calls Daffy out for taking advantage of Bugs’ hospitality, and Daffy answers, "I don't live here, I'm just crashing here until I'm back on my feet." Speedy counters with: "You crash here for 5 years you live here, right?" So, to elaborate: Daffy didn't actually count Bugs as a proper friend until he was offered to live at his house, because he couldn't properly exploit him before. This makes his ego fit the sociopath trope perfectly.
    • Daffy's actions in "The Float", displays typical sociopathic behaviour; all from being completely self-centered, and exploiting Porky's charity by lying that he's going to get a kidney transplant. Porky gives him all his savings and his normal cash, leaving him to starve and live on garbage for several days in favor of Daffy getting that transplant (but he lied, he's buying an expensive yacht). Daffy doesn't feel the slightest hint of remorse of doing any of that, even when he's busted and beaten the snot out of by Porky himself. He even blames everything on Porky and outright says, "Why is everyone blaming me?!", a creepily very, very typical thing for a sociopath to think when he's wanted for something similar.
  • Why is Bugs' favorite music genre smooth jazz? When jazz first made its rounds in the United States, it was associated with rebellious children who never followed the rules, due to sanctimonious Christians deeming it as blasphemous. So, what better music genre for a famous Karmic Trickster like Bugs to listen to than one that was considered rebellious?
  • Why does Daffy treat Porky like garbage and use him? Simple: Porky bullied him in school. And Daffy doesn't accept any apologies. The fact that Porky lets him be such a jerk to him could be more than just his desperate want to have friends; he feels that he deserves it.
    • What's more, just like how Daffy used to be a nerd with good manners only to become a selfish jerk, Porky ceased to be cool and popular and became shy and insecure. Porky was likely consumed by his guilt for ruining Daffy's self-esteem to the point he lost his security, confidence and social skills, which just reinforces the stereotype that bullies are insecure people who take out their frustrations by picking on others.
  • Why was Marvin one of the "losers" in high school? Because he's a Martian. Considering both that Teens Are Monsters, and that there is no apparent flaw to him but his will to destroy Earth (that no one believes he will succeed with), it could only be this reason. Even better: he plots to destroy the Earth thanks to his horrible times in high school, meaning he is mad at the Earthlings for freezing him out.
  • "Reunion" reveals that Daffy and Porky have known each other since high school, even a longer time than either of them have known Bugs. It's very interesting because both Porky and Daffy were officially created before Bugs (Porky 1935, Daffy 1937) and both shared a short ("Porky's Duck Hunt", which also happened to be Daffy's debut short), before Bugs even existed as a character (1940)!
    • Also, Porky was apparently a bully towards Daffy in high school. And, well, you can just guess from the title "Porky's Duck Hunt" where I'm getting at. Coincidence? Think not.
  • In the episode "Double Date" a flashback shows Daffy at a dinner where he tells the waiter they'll split a salad, and asks to keep the bread coming. Of course he'd want the bread. He's a duck.
  • Bugs' and Daffy's unspoken affection for each other is shown through the women they fall in love with; Lola is an airhead who loves to use Insane Troll Logic and is usually in need of Bugs' help, much like Daffy, while Tina is sensible and collected and usually solves the crisis, much like Bugs does.
  • The Broken Base audience for this show criticizes the sitcom-style set-up and dislikes how the Looney Tunes characters all live in the same neighborhood, regularly hang out, and seem to all know one another, as opposed to the self-contained storylines of the classic shorts. However, pick up one of the old Gold Key Comics from the 1950's sometime, and you'd be surprised to see much the same arrangement: Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny (mostly) get along and even go on adventures together (though they do argue over Bugs stealing carrots from Elmer's garden), Yosemite Sam is a reformed ex-pirate who has a house on the same block and acts like a friendly and helpful, if on occasion a bit grumpy, neighbor to Bugs, Porky, and the gang, and Beaky is an amiable dope who's usually paired with fellow fowl Daffy (who tends to take advantage of his good nature a lot).
  • How is it that Bugs and Speedy are friends, with Speedy living in Bugs' walls? According to "Reunion", Bugs used to be the President of Mexico. Of course he would first meet Speedy in his home country.
  • It's never brought up again (aside from a brief mention in the following episode), but after "Peel of Fortune", Bugs is likely even richer than before. Not only did his time machine help him stop Daffy from screwing him over, but he also has future knowledge that carrots are about to boom in popularity, mixed with knowing how to PROPERLY build the automatic carrot peeler.

Fridge Horror

  • One episode Porky (Who loves eating Pepperoni) discovers what it really is, and is mortified. Though seeing how pigs are as sapient as humans in that reality...
    • Fun fact; Pigs DO eat Pigs irl. No joke, look it up. It is a real thing that pigs do. In fact, Pigs have eaten people in ancient times as a form of death sentence. SO...yeah. This is disturbing, but has some basis in reality. It's a good thing Porky has some morality to him.
  • In "Peel of Fortune", the last we see of Daffy in the timeline where he invented the Automatic Carrot Peeler is him getting hit by the wrecking ball demolishing his house. It's a good thing Bugs went back in time to undo it all...
  • In "You've Got Hate Mail" Witch Hazel is seen covering Gossamer's eyes when she reads the e-mail that Daffy sent her. Does Daffy's e-mail contained swearing?!

Fridge Logic

  • According to the song "Moostache", Yosamite Sam never trims his mustache, yet he's shown to have trimmed it a bit in "You've Got Hate Mail" when he changes his ways.
  • Apparently, Greater Roadrunners' mating rituals include "circling their mate, bowing, cooing and flicking their tail" as well as chase them to be all over the place. Soo...does this mean that the Roadrunner has been trying to mate with Wile E. Coyote all along?
    • Seems pretty plausible. But how do you explain Roadrunner's Troll antics?
  • In "Sunday Night Slice", Porky ends up swearing off pepperoni, because that makes him a cannibal. However, in "Monster Talent", Porky is shown to still be eating pepperoni pizza, both when trying the frozen pizza for the first time, as well as when he's being filmed for the commercial.
    • Pepperoni can also be made from beef. Though it's not as common as the one made from both pork and beef.
