Fridge moments in The Child of Love:
- Gendo told that every Child had an only use in his scenario. Rei was supposed to give him the key to control Third Impact. Asuka had been training since she was three to become the best and so giving her existence a purpose and meaning... and the whole was nothing but breeding cattle. Also, if that was her use, what was Shinji's?
- It gets worse. Keep in mind what happened in canon: Touji, the Forth Child, was The Uriel against Bardiel. Asuka and Kaworu were used to psychologically manipulate Shinji. Gendo using Asuka as breeding cattle in this fic is another way for this manipulation. Which leads to this: Shinji was supposed to be the one to guide Gendo to Yui during Third Impact.
