- When Mateo's boyfriend Jeff climbs up a table and starts poaching employee's from Cloud 9 for Target, Mateo stage whispers to him, "What are you doing? You said you don't like these people." Later this episode, we learn Jeff doesn't work for Target and Mateo probably a) wanted to subtly remind him not to give out jobs he doesn't have, and b) deter his coworkers from quitting and following Jeff.
- In season 4, episode 14, Laurie immediately tells off Cheyenne and Garrett for using their phones, making them lock them up. Later this episode, Amy walks in on Laurie doing cocaine. Of course Laurie doesn't like phone-addicted workers - she doesn't want to get filmed accidentally or on purpose.
- One may think that Mateo's immigration status is something of an Aborted Arc at the end of the series. However, in his last scene, he and Eric are showing off their rings, meaning that Mateo married or is marrying an American citizen, by which he is getting the Citizenship Marriage that Jonah offered him at one point.
