Fridge Logic in Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Fridge Brilliance

  • While it may seems as an Early-Installment Weirdness design, Boris was first shown with red eyes. After waking up from a long slumber, his eyes turned white for the rest of the series. It makes sense that red eyes are likely a common symptom of sleep deprivation. Which meant that Boris, as an enemy foreign spy, hadn’t got a lot of sleep due to his profession.
  • In "Box Top Robbery" it seems out of character for Boris to preform a genuine Villainous Rescue attempt when he had no reason to do so. In the next episode his reason is made clear as the empty elevator shaft that Bullwinkle falls in was the hiding place for Boris' stash of Counterfeit Box-tops.
  • In “Metal-Munching Mice” story arc, Boris disguised himself as “The Big Cheese,” leader of the metal-munching moon mice. The big cheese is generally a slang term for an individual who holds a higher power or position amongst his or her group.
    • It is quite fitting that cheese is stereotypical food for a mouse’s diet as it's easily accessible.
    • Additionally, they were originated from the moon, alluded to an old myth that the moon is made out of cheese.
      • Of course, that where Mr. Big, the true BIG CHEESE of the scheme, resided during the arc.
  • During the "Wailing Whale" arc, Maybe Dick pass through the underwater city, cracking its dome and and flooding the city. While it initially seems unintentional, we eventually learned the titular whale is actually a pirate ship commanded by Boris Badenov. As a Card-Carrying Villain, it makes quite sense that Boris would steer his ship to purposefully flood the city and drown its inhabitants, including Rocky and Bullwinkle at that point, for villainous kicks.
  • Also, from the "Wailing Whale" arc, one might questioned how Boris managed to afford such materials to build the aforementioned whale-shaped pirate ship. If you recalled the end of the previous arc "The Last Angry Moose", that Boris and Natasha managed to steal Bullwinkle's money.
    • While they do have the money to afford the ship materials, why didn't they enough to afford a bomb at the near end of the arc? (At that point, Boris used a bowling ball as an improvised bomb.) Because they use some, or even the rest, of the money to adopt the 8-foot ape Rallo to assist them with their schemes. Adopting an ape would cost a huge amount of money. It is likely it wasn't enough to afford some, or even at least one, bombs after the adoption.
  • At the beginning of the story arc “Treasure of Monte Zoom,” Boris refers Monte Zoom as “the big racecar driver” who is “rich enough to bury a treasure at the bottom at lake.” This comment foreshadows the actual content inside the chest. When Bullwinkle unlocks the treasure chest, it reveals as a vintage car, the 1903 Apperson Jackrabbit.
    • At the end of the arc, it is revealed that the trunk is full of gold coins which it is most likely the prize money that the racecar driver won during his racing days.
