Fridge / Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight

Go To

Fridge Brilliance:

  • Many fans have pointed out the dancing in the game isn't quite on par with Persona 4: Dancing All Night. This seems disappointing, until you realize that the characters of Dancing All Night had been practicing for months with actual dance teachers, and the cast of Dancing in Starlight are doing it on a whim, with a few characters admitting they've never danced before. Of course they'd be bad at it!
  • One of Futaba's songs is Last Surprise (Taku Takahashi Remix). At a glance, this doesn't look significant. However, Taku Takahashi is DJ Taku, a producer from a Japanese hip-hop group called m-flo, which stands for "Meteorite Flow". They use a lot of space themes in their songs and albums (i.e. Astromantic, Beat Space Nine, Cosmicolor). Guess whose Persona also has not one, but two cosmic motifs?
  • Ren has his own unique dance style that’s a mix of free style, ballet type rhythm with high energy. However, when he's dancing with another person during a "Fever" moment, regardless of if he's the main dancer or just a partner, he'll usually adapt to whatever it is the second person is doing. This is reflective on how as a player character, Ren changes his tune around different people, and how he adapts himself to help his friends with their problems.
