• Fridge Logic: If they have white primer and red primer, but not enough of each to paint the entire sub, why mix them together and make pink primer? Just paint the hull red and the superstructure white, and it wouldn't look so ridiculous.
  • It gets mentioned that the total supply of primer is still twenty gallons short of what they need, and that the pink mixture is watered-down slightly to stretch it out. Plus Rule of Funny.
    • plus those are Imperial Japan colors. That may not be the smartest idea in the Pacific in late 41/early 42
