Fridge Brilliance

  • It's symbolic that the man who usurped the leadership of the Titans is from Jupiter.
  • One possibility why Kamille isn't affected by Scirroco's Mind Rape at the end of the movies is that Four died under different circumstances than in the series, sparing Kamille a significant part of his emotional turmoil. While Four's original death was her Taking the Bullet like Lalah's death in the original show, with Four dying in Kamille's arms, in the movies she died when her transport plane was shot down after helping Kamille get back into space. Even some the Super Robot Wars games can have Kamille spared if Four is recruited to the player's team.
  • Char proclaims to Haman that he's "never betrayed a person in his life." Except there's two ways to interpret this: one is that he's saying that from the experience of Quattro, which is technically true regardless of how long that actual "life" is. The other is Char being Char; each of his major betrayals were of people he never truly considered friends and allies (primarily the Zabi family that he swore total revenge against), so it's probable that he doesn't even consider it betraying people he intended to kill in the first place.
  • No one in the AEUG initially seems to recognize Quattro despite how prominent Char Aznable was in the One Year War, and it's not just the Paper-Thin Disguise doing it. Certain characters like Kamille cotton on early due to his piloting expertise and leadership capability just matching up far too well with everything he'd studied on the conflict, but everyone else that recognizes him actually met him personally or were directly involved in his pursuit of White Base. That leaves the rest of the AEUG to be surprised when Mineva outs him, and they didn't catch on mostly because they likely never cared nor knew much about Char in the first place; the best group of people to even bother with a false identity around would usually be those that can't tie it to the real you.

Fridge Horror

  • Kamille, on average, kills two people an episode.
  • The Titans kill count involves at least four separate colonies and their entire populations, including one Colony Drop and two fatal G3 Gas uses. While Zeon's "Operation British" still takes the cake for an obscene death toll (half of Earth's population died from the famines, disasters and overall aftermath), the Titans easily caused the most collateral damage for humanity as a whole in the Universal Century. And because the majority of it was all on Spacenoids, the Earth citizens likely didn't even care all that much until the Dakar incident.
  • One interpretation of Reccoa's Faceā€“Heel Turn is that it's thanks to Scirroco's Newtype abilities, which are notably rather strong. Which would explain why certain characters seem to follow him despite his exploitative ways: he's subtly making himself a Charm Person, gradually inflicting subtle amounts of More than Mind Control (or in Reccoa's case, a quiet yet extensive influence in their first real meeting) upon those he can affect, which seems to strictly be women. Nothing good can be considered of this idea of him.
