• In the short story "All the Troubles in the World", it is revealed that the enormous supercomputer Multivac is suicidal. In another story, "The Last Question", Multivac creates new forms for itself of increasing power and complexity until eventually, it becomes the God of the next universe. It's not surprising then that in the short story "The Last Answer", God is revealed to be suicidal.
