Fridge Brilliance

  • Why does it seem that Zim and co haven't aged or their world changed like Ben's or Danny's. Fairly simply, his story is still ongoing thanks to Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, meaning that it is impossible to really go five years later from canon. Canon is still going for Zim, unlike classic Ben and Danny. This means, similarly, that if Danny and Ben were to go travel to meet Rocko or Arnold they would probably be similarly unaltered by time, unlike what might be if they were to go meet up with Rex again or go meet up with the Powerpuff Girls classic or Coop.
    • There's also the fact that Irkens have been stated by Word of God to be a long-lived species (Zim himself being stated as being Older Than They Look), so it could be that by Irken standards, 5 years is more negligable to them than it would be to a human.
  • The 'And Beyond' Lore videos offer a subtle hint to why certain aliens would develop the features that they did in their Ultimate forms, which was later noted to be intentional in several post And Beyond segments.
    • Humungousaur's missile fingers would be perfect for detonating the interior organs of the Tyrannopedes, akin to what the Sky Skimmers do. Said missiles would also be very good for shooting said Sky Skimmers out of the sky.
    • Swampfire's wooden form resembles an elderly Methanosian, but much more mobile. The bombs he can create are very akin to the Xolbrine, but better.
    • The robotic state of Echo Echo resembles fellow Sonorosian species the Sanavox. Echo Echo's status as one of Ben's most dangerous aliens as an Ultimate may also relate to the fact the creators of the Sonorosians were weapons builders (the Techadon Weapons Masters in fact) and are in the end the result of the Sonorosians going from a servant race to that of a living weapon.
    • The Eter' Caneic, the original inhabitants of Big Chill's home planet, had a color scheme similar to the Ultimate form of Big Chill. Some residual genetics of the species may have surfaced during the evolution process.
    • In one of the 'Drawing Matrix' videos, an Ultimate Form of Jetray was theorised and created. Come the And Beyond episode for Aeropela, we see that the evolution of Ultimate Jetray could be viewed as a result of countering the Leviicteans. A larger size would help prevent them from being overpowered physically and the neuroshocks becoming wider waves would help disperse their vapor clouds.
  • The idea of ghosts becoming stronger with age is actually supported by canon if you recall Desiree: being old enough to have been a sultan's harem girl means she is older than most other spirits shown canonically (Lunch Lady, Pointdexter, Ember, and Box Ghost, for example, seem to be from the 19th or 20th century, no earlier), and the sheer power of her wish-granting is certainly approaching a level one could call godhood (she created new ghosts who did, in fact, show up later), and one could make the argument her requirement to grant any wish she hears, even if it would be detrimental to her, a form of madness.
  • While not pointed out directly in story, the Irkens are very similar in roles to the Incurseans: being green conquerors whose Omnitrix counterpart is a larger, more healthy specimen of their species. They also have a similar level of...competency at times.
  • Five Years Later is dedicated to series that were Screwed by the Network. This is clear with Ben and Danny and Zim (to a point that Zim's role was reduced when Enter the Florpus was made). This trend continues with 'Future Fenton's team'
    • Dib, Sam, and Tucker are covered by the above.
    • Generator Rex had his last season's final half get screwed up.
    • Jenny Wakeman's final series didn't release until years later and was just sat on.
    • Zak Saturday's was constantly moved around and was never given reruns.
    • Nigel Uno doesn't seem quite fitting first, given that the show he hails from was highly respected by the network even to this day. Then you realize that Nigel's design is from the passed over Galactic Kids Next Door concept.
    • The Kim Possible cast buck this trend as not only was the show popular and respected by Disney to an unprecedented level (it broke the episode cap Disney Channel shows usually had for one thing). However the often referenced line of 'nothing is impossible for a Possible' comes into play as one recalls all the times that the network did try to meddle in the show, only to have it Gone Horribly Right (such as demanding an animal sidekick and getting a Naked Mole Rat requiring the show to constantly say Naked Mole Rat). The Possible cast essentially beat the networks.
    • While Code Lyoko was treated well on Cartoon Network, the last 7 episodes didn't even air on Cartoon Network.
    • The Owl House ended at season 3 as it was "Too costly and Mature" for Disney Channel.
  • While in general being evil counterparts to what Superman represents (living in a 'Metropolis', using yellow-sun based powers to rule over those without them, etc etc) there is in fact a means in which the Kryptonians are evil counterparts to Clark Kent. In farming the native species of Krypton the Kryptonians use the unethical farming practices (like animal cruelty and overfeeding for produce purposes) that the Kents are never shown doing on their own idealistic farm.
  • As a Andromeda species the Dragons shouldn't have been in the Omnnitrix but Ben was able to interact with one in Alien Force without triggering the scan feature. The answer to that is simple: the Dragons travel so often to get map data that the original Omnitrix DNA run was able to get a sample of them.
  • Dr. Gero isn't wrong about the Saiyans of Ben's universe not ''really'' being the ones he is looking for. They are notably different. He's just wrong he couldn't learn something valuable from them.
    • The fact that Zero, even with a different name, had noticed a Golden Super Mode equiv meant he was never going to successfully warn Gero. Gero was arrogant enough to believe Goku would not improve after a certain point, and he was too arrogant to let Gero at least give him the information before blowing the robot up.
  • And Beyond offers an explanation for why Humungousaur stopped growing in size after a bit into Ultimate Alien: Ben at the time likely deemed the intelligence trade off as being too much of a hinderance and only later, with more experimenting and practice, did he decide to put it back into use.
  • One might ponder what explanation there is for the lack of non Ben 10 original aliens in the canon part of the series (original to Omniverse). The placement of the planets Vegeta, Krypton, and Tonrom in the Andromeda System are all fairly simple but effective explanations: inter-galactic contact was not unheard of but much more limited than contact within a galaxy. This is particularly the case for the isolationist Krypton but even the outgoing residents of Vegeta have a lot of space between them and Earth. In addition it also notably isolates Ki usage to another galaxy, suggesting a possible argument that Ki manipulation is predominant in Andromeda while magic and mana are more common to the Milky Way.
  • Corrodium being known to Max, and by extension the rest of the galaxy, likely is a result of the one species in the Anur system that both had it in abundance and traded beyond the system in it. The rest of the galaxy likely knew of its potential and its risk, and thus told Max, due to past dealing with Thep Khufan merchants.
  • "He's much more unique than the other guy": a lyric from the Danny Phantom theme song that usually just is about humiliating Dash. Here it is actually a potentially, if not already, relevant fact. There is only one Ghost Zone accessible by only one universe. Outside of time travel related hiccups there is only one Danny Phantom. There are so many Omnitrix users that Eon can collect them like action figures, even a Ben Tennyson on the Danny Phantom earth, but only one place to find halfas.
  • The Powerhouse Playlist is frequently discussed in terms of raw power, which in turn leads to debate on why other very strong aliens (like Feedback and Gravatack) aren't on it another perspective may be less raw power and rather raw destructive power. In ascending order of the playlist
    • Atomix is frequently debated as to if he deserves his Wyatt-toted second strongest alien tiering, but his powers are based on atomic energy on an extensive degree, to a point he can create temporary stars. That sort of radiation could cause a lot of damage.
    • Way Big is already hard to use because of his sheer size, but his cosmic storm powers are being more focused on here than in the canon series. There is little way to use Way Big other than to squash and smash.
    • Soarnitho is a bit less obviously dangerous, being more a raw mana source. However raw mana's been shown to give life to inanimate objects and a reckless use of Soarnitho could very well animate a city. The And Beyond episode that features Soarnitho's original source also reveals that the source of Soarnitho, Caladrin, is a guardian of Ledgerdomain whose kin includes Dagon. Given that Dagon defeated Ultimate Way Big, it isn't hard to see why Soarnitho ranks above regular Way Big if the two are at all related.
    • Monki is notably on the playlist while Word of God suggests that a Kryptonian form would not be. While poking that question is controversial the fact that Monki's powers are much more suited for blast attacks that can cause massive collateral damage than the more controlled laser or breath attacks of a Kryptonian form. Being based on Ki/Mana may also make the form much more easy to accidentally supercharge.
      • At this point we notably leave forms that can cause structural damage to those that can cause reality-based damage.
    • Buckwild can create universe destroying time crashes if used recklessly, while Portaler can create tears in space that can likely cause similar space-based damage with an added chance of letting in Cthulthu. Buckwild is also from a species who naturally evolved into a species similar to Professor Paradox, making him essentially a lesser Paradox whose species can naturally do things like close space-time tears and affect an entire planetary system's structure.
    • Next, we have Full Stop and The Void. The Void creates anti-matter that can distort matter around himself, and is absolutely HUMUNGOUS (being 50 feet tall), which would make him hard to use safely. Both because his size makes his usage have a similar issue as Way Big (Ben will likely just end up crushing everything on accident) and because the antimatter could easily tear space apart while his very appearance will cause people to lose their minds in fear. Full Stop, on the other hand, has the power to hold things in place permanently and absolutely, and given that this involves dimensional tampering, it could easily go wrong if Ben’s not careful.
    • Finally are the canonical Clockwork and Alien X, whose warping powers and how they could break reality if misused are self-explanatory.
  • Ben's Necrofriggian children are more social due to their human influence, but there is another possible source for this: the Omnitrix itself. Big Chill is the perfect Necrofriggian and can tolerate people, and his children inherited this trait. This trait allowed them to fully survive where most siblings suffer severe causalities. This adaption will spread with their children and enhance their survivability as the ones who don't inherit this are more likely to die. Ben may induce evolution in the species into a more social group that can better deal with predators and attacks.
  • Episode 5 has a lack of information on the species that other episodes generally had. However it is also run by a different host who is meant for a more targeted task than Horas. Zero doesn't care where the Kryptonians came from the way Horas would.

Fridge Horror

  • With the Beyond video for the Ghost Zone, every defeat and return of a ghost to the ghost zone becomes this. The longer a ghost is in there, the more powerful, and less sane, they become. So each time that Danny or anyone else sends one back, they'd come back a little bit stronger, and a little bit less sane, and as a result a little bit more dangerous.
  • The Kryptonians are basically avoiding their canonical fate with technology, but technology can act up. The fact they are building robots with the Brainiac symbol is a giant warning flag. While no one will really mind seeing them all die to their own creations eventually this Krypton is not likely to send their last son to Earth and thus deny a final noble legacy for their kind.

Fridge Logic

  • If the Ben 10 reboot is an actual cartoon in the Ben 10 universe, why did Ben agree to voice Vilgax? Didn't he have problems with his worst enemy?
    • He's not against mocking the people he doesn't like, and what better way than playing him? Could be considered therapeutic.
  • If the Ganic Lagorge are non-sentient natives of Anur Millgan that are important to the Millit Laggish lifecycle, than why was one found in the middle of a lake in the United States?
    • Perhaps it was taken from the planet due to animal trafficking much like the Psycholopterran in Omniverse, and simply escaped into that lake on Earth.
