Fridge pages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.Fridge Brilliance

  • It took this troper seven years to get it, but here's what the title means: "El Cazador de la Bruja" doesn't mean "The Hunter of the Witch", as in Witch Hunt. It means "a hunter for the witch", as in "the witch and her [bounty] hunter"—which is pretty much what Ellis and Nadie are. As for why such an awkward wording was chosen, as well as why a masculine term is used instead of feminine "la cazadora"... well, just blame it on Gratuitous Spanish and on the fact that Japanese language has no grammatical gender.
  • L.A.: Fridge Brilliance implies that since L.A. is a Code Name, "Ellis" is actually an acronym for "L.S."

Fridge Horror

  • If "Ellis" is an acronym, what happened to L.B. through L.R.? Either non-viable or "eliminated" when the program was closed down
  • The photo of the other experimental children the girls find at the lab — L.A. and Ellis are probably the only survivors.
    • L.A. actually confirms it in the same episode, that he and Ellis are the only ones left alive.
