When first introduced, the Cheermazons are very gung-ho about killing all males as revenge for thousands of years of institutionalized sexism. What they plan to do after all the men are dead is not addressed. By the end of the first season, they seem to have mellowed somewhat, allowing Josh into their camp (albeit shortly after they were attacked by the Jocks under Baron Triumph, so they're still reeling) and allying with him to end Triumph's scheme. The change of heart seems sudden and unexplained. . . but maybe one of the Cheermazons actually asked what the plan was once there were only women left in the apocalypse. Or, since they were threatening Wesley with Angelica present, and they're later demonstrated to be overfond of Secret Tests of Character, Demi was seeing if Angelica might be a worthy recruit. She does immediately offer Angelica to come and pledge the Cheermazons after Angelica puts her life on the line to stop them from killing Wesley.
The reason they changed their tune so quickly is because they had just been attacked by a blockbusting missile which killed many of their members, and then had their newest members abducted by superhuman tyrant and his army of jock-thralls. Until that point, the Cheermazons were absolutely confident, believing that without male influence, they were untouchable. Baron Triumph's assault made it clear that they were not. Now feeling far more vulnerable, they were willing to accept any help they could. Also, they wanted revenge for the assault, and they decided to go with someone who already had a plan of attack ready.
It probably also was due to the fact that Josh approached Victoria, the Cheermazon who made the decision to help, using her native ASL. She had just lost Veronica, the only other person she knew with whom she could sign, so the revelation that there was someone else she could communicate with in her own language may have helped convince her.
While innocent, the Traitor of the Mall Attack may have spoken his guilt during the trial by complete accident. He mentioned he "Pulled a Hammy". The Traitors main in Overwatch was Wrecking Ball. Wrecking Balls real name? Hammond. He truly did pull a Hammy.
