In the Bad Future, there is no crank at the base of the rooftop flagpole, necessitating Bernard to steal the flagpole’s crank from his own time period and send it to Laverne so she can use it to bring the flag within reach. Why was there no crank there? …Probably because Bernard stole it 200 years earlier.
There’s a portrait in Dr. Fred’s office. Bernard initially mistakes it for Dr. Fred himself, wearing a wig. But once Hoagie explores the mansion in the past, we discover the painting is most likely of the doctor’s ancestor, Red Edison, who looks exactly like Dr. Fred in a powdered wig.
All three time periods of the game involve conventions. Hoagie is sent to the Constitutional Convention in the 1700s, while Laverne is forced to take part in a twisted "human show" where tentacle attendees show off the humans they’ve tamed. Meanwhile, Bernard returns to the Mansion while a prankster convention is in progress.
