• When they were first formed, the Backstreet Boys were described as combining the look of New Kids on the Block with the sound of Boyz II Men. The latter part makes all the more sense when you keep in mind that, while they're mostly known for singing love songs, their respective first singles—"We've Got It Goin' On" for BSB and "Motownphilly" for Boyz II Men—are quite similar in both sound and lyrical content.
