Arthur is a children's franchise about a young Funny Animal aardvark named Arthur Read. The series began with the 1976 book Arthur's Nose but was eventually expanded into a series of children's books. It became a multimedia franchise with a series of "animated book" computer games and later a long-running cartoon.
