Count' em. Did you see ten Ultras, or eleven?

Ultraman Ginga S The Movie: Showdown! The 10 Ultra Warriors! is a 2015 tokatsu film, the Big Damn Movie of Ultraman Ginga, featuring Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Victory, as well as Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Cosmos in supporting roles.

A year have passed since the defeat of Dark Lugiel, and the protectors of this universe, Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Victory, are enjoying life to the fullest... until a new enemy with space-time manipulation powers attacks. Enter Etelgar, a Super Space-time Demon who can travel through dimensions, and whom had enslaved various Ultramen from other parallel worlds - including Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna, Ultraman Gaia, Ultraman Max, Ultraman Nexus, Ultraman Mebius, and his latest addition, Ultraman Cosmos - to add to his collection, with Ginga and Victory being his latest targets.

But not all hope is lost. During the demon's last battle, his most recent victim, Ultraman Cosmos, managed to separate himself with his host, Musashi Haruno, who managed to warn Ginga and Victory of this impending threat. And with the arrival of Ultraman Zero, now the three Ultras (and Musashi the one Ultra-host stripped of his powers) and the UPG Defense Forces must try to infiltrate Etelgar's fortress, release the trapped Ultramen, and confront the demon in an epic showdown. But Etelgar's fortress feeds on emotions, and can summon the greatest fears of anyone who attempts to approach it...

Ultraman Ginga S The Movie: Showdown! The 10 Ultra Warriors! provides examples of the following tropes:

  • All Your Powers Combined:
    • Etelgar is finally defeated when Ultraman Ginga-Victory sics the powers of ALL Ultramen accumulated in them into a single, insanely powerful energy beam that disintegrates the demon.
    • Following that, we have the remaining eight Ultras unleashing their respective Golden Super Mode and combining their energy beams to wipe out what remains of Etelgar's fortress.
  • Big Bad: Etelgar, quite literally too, given how he towers over the Ultras.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Musashi to Hikaru and Shou, junior Ultras compared to the older and more experienced Ultraman Cosmos.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: When the UPG attempts to enter Etelgar's fortress, Sakuya's fears manifests itself in the form of gigantic, elephant-sized stag beetles.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Princess Arina, now an unwitting pawn of Etelgar.
  • Chained Heat: Hikaru and Shou's training involves both of them being handcuffed to each other while learning to climb, fight, run, all as one.
  • Chinese Vampire: Arisa Sugita's worst fears. Naturally she ends up facing a horde of these summoned by Etelgar's fortress.
  • The Collector: Etelgar, who wants to collect Ultramen and seeks to add Ginga, Victory and Zero to his collection.
  • Crossover: Ultraman Ginga, with all previous shows since Ultraman Tiga.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Ultraman Cosmos doesn't stand a single slight chance against Etelgar in the Action Prologue, and barely manage to allow his human host to escape before getting captured himself.
    • It is implied Etelgar does this to the other 6 Ultramen (from Tiga to Mebius) prior to the movie's opening scene, given how he is The Dreaded.
    • In the climax, the revived Dark Lugiel gets wiped out by Ultraman Ginga-Victory in less than ten seconds.
  • Face Your Fears: The treatment subjected to anyone who tries entering Etelgar's fortress uninvited.
  • Fake Memories: How Etelgar managed to keep Princess Arina in control, by implanting memories of her hometown being destroyed by Ultramen.
  • Fusion Dance: By completing Ultraman Zero's training and learning to move, act and fight as one, eventually Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Victory are able to unleash their most powerful form thus far, the fusion warrior known as Ultraman Ginga-Victory.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: The battle between Ultraman Max and Alien Sran ends with Sran getting bisected vertically by the Max Galaxy Sword.
  • Heel–Face Brainwashing: Inverted, Princess Arina is against the Ultramen after her mind is completely taken over by Etelgar.
  • Henshin Hero: For Ginga, Victory and Cosmos. Averted for the other Ultras, because their human hosts/forms are actually absent this time.
  • I Know What You Fear: The basic MO of Etelgar, summoning copies of a persons' greatest fears for them to face. This applies even for the Ultramen. As seen in the climax...
    • Ultraman Tiga: Melba, Fire Golza
    • Ultraman Dyna: Fire Golza, Reigubas
    • Ultraman Gaia: Gan-Q, Super COV
    • Ultraman Nexus: Dark Mephisto
    • Ultraman Max: Alien Sran
    • Ultraman Mebius: Alien Empera
    • Ultraman Zero: Ultraman Belial
  • It's All Upstairs From Here: The final confrontation between the ten Ultra Brothers and Etelgar, in the demon's floating fortress where each level contains a duplicate of an Ultra's greatest fear, necessitating said Ultra to stay behind and do battle.
  • Kaiju
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Etelgar defeating the first six Ultramen before Cosmos. Including Ultraman Noa, the God-like form of Ultraman Nexus. How he managed to do so is still unknown.
  • Ominous Floating Castle: Etelgar's fortress, where the demon awaits on its very top level.
  • Power Glows: This being part of the Ultra Series, it's a given. The last few minutes of the film had the eight supporting Ultras emitting a powerful, golden aura as they unleash their energy beams to completely destroy Etelgar's fortress.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: Etelgar dons an magnificent red one, but it's gone after the demon receives an energy blast to the face from Ultraman Zero.
  • Shout-Out: Etelgar's flying fortress resembles Aincrad.
  • Skull for a Head: Etelgar's true face resembles a skull, which is revealed when Zero blasts his mask off.
  • Storming the Castle: The Final Battle involves the united strength of all ten Ultramen making their way to the top of Etelgar's fortress. Its easier said than done, because each level has a foe which serves as an Ultra's greatest fears that they will need to overcome.
  • Summon Magic: How Etelgar summon copies of each Ultra's greatest fears.
  • Team Power Walk: One right before the final confrontation, where ALL the Ultras marched their way towards Etelgar's fortress. The camera helpfully zooms in to each and every single one of them as they walk by.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Ultraman Zero eventually defeats Belial, by blasting him onto the ceiling, using his Miracle Zero Sluggers to slice Belial up, dropping Belial to the ground like a rock and finally unleashing his Golden Super Mode and blasting Belial through several layers of solid ground.
  • Torso with a View: When the Dark Lugiel Eteldummy grows himself to the size of a small mountain, Ultraman Ginga-Victory effortlessly punches a hole through his chest.
  • Training from Hell: What Zero subjects Hikaru Raido and Shou in order to teach them how to think and fight as one.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: A reoccurring theme; Etelgar's fortress can create copies of a person's greatest fears and will sic these on anyone who attempts to infiltrate.
