Tropes for the film:

  • Big Applesauce: Takes place in New York City.
  • False Confession: A whole crowd of people show up to confess that they are the titular artist, including Jimmy Lynch (who really is Turk 182). It is, in fact, Jimmy's disgust and derision at the false confessors that convinces a TV reporter that he is, in fact, actually Turk.
  • Graffiti of the Resistance: Jimmy writes "Zimmerman Flew, Tyler Knew" plus his name all over town, in order to stir up trouble because Terry, a firefighter, got injured while assisting with a fire rescue while he was intoxicated and the department won't cover his medical bills. (He had been off-duty, but rushed to help anyway when he heard about a fire nearby). Zimmerman was a Public Works Commissioner who had fled the city for an unspecified crime, an dit is believed that Mayor Tyler knew about his crimes. Zimmerman doesn't actually have anything to do with Turk's grievance; it was already a graffiti meme when he started.
  • Heroic Fire Rescue: Terry, an off-duty fireman, goes into a burning building and rescues a little girl; he gets injured, but since he had alcohol in his system the city refuses to pay for his medical expenses. Jimmy goes on a Roaring Rampage of... uncivil disobedience.
  • Tagline: "Mystery rebel has millions cheering!".
