The Master is a 1980 Shaw Brothers martial arts film starring Chen Kuan-tai and Yuen Tak.

Yuen Tak plays Kao Chien, a frequently-bullied martial arts student who, by chance, saves a kung fu Master, Jin Tien-yun. Through a combination of blackmail and favour, Master Jin decides to teach Kao Chien his skills.

Not to be confused with the 2012 film, The Master.
