"You can't touch me, I can touch you."
— Mr. Gruber
A sequel to 976-EVIL from 1991, directed by Jim Wynorski (Deathstalker II: Duel of the Titans, The Return of Swamp Thing, Ghoulies IV).
Spike from the previous film runs into a Serial Killer who is getting satanic powers from the 976-EVIL phone line, and tries to stop him.
This sequel has examples of:
- 900 Number: The titular 976-EVIL.
- Astral Projection:
- Mr. Grubeck uses his One Phone Call in jail and receives the ability to leave his body from the evil phone line to keep causing mayhem from behind the bars.
- Spike also gets hold on this ability when he is blown up Grubeck, which enables him to physically/astrally harm him.
- Big Bad: Grubeck, who got his supernatural powers from the evil phone line.
- Downer Ending: While Grubeck is defeated, Spike died in the effort and Robin is taken in by the cops for being suspected in killings done by Grubeck.
- The End... Or Is It?: The film ends with a shot of a ringing phone, a sinister reminder that the evil phone line still exists.
- Everything's Deader with Zombies: The film shows what It's a Wonderful Life with zombies might be.
- Greater-Scope Villain: The 976-EVIL phone number, like the previous film. It grants powers to the Big Bad, and sees no stopping.
- Shower Scene: The film opens with a character going on a swim in a pool, and taking a gratuitous nude shower scene afterwards.
- Title by Number: With more numbers by the addition of the trope Numbered Sequels.
- Trapped in TV Land: One character dies when she is caught inside television between two channels showing Night of the Living Dead (1968) and It's a Wonderful Life, and zombified little girl from the former stabs her.
