Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations is a movie war crossover between Kamen Rider Revice and Kamen Rider Saber, as well as a 50th anniversary movie for the Kamen Rider franchise overall.
Kamen Rider Century came from the year 2071, an era when humans were dominated by demons. He arrives in the present and fights our heroes. A mysterious time-displaced scientist from the past is in the present and is now trying to reconcile with his now elderly son. Why do the Kamen Riders fight? Who will he fight for? Set in 2021, a 100-year-old epic begins now!
The film released on December 17, 2021.
This film has examples of:
- Actor Allusion: The past Takeshi Hongo in this movie is played, not by Hiroshi Fujioka, but his son Maito Fujioka.
- All There in the Manual: A tie-in novel was released with the Blu-Ray disc, revealing that the Neo Batta Vistamp is in fact the final legacy of There in the Bad Future through a still-functioning Is, who helped George make the stamp.
- All Your Powers Combined: Ikki, Touma and their allies use the powers of various past Kamen Riders to battle against the Devil Rider Corps.
- Bad Future: The year 2071 has been ransacked by demons in the timeline this movie takes place.
- Hijacked by Ganon: Appropriately for Kamen Rider's 50th anniversary, Shocker are involved in the plot. It's Played With though in that while Shocker has a presence in the movie, Diablo and the Crispers are the main driving threat.
- Historical Domain Crossover: The Crisper demons are each created from the genetics of famous historical figures - Queen Himiko of Japan, Pharaoh Khufu of Egypt, Thomas Edison and King Leonidas of Sparta.
- Legion of Doom: Various past evil Kamen Riders are revived as demons to battle against the Saber and Revice Riders.
- Mental Time Travel: Ryunosuke Momose's consciousness is sent back to the past in order to prevent the apocalyptic future, with his comatose and vulnerable body having to be protected back in said future.
- Non-Serial Movie: Averted once more. Beyond Generations is canon to Revice, taking place near the end of the first arc, and its events are referenced in episode 22.
- Set Right What Once Went Wrong: George's future self sends Ryunosuke with the Cyclotron Driver back to 2021, in order to prevent the Bad Future from happening.
