Being Dead Is Easy. Getting Married Is The Real Killer.
Trailer

A Little Bit Zombie is a Canadian Zombie Horror Comedy movie by Casey Walker.

Steve (Kristopher Turner) is a guy who's due to get married to his girlfriend Tina (Crystal Lowe) soon. However, before the big day, he, Tina, his friend Craig (Shawn Roberts) and his sister Sarah (Kristen Hager) decide to spend time at their family's cabin. While there, Steve is bitten by a strangely stubbornly-refusing-to-die mosquito. Soon after, he starts feeling strange. His skin is paler, he has strange craving for brains, and parts of his body keep rotting off.

It soon becomes apparent that Steve is turning into a zombie, and the effects are soon apparent. Tina becomes desperate to ensure Steve's new state doesn't ruin her marriage, and Steve is trying all he can to not give into his newfound zombie instincts and eat brains. If that weren't enough, there's also the scientist Penelope Pendleton (Emilie Ullerup) trying out to find out why he hasn't completely turned yet, and her Trigger-Happy redneck compatriot Max (Stephen McHattie), who just wants to blow his brains out.

The film was released on February 4th, 2012.

A Little Bit Zombie contains examples of:

  • Boom, Headshot!: Penelope kills Max by blowing a massive hole in his head. Tina kills Penelope in the same manner.
  • Creative Closing Credits: The credits are played over a photo montage of Steve and Tina's wedding, showing the vows, the wedding reception, and Tina taking Steve into a closet to touch up his make up.
  • Downer Ending:Penelope is killed by Tina before she even has a chance to develop a cure for Steve, all because she put being married to Steve and having her perfectly planned wedding above his being unzombified.
  • Dream Sequence: After Steve is bitten by the mosquito, he turns in for the night, and has a dream involving a 50s-style kitchen where people are serving him "Raisin Brain" and unsubtly suggesting that he start eating brains.
  • Raising the Steaks: Steve's zombification starts from being bitten by an undead mosquito.
