Authors and Websites

Haberdasher

  • Recommended by Kthecloud, lalalei2001
  • Haberdasher makes many works for TPP on archiveofourown and fanfiction.net for TPP. Not the only ones, but certainly the most consistent and covering the most protagonists from Red to D.

The Life and Wiles of Brendan T. Birch by Everyle

  • Recommended by: ZetsuTheFirst, lalalei2001
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: An iconic comic of early TPP, The Life and Wiles of Brendan T. Birch was a comedic, often-dramatic series covering the interactions between Brendan and A in the Emerald and post-Emerald period. One of the first series to give central focus to human characters outside of the hosts, the comic is known for its complex character development, humour, and skilled storytelling.
  • Medium: Comic.

Ask-TwitchPKMN by Pioxys

  • Recommended by: SpiriTsunami
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: A semi-interactive (think MS Paint Adventures before it started getting complicated) webcomic in which anons ask questions of iconic Twitch Plays Pokémon Pokémon, which are answered in comic form. Season 2 is a bit more story-driven, with the ask box occasionally closing completely. Due to its length, it's a primary source of characterization for a lot of Season 1 Pokémon.
  • Medium: Comic
  • Additional recommender's notes: As someone who didn't join the mob until very late in Season 1, it was a bit disorienting Archive Binging this from the start and seeing Solareon and the False Prophet treated as one and the same when it's now common knowledge that they don't even share a gender. Pioxys gets mad props for how he handled this discrepancy without having to declare earlier comics non-canon.

Twitch Plays Pokemon: Battle Royale by ZetsuTheFirst

  • Recommended by: lalalei2001
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A collected version of the Battle Royale stories, where 64 TPP characters were in a popularity contest/free-for-all battle that could boast only one winner.
