Proof that the remaining 10% is worth getting the crab cage for here:

These are recommendations made by tropers for The Boondocks, all of which have been signed. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be zapped. Nobody would back up the rec. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.

Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexual or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

The Boondocks: Halloween Night by residentkilla

  • Recommended by: AHI-3000
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A short story about the kids going trick-or-treating on Halloween.
  • Comments: It's a humorous tale that wouldn't be too out of place in the TV series.

Facebookin' by Lovin' Huey Freeman

  • Recommended by Nexus
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: What would happen if Huey were convinced to join the Facebook community? Conspiracy, murder, statuses, photos, and friend requests... Why did he ever agree to this...?
  • Comments: Very hilarious, and the author emulates McGruder's comedic and satirical style quite well.

The Death of Robert Freeman by chinuarose

  • Recommended by datyanderegirl
  • Status: In Progress
  • Synopsis: Based after the events of The Boondocks Season 3 (The creator, Aaron McGruder's, last period of involvement), our enigmatic protagonists, Huey and Riley, experience yet another tragic death in their unfortunate childhood, that being their grandfather and guardian, Robert Freeman. The brothers are no strangers to loss; the whole reason they moved to Woodcrest to begin with was their parents' accident after all. Now that Grandad's gone, Huey's now the one that has to try to keep Riley from spiraling into self-destruction, but even with Huey's immense intellect, this may prove to be a fool's errand that only makes things worse. Will Huey be able to keep Riley from falling into a pattern of serious immorality or will all this responsibility be too much for him? Come along on a journey through our protagonists' rough and eventful lives starting from childhood (2013, four years after 2009, when season 3 aired) to early adulthood set in the present day (Late 2023 at the time of this writing).
  • Comments: This is a very good read and to me the author is staying true to the characters as we know them. There are some plot twists along the way, and it brings back some characters we've not seen or heard from in a while in the show's canon. Do note it ignores season 4. Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

The Life and Times Of Wuncler High School and The Sequel by TRIGGER MIKE THE GREAT

  • Recommended by Nexus
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairings: Huey/Jazmine, Caesar/Cindy, Riley/OC
  • Synopsis: As you can probably tell from the title, it's a Time Skip fic with Huey as a high school senior, where he has to deal with racist teachers, preppy gangsters, and later on more dangerous opponents.
  • Comments: If you're into a lot of action, you may want to check this out. Be warned, however, that there is a prominent original character that is very easy to dislike.

Morgan Freeman's Blessings on this Beautiful Hood! by The Grand Coginator

  • Recommended by ultimomant
  • Crossover with: KonoSuba
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: When Huey and Riley die, Aqua and Eris give them a choice to go to paradise or be reincarnated. They choose reincarnation and are sent to the fantasy world of KonoSuba, even though they have zero knowledge of Isekai stories or RPGs. Aqua's boss punishes her for her laziness by forcing her to join them.
  • Comments: This is a commentary on Isekais told through the lenses of two African Americans. Later, characters from several other shows pop up.
