These are recommendations made by Tropers for Pokémon Crossover fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here.

You can also add to the current recommendations if you want. Refrain from posting Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist if need be.

Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexually explicit or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

The Legend of Eevee: Pokeflute of Time by that one little guy.

• Synopsis: Take The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Make everyone Pokemon characters. Make Link a brain-dead Pichu, Navi a bad-tempered Togetic who does most of the killing for him, and everyone else completely nuts. Stir at your reading speed and enjoy.
• Comments: Pure comedy from start to finish. Rapidly lampshades some of the ridiculousness of Zelda games. Occasional Dungeon Bypass by blowing up everything in sight.

• Synopsis: Chloe Cerise had enough of everyone telling her to have a job with Pokémon, of Goh ignoring her and focusing on Mew, his captures and Ash, of her father only caring for research and his "research fellows", and of Ash for being a black hole to suck everything in. When she decides to run away from home, she decides to take the first train out of Vermilion City... and into another world filled with endless possibilities and a green number on her right hand.

• Notes: I would have never thought of a Pokémon character as a candidate for the train, but the author makes a good case for Chloe fitting the profile this otherworldly locomotive looks for. The fic happened to start just before Episode 29 aired, so it takes a different direction with Chloe's character development even beyond the "an Eldritch Location kidnaps her and forces her to deal with her insecurities if she wants to leave" thing.

Intelligence Factor: A Survery of Pokérin's Sapient Species by GMBlackjack

• Synopsis: Dr. Julian Bashir's scientific report about his research into the intelligence of various Pokémon species.
• Comments: By far the best take on civilised Pokémon I've ever seen. They're not all humans in fursuits like in Mystery Dungeon, nor are they uniformly morally superior to all other sapient beings like in certain other fanfics, but instead each species has its own set of values that inform its cultures. It also barely requires any knowledge of Star Trek to understand.

• Synopsis: Arceus has been imprisoned for many millennia, and in that time he has watched his world fall apart. But once he is finally freed from his prison he decides that to protect his Pokémon, and his family, that he will move the Pokémon, and a few select 'humans' to a world where they might live in peace, Equestria. However, not everyone on this new world shares his view of peace and the very presence of the Pokémon upsests some of the citizens of the world, even some of the ones he brought with aren't too happy with the situation. But a god's will is a strong thing and without his willingness the Pokémon and the citizens of Equestria are going to have to learn to get along, or at least tolerate each other. And there's a slight problem with some of the humans too, well, former humans that is.

• Comments: An enjoyable story made even more interesting with touches of concepts like Interspecies Romance, and the general chaos that is inadvertadely caused by a god who has a bad habit of not thinking things through, as well as the trials both worlds face as they try to learn to co-exist.

• Comments: A fun retelling of Beast Wars with the cast of the Pokemon anime thrown into the mix. The characterization is spot-on and the way the two series intertwine is just wonderful.

• Synopsis: One day, Mahmoud Schahed finds himself on the outskirts of Metropolis with a bag, a flute, and six. He knows he's in a DC Comics universe, but has somehow forgotten which one, and the important details thereof. One foiled bank robbery and a session with the Lasso of Truth later, he finds himself taking the name of Trainer Red, and assigned to the Team with Aqualad, Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy, and Miss Martian. As such, this story is about the Self-Insert and his Pokemon, characters in their own right, becoming heroes in the Young Justice universe.

After all, these people don't carry weapons, and seem to spend all their time training their cute little animal friends. And it's not like having a stable of adorable animals is going to protect them from DID THAT LIZARD JUST BREATHE FIRE?!
• Comments: Seamlessly combines the world of RWBY with Pokemon, all while adding numerous awesome, heartwarming, and hilarious moments.

• Comments: Unlike a ton of fanfics of this type, it actually manages to be genuinely funny, despite its sometimes pretty vulgar sense of humor. It only got better in later seasons.

Not one to back down, Louise vows to prove herself worthy... and is given one year in the Pokémon world to do so.

• Comments: This fanfic has been quite an interesting take as, while it focuses on the anime timeline, it has incorporated elements from the different media used for the franchise. It takes its time to make sure each character is as in-character as possible outside of one or two exceptions for the sake of the story development. To those that felt the adventure through Kanto was unique amongst the other series, this fic manages to make it all the more interesting to follow by incorporating all the other generations of the franchise into it and make the world far larger than expected.

• Synopsis: Two worlds meant to be kept apart were brought together as one, and a life torn apart in the process. Wanting to put a stop to abuse done to Pokemon by abusive trainers, a secret meeting is held by the Elite Four with Datamon. A deal is made to help them in exchange for letting him and his cohorts take over the Pokemon world. They cross over and the Digimon put their world into martial law. Pokemon Training is outlawed and battles are forbidden. Only the officials are allowed to train them. The story then follows a guy who signs up and works under a fun, eccentric man in the military. He gets assigned a Shellder and they work together to solve the strange mysteries around their workplace, which results with them getting into some big trouble.

• Comments: You might be wondering what this has to do with Pokemon, but if you read through it, you'll notice several hints towards a connection with the Pokemon universe and theirs, obviously meaning they're going to do something with it. That aside, the story is quite good, progressively getting better as it goes on.

Fist of the Pikachu by Hung Nguyen

• Crossover with: Ranma ½
• Synopsis: Due to a technological accident in the Pokémon world, and a botched spell, Ranma Saotome gets pulled out of his own world shortly after separating from his father after receiving his curse. A fateful meeting with a strange electric rodent leads him to explore this new world and live adventures as he never imagined before...
• Tags: Adventure
• Comments: It's a shame this story was never continued. Without his father's negative influence, and having Pokémon to take care of, Ranma develops into a much more likeable character, and it's interesting how the author went for developing new customized attacks for Ranma's team, even to the point of getting two of them with a third evolution. Once he gets the female traveling companions, though, they can be somewhat annoying with their constant bickering for attention, but it's still a nice reading. Be mindful that this was written barely when Generation II had just come out, and that it takes a lot from the early seasons of the anime.

• Synopsis: Kamijou Touma, from A Certain Hometown, wants to be a Pokemon Master. There's only one problem... Kamijou can't catch any Pokemon! With misfortune, a PokeStrategist and the Imagine Breaker, Kamijou dreams of becoming a Level Zero Pokemon Master!
• Comments: The author was inspired by God Emperor Penguin's canceled fic A Certain Pokemon Index. Touma is a bit of an Idiot Hero, but he means well. Like the first fic, Touma sees certain Pokemon as girls in costumes while others see them as ordinary Pokemon, but a few can see them too. Index as his living Pokedex, Misaka as a Pikachu, Mugino as an Eevee, and Uiharu as a Caterpie are adorable.

Pokemon Loud Version - Kanto by SilverNugget

• Synopsis: No Such Luck AU. After being accused by Lynn of ruining her championship softball game, Lincoln's family plans to send him away to live with his Aunt Ruth until the whole 'bad luck' mess blows over. However, a suggestion by Lisa leads to a different destination that will change Lincoln's life forever. New 'M' Rating due to language & content within the story.
• Comment: While starting as another NSL story, and bringing the worst in the Loud sisters, it's incredibly well written, and has the family slowly, but surly redeem themselves. It's also very detailed, and combines elements from the Pokemon games, anime, and even manga. As well as has a upcoming harem for our rookie trainer Lincoln, and doesn't rush or force the romance. The author also occasionally has on his latest chapters quizzes. In which whoever private messages the correct answer first, gets to pick nicknames for Lincoln's Pokemon, or what he'll get in wonder trades.
