A Daily Life with My Monster Girl Wives by General RTS

  • Recommended by: Visible Ninja.
  • Status: Dead; last updated January 2016
  • Synopsis: The main cast of Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou in a Monster Girl Quest/Monster Girl Encyclopedia-esque world. At the age of 18, Kimihito Kurusu finds himself the husband of some cute monster girls. Yes, yes it's exactly that kind of fic.
  • Pairings: Kimihito x all of the main cast including Miia, Papi, Centorea, Mero and Rachnee. No sign of Suu or Lala so far, but only the first two chapters are out so there's hope.
  • Tags: Harem, Gentle Femdom, AU, and some Humor
  • Comments: Normally, I don't like crossovers since not a lot of writers can bring two worlds together without destroying the mechanics or spirit of one of the series involved. In this case, RTS does a brilliant job of using the characters and humor of Monster Musume in a pseudo Monster Girl Quest/Encyclopedia type of world. Sex scenes so far are fairly well written and the author makes a significant effort to try to make sure all the characterizations, dialogue, and actions remain faithful to the original Monster Musume characters. Highly recommended for fans of the Monster Girl genre and for people who aren't, RTS still does a meticulous job of laying out the kind of world the cast lives in.

Everyday Life as a Supporting CharacterorHow I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Monster Girls But Not in That Way You Weirdo by luckychaos

  • Recommended by: Matsci, Reaper Frank, Duckling
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: What's a poor guy to do? Pulled through a random wormhole into a work of fiction, pigeon-holed into the Cultural Exchange Between Species Program due to his nature as a dimensional traveler, and partly due to Smith being lazy? That's just unfair! On the other hand, Kimihito is a nice guy, and could probably use the help, and maybe a little bit of future knowledge can avoid some heartache...
  • Pairing(s): SI/Zombina, possibly SI/Mero
  • Now has a tropes page!

My Lesbian Life With Monster Girls: Monster Yurisume by Natron77

  • Recommended by: Erik Howlett, Thragg Lootrippa.
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Yuisu didn't really have a plan in mind when she applied to be an Interspecies Exchange Host. A letter arrived asking for participants and she filled out the form on a whim. She definitely wasn't thinking of beautiful monster girls when she decided to apply. Okay, perhaps she was thinking about them a little bit.
  • Pairings: Yuisu (OC)xHaru, Mara (OC)xTsuen, Yamato (OC)xMisaki .
  • Tags: Yuri, occasional W.A.F.F., some sexiness, very funny.
  • Now has a Page. Needs wiki-love.
  • Comments: This fic is incredibly well-written and strikes the right balance between humor and romance. While not as chaotic and slapstick-heavy as the manga, Monster Yurisume definitely retains the spirit of Okayado's work, which is a definite bonus. Most of the Liminal girls are from the DMM Game, and the author does a great job of giving them their own personality in the context of the story, as he does with those characters that are his OCs. As such, this is a definite must-read for fans of the series.

Daily Life With Monster Roommates by Crowscythe.

  • Recommended by: Erik Howlett.
  • Status: Dead; last updated May 2018
  • Synopsis: While there has been much drama happening for young human host, Kurusu Kimihito, in Japan, a young woman named Kaylynn Dorsey has fallen under the same list of candidates for the Cultural Exchange Between Species Program. Now she is currently sharing residence with a Jersey Devil named Ray, and her life as a host has only just begun.
  • Pairings: N/A
  • Tags: OC-Centric fic.
  • Comments: Another well-written story centered around a group of OCs, this story shakes things up a bit by not only not being a harem story, but also by focusing on several male Liminals that are less human in appearance, such as Ray the Jersey Devil. Each original species has had time and care taken into their creation, both as a limianl species and as an original charcter, which makes them all the more enjoyable to read. The author has a good grasp of these characters as well as the original material, and has a very strong writing style. If you're looking for a good OC-centered story, this is a great place to start.

Your Prince is in Another Castle by Rassilon001.

  • Recommended by: Erik Howlett.
  • Status: Completed.
  • Synopsis: Kimihito and the myriad Monster girls who live in his home stumble across an old manual for a game he used to play, the exciting fantasy adventure of "Catacombs and Chimeras" and decide to pass an afternoon or two playing it themselves. As dice roll and random encounters begin, they're off on a quest to save their beloved Prince from the Forces of Evil.
  • Pairings: All or None.
  • Tags: Humor, Adventure, the usual tabletop RPG shenanigans.
  • Comments: If the prospect of Kimihito and the girls gathering together to play a tabletop RPG, and the sheer amount of possible hijinx that could ensue from that premise alone, isn't enough to interest you, then I don't know what would. Even though it's just begun, the fic is off to a promising start, and Rassilon 001 has an impressive track-record for writing good stories, so this is definitely a fic to follow.
  • Now has a Tropes Page of its very own!

Carry the Fire by Ark Immortal

  • Recommended by: Quasimoto
  • Vanished from the internet. Please post a link if found.
  • Synopsis: "You girls drive me completely insane. But at the end of the day, you're still my family. And I take care of my family, no matter what." A tired and wounded ex-soldier moves to Japan to find peace and healing. Instead, he ends up the host family to a group of monster girls. So help him, God.
  • Tags: OC-Centric fic.
  • Comments: A story that replaces Kimihito with an ex-US solder. It hasn't gotten very far yet, but the Idea makes it worth looking at.

Daily Odd Life with Monster Girls by Gman 360

  • Recommended by: fruitstripegum
  • Status: Dead; last updated June 2018
  • Synopsis: Shirou never had much experience with liminals. The unique aspects of their cultures made it hard for him to relate. But with the combined persuasion of his roommate Erika and his friend Kai, he will have to learn.
  • Tags: OC-Centric fic.
  • Comments: Has a side story here.

The Life with Monster Girls by Soleneus

  • Recommended by: Voldietuegeekgoddess
  • Status: Ongoing, last update October 2020
  • Pairings: Multiple, main pairing is OC/Rachnera
  • Synopsis: Saul Dewitt is an average man living in Japan, having moved there from America, buying a house from a nice family with a kid. While he's there, the existence of Liminals, people with animal features is revealed, along with a bill and a program to exchange cultures, and he is chosen to host one. And, well, life changes. A lot. A Self-Insert, for the most part.
  • Comments: One of the better self-inserts, as the MC is well-rounded and has an interesting backstory. He is also less prudish than Kimihito by an order of magnitude (though still a gentleman) so expect the fic to earn its M rating. Several game exclusive characters and up joining the harem, which is nice. Warning to Papi fans: due to the author's dislike of loli, Papi ends up getting good naturedly Put on a Bus relatively early.

Quiet Life with Monster Girls by 1ForThePriceOf2

  • Recommended by: MidnightSwordGuy
  • Status: Dormant (last update December 2019)
  • Crossover with: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
  • Synopsis: After escaping a terrible fate in the ghost alley, Yoshikage Kira finds himself in a world where the lines between myth and reality are blurred. As the neighbor of Kimihito Kurusu, Kira must now cope with the multitude of issues presented by the Cultural Exchange Program while trying to keep his second chance at a quiet life intact.
  • TVTropes Page.
  • Comments: A very interesting and well-written crossover that takes elements from both series and meshes them together incredibly entertaining chapters. Kira Yoshiakge is given his spot in the limelight, and his dark psyche and actions make for a thrilling read!

Caboose's Guide to Making Friends with Monster Girls byTatsurou-san

  • Recommended by: RJDemand
  • Status: Dormant; last updated March 2019
  • Crossover with: Red vs. Blue
  • Synopsis: Michael J. Caboose is sent on a literal milk run to the planet of New Japan by Tucker, and in typical Caboose fashion he somehow ends up crashing the ship and stuck on the planet for a year. Lucky for him, the government of New Japan considers the Reds and the Blues celebrities from what little news they received of the Chorus rebellion and provides Caboose and freckles a temporary base. All things seem to fall into a routine until a few days later when a scary lady by the name of Agent Kukoro Smith appears with a scaly new friend and kicks off the plot. Hilarity Ensues
  • Comments: One of the most left-field crossovers ever put to paper that somehow manages to work spectacularly! All characters are true to their own character and a few extras are also expanded upon. Caboose takes the spot of the main series protagonist so the story follows the main series of Daily Life with a few twists and turns due to Caboose-based shenanigans. As Caboose is oblivious to most things don't expect any explicit hanky-panky, but buckle up for some surprise feels. Stealth heartwarming and tearjerker moments are this author's bread, butter, and knives so reader beware! Currently Dormant due to the Author juggling at least 6 separate stories on three different sites plus real life, four of which are part of the Adopted Displaced giga MLP crossover series (this is his general fanfic account).
    • Seconded really freaking hard. There is a minor bit of dubious consent during the (off-screen) sex scenes, only because Caboose's aforementioned obliviousness brings his ability to give informed consent into question. This troper wasn't really bothered as Caboose seems fine, but be aware if that sort of thing is a trigger for you.

Monsters to some by Mercaba

  • Recommended by: Pyromania101
  • Status: Complete.
  • Crossover with: Neon Genesis Evangelion
  • Synopsis: Second Impact did more than just change the world's climate, it brought various creatures out of hiding and into the world. Now, thanks to Misato's friend from college, Shinji has to deal with more than just fighting off the Angels, he has to learn how to live with monsters.
    • Comments: Written by the same guy who did Wandering Pilot. Basically, in addition to his day job playing angel exterminator, Shini replaces Kimihito as the Harem Protagonist, though unlike Kimihito, he comes to terms with his feelings for his harem and reciprocates their love for him, to the point of sleeping with Centorea, Papi, and Miia all in one night! Expect Harem Antics, Porn with Plot, and Cerebus Syndrome.

Daily Equestria Life with Monster Girl by Estee

  • Recommended by ultimomant
  • Status: Complete
  • Crossover with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, more specifically Triptych Continuum
  • Synopsis: Centorea somehow gets stranded in Equestria. While she struggles to find a way back home and to Kimihito, the ponies fear her because she is a Centaur, reminding them of Tirek.
    • An excellent story which manages to balance the manic energy of Monster Musume with the more serious subjects of the setting, and does a good job of demonstrating just how amazing Centorea can be. Beware, though; like many of Estee's stories, this crossover is rather heart-wrenching in places, as a slew of cerebus retcons bring Centorea's past struggles into a new light.

Daily Life With A Xenomorph by DWAR

  • Recommended by: bf2234
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Crossover with: Alien
  • Synopsis: Deciding that Kimihitio is tougher than he looks, Smith decided to add another non human into the Kurusu household. Only instead of a monster girl, she sends him a male that looks like a cross between a human and something out of a sci fi horror film. How will this affect the development of Darling Kun's love life. Read and find out.

Monster Among Monsters by Exorelix

  • Crossover with Doom (2016)
  • Recommended by Link On Scepter
  • Status: Hiatus
  • Synopsis: After getting betrayed and sent through a nasty jump through timespace, an alternate world where monsters live among humans, is not something the Unchained Predator would expect to land in. But there may be a reason as to why he was sent here in the first place. Nevertheless, he will rip and tear, until it is done.
  • Comments: This fic takes place after Doom 2016. After Hayden sends the Doom Slayer away, he ends up in the world of Monster Musume. After a few altercations, he does end up living with Kimihito but this is secondary to him trying to track down a cult. Said cult is attempting to bring the Demons of Doom into this world.
