- Synopsis: Demetrius' love for Helena endures, though for her, the magic has faded. A vignette exploring the two characters of A Midsummer Night's Dream who remain under enchantment.
- Comments: This short story picks up twelve years from the events of the play, and works as a kind of Deconstruction of the fact that Shakespeare never released Demetrius from his flower-induced love for Helena, while her love for him is mundane. Has a good use of language in the dialogue between the two of them, and quite an unexpected ending.
