by Kuruk is a Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver oneshot that explores the relationship between Giovanni, Ariana, and Silver. It goes with the theory that Ariana is Silver's mother. In this case, however, she is little more than an egg donor.
Giovanni wanted a heir in his world domination scheme and Ariana was hopelessly devouted to him, so she bore him a son. Ariana hasn't seen her son since his birth, but that changes when she's arrested after the fall of Neo Team Rocket.
Witchcraft provides examples of:
- Adaptation Dye-Job: Red has red eyes instead of his standard brown.
- Mythology Gag: Ariana's codename amongst Team Rocket was "Athena", which is her Japanese name.
- Parental Abandonment: Ariana never had any involvement in Silver's life and his father later abandoned him.
- Shared Family Quirks: Giovanni's two sons, Red and Silver, have calm demeanors and give off an atmosphere of power.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Red is described as a crimson eyed boy. He is a powerful novice trainer who single-handedly beat Team Rocket at age eleven.
