Team RWBY are mysteriously sent back nearly two dozen years. They end up in Beacon during the time that STRQ were first years. The group of teens must adapt to the shock of it all, while trying to find out how to send RWBY back.
This fanfic provides examples of:
- Alternate Universe: It turns out that RWBY ended up over 20 years in a separate timeline.
- Captain Ersatz: Petunia Diggs, Ozpin's predecessor as Headmaster of Beacon, is a racist Smug Snake who uses her authority as an educator to make her students miserable and has her office decked out with pink throw rugs and sickeningly sweet perfume. Just like Dolores Umbridge, the entire school absolutely hates her.
- Titled After the Song: The fanfic is named after the Louis Armstrong song "What A Wonderful World".
- Parental Abandonment: Qrow and Raven's parents died in a plague known as "the Black Vein epidemic of 756" that ravaged Vale a decade before Team RWBY arrived.
- The Plague: The Black Vein that caused the "Epidemic of 756". Qrow, Raven and Summer were infected by it in the past.
- Peggy Sue: Team RWBY is sent back 20 years to when STRQ was in Beacon.
- Strong Family Resemblance: Ruby looks exactly like Summer's deceased sister, but with silver eyes instead of green. She also looks like a younger version of Summer herself.
