Wait a Second, You're Dead?
is a Danny Phantom and Young Justice (2010) crossover.
Danny gets recruited to be apart of the Young Justice team and joins them on missions. Danny hides his identity from the team, and Wally has trouble with believing this whole ghost thing. What will the team think about working with a dead teammate? Read and find out.
Wait a Second, You're Dead? provides examples of:
- Contrived Coincidence: It's an odd coincidence that the first mission that the Team goes on after Danny joining is to rescue some scientists experimenting with ectoplasm.
- Feed It with Fire: When Danny fires an ecto-blast at one of the dogs who was enhanced with ectoplasm, it simply absorbs the energy and gets a boost, much to Danny's shock.
- Gone Horribly Right: The scientists that the Team rescues in the first mission after Danny joins were given ectoplasm without knowing what it actually was, and were told to try to find a way to use it to enhance attack dogs. Well, they did, only for the mutated dogs, and the other animal test subjects, to escape their control and attack them.
- Healing Hands: Averted, Robin asks if Danny has any healing powers, but Danny can only heal himself, so he says no.
- Let X Be the Unknown: The scientists that were given ectoplasm to experiment with weren't told what it was, their employers apparently just calling it "Formula X".
- Title Drop: The title words of the story are uttered when Danny first meets the Team and reveals that he's a ghost.
