Ultimate Dangan Ronpa: Supernova at Sea
is a spin-off fanfiction of the Japanese murder mystery visual novel Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. It is written by galacseas.
Hibiki Kioku is the SHSL Psychologist, an incoming Hope's Peak Academy student, who finds themselves trapped on a ship inside of a dome in the middle of the ocean. It isn't long before they meet the sixteen other Hope's Peak students trapped in there alongside them. The group is soon thrown into a killing game... but there's a twist that sets this game apart. The seventeen participants will be split in the teams, greatly affecting the way the killing game is played. Eight people are assigned to Teams Rho and Delta and the protagonist is assigned to be the lone member of Team Upsilon.

- Bait-and-Switch: Initially, it was believed that both Maeko and Uroko had died in Chapter One. A few moments later, and it's revealed that Maeko had survived the attack.
- Black Comedy: Naturally, contains plenty examples of this.
- Body of the Week: As one might expect from Dangan Ronpa, a new bodies show up on the regular to be investigated by Hibiki.
- Characters Dropping Like Flies: Don't get too attatched to the cast, because most of them will be dead soon... and at an alarmingly fast rate, it seems.
- Closed Circle: The cast is stuck on an abandoned cruise ship sunk deep underwater, with only Monokuma to keep them company.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: In the first execution, Daichi is forced to exhaust himself running inside a giant bingo roller, before being shot out and crushed to death by a giant mallet.
- Empty Chair Memorial: Like in the games proper, the deceased students are represented in trial by memorial photo with their faces crossed out.
- Evidence Scavenger Hunt: After each murder, Hibiki is tasked with collecting evidence to solve the case, much like in the games proper.
