In this story, the three generation casts all competed on the same season. The teams are also completely different.
This work contains examples of:
- Age Lift: All the characters are sixteen in the fic except Cameron, who is fourteen.
- Alternate Universe Fic: What if the Island, Revenge of the Island, and Pahkitew contestants competed on the first season.
- Amicable Exes: Averted at first but eventually played straight with Sierra and Topher.
- Back for the Dead: Jo is one of the four returnees in episode 25, and the eliminee of the same episode.
- Big Bad Wannabe: While the status of Big Bad is still up in the air, a few characters failed to reach that point:
- Justin got Gwen eliminated, but was eliminated two episodes later after being betrayed by Alejandro.
- Aiden made an effort as well, being responsible for the eliminations of Eva, Cody, and Mike, but had to be eliminated after receiving a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown from Mal.
- Mal was built up as a dangerous threat, but ended up being disqualified when it was decided that he was too much of a danger to the other contestants.
- Blatant Lies: Scarlett adamantly claims that she did not deliberately get Brick injured in order to get him eliminated. Nobody but Lindsay and Tyler is buying it, but Chris can't have her disqualified without evidence.
- Bullying the Disabled: Aiden tries to get Mike eliminated once his Dissociative Identity Disorder is revealed. This comes back to bite him when Mal surfaces.
- Butt-Monkey:
- Tyler, as in canon.
- Original Character Aiden.
- A vampire named Nimbus appears in two episodes only to be beaten down for comedy.
- Hate Sink:
- Aiden was created solely for this purpose. Almost all of his confessionals consist of him disparaging other characters, particularly Mike, and being a Smug Snake.
- Jo plays this role as well, being a Jerk with a Heart of Jerk who attempts to lead the Moose team but does so badly, and somehow managing to match Chris for sheer ego.
- Hidden Depths: Lightning, of all people, is a surprisingly good cook.
- Horrible Judge of Character: As par canon, Sugar. Out of everyone on her team that she could have pegged as being plotting against everyone, she thinks it's Bridgette.
- The Paranoiac: The reason Mal became violent and dangerous.
- Related in the Adaptation: Scott and Rodney are cousins in the fic.
- Shout-Out: In the author's final outline of the fic, Alejandro would've met a defeat similar to his defeat in Total Shuffled Island.
- Stupid Evil: Mal has no concept of Pragmatic Villainy, which makes him dangerous from a safety perspective.
- Take That!: Chapter 25 has one towards Chingy.
