The Mobius Chronicles is a series of Sonic the Hedgehog fan novels by CommissarZach. Each one of them chronicles a different era of Mobian history, starting with Amadeus Prower's early years in the military, and eventually hopes to reach the children of Sonic's generation. The author publishes it on his DeviantArt page
in chapter-by-chapter form, and currently is on the third of multiple planned novels.

The Mobius Chronicles provides examples of:
- Darker and Edgier: The first two installments take a serious spin on the Great War from the original Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics.
- Death by Adaptation: In this version of events, the mortal wound that Jules receives kills him. In the comics, he survives, but is slowly dying, and it's part of what leads to the invention of Roboticization. His wife, Bernadette, dies shortly before him, though she was alive and well all the up to the Cosmic Retcon in the comics.
- Door Stopper: Even with only two books finished is over 1,000 pages already.
- Fictional Document: In Darkness Falls, every chapter begins with a quote from with someone's memoirs or a history book written after the war.
- Futureshadowing: Future events are eluded to in the documents.
- Original Character: Fritz, Amadeus' best friend and frequent comrade-at-arms, is the most prevalent. Of course there are more.
- Rock Beats Laser: The enemy Overlanders are equipped with modern automatic firearms and body armor, but their furry enemies manage to hold their ground for a long time despite using inferior equipment.
- Schizo Tech: The Mobians use weapons and tactics resemblant of early 20th century, but their medicine is developed way ahead of time.
