Fanfic / The Knights of Earth

Go To

The Knights of Earth is a fanfic by Navek. It is a crossover between Code Geass and Mobile Suit Gundam Age.

The humans of Earth fought against themselves for selfish reasons. This left them unprepared when a threat came from beyond the stars. But from the Shadow of invasion, freedom has new champions.

Sadly, the author has confirmed that the story has been discontinued.

  • Alien Invasion: Vagan invades during the Massacre at Shinjuku, which ends up completely altering the plot of the story.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Boy howdy have things gone different from canon.
    • The Vagan forces attacking Shinjuku causes the situation to go so badly that the Britannians and Ohgi's forces have to team up to repel them.
    • Lelouch never gets his Geass, as the Vagan forces indirectly kill off the Royal Guardsmen before they can shoot at him or C.C.
    • Adding to the above, Lelouch directly reveals himself to Kallen, Ohgi, Jeremiah, Suzaku, Viletta, and Clovis after the Battle for Shinjuku concludes.
    • Due to all of the above, Clovis has a Heel–Face Turn. Because Lelouch felt that they would need more help to battle off Vagan, though, Clovis requests that Cornelia and Euphie come to Area 11.
    • Events conspire to make both Nina and Kewell question their racism - one of the JLF soldiers at Lake Kawaguchi ends up non-fatally Taking the Bullet for Nina, whilst Suzaku saves Kewell from one of the Vagan mechs.
    • At the end of the Lake Kawaguchi incident, Lelouch and The Knights of Earth make their identities public.
    • Vagan really catches everyone off guard when they murder the Emperor and attack Pendragon.
  • Heel Realization: Clovis has one when he witnesses the Vagan slaughtering everyone in Shinjuku, being completely disgusted by their actions, only to realize that he ordered his own forces to do the same thing to the Japanese people in Shinjuku. This prompts him to do a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Hostage Situation: During the Lake Kawaguchi incident, not only does the JLF take everyone at the hotel hostage, they also manage to capture Clovis. It's actually Lelouch and his forces in disguise, and Clovis is in on the plan.
  • Human Aliens: The Vagan in this story are explicitly this, as the Code Geass universe hasn't reached the point of space colonization just yet.
  • Off the Rails: Suffice to say, this story diverges quite a bit from the source material.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Clovis and Kewell, due to the actions of the Vagan unintentionally giving them chances for redemption.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Kirihara and the JLF attempt to oust Britannia from Japan after the Vagan forces kill Charles and attack Pendragon, believing they will only attack Britannia. He gets a pass, though, because Clovis covered up the fact that they indiscriminately targeted people during the Massacre at Shinjuku, in order to avoid a mass panic. The Vagan forces briefly mock him about this before killing him.
