Greetings Mr. Diary.
I feel I should inform you that this whole 'diary' business is a waste of my time and yours.

— Twelve year-old Glynda Goodwitch's thoughts on having a diary.
The Diary of Glynda Goodwitch is a RWBY fanfiction focusing on the exploits of the young Glynda Goodwitch, years before she becomes a teacher at Beacon. It generally focuses on the school life of the young girl as she goes through puberty, romance, friendships and varied shenanigans. Among others, she befriends Yin and Summer, Yang and Ruby's mothers, and Cinder Fall, as well as the other future parents of the RWBY characters.
As of now, the story is quite episodic, with self-contained stories per chapter, but there are some story arcs, as detailed below:
- The Antic War Arc (Chapters 56-60)
- The Break-Up Arc (Chapters 63-64)
- The Halloween Arc (Chapters 66-69)
- The Moepocalypse Arc (Chapters 95-100)
Part of The Reactsverse. Is the prequel to Weiss Reacts.
This fanfiction contains examples of:
- Amazon Brigade: One is formed in Diary of Glynda Goodwitch as a Distaff Counterpart to the Four Horsemen. The members are Cinder, Emmy Valkyrie, Minene Uryuu and Ayase Shinomiya. They even call themselves the Amazon Brigade.
- Brown Note: Kotomi's violin. So much that Kamina himself declares that anything is permitted to stop her playing it out of sheer terror.
- Cosplay Otaku Girl: Cinder, obviously, but most of the girls have shades of this. There are also five whole teams of girls dressed as Madoka, Homura, Kyoko, Sayaka and Mami in Beacon, and Glynda is even invited to join team MAMI.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Siegfried Schnee with his rocket propelled zweihander Balmung against Duke Winchester's mundane sword. To be fair, Duke had it coming.
- The Four Horsemen against the entirety of AKB0048 and team GYRF. Needless to say, all the manliness in the world does not save the former.
- Dreadful Musician: Kotomi. Even the master musician Ludwig Amadeus and the entirety of AKB0048 can do nothing to make her play better.
- Fun with Acronyms: Team GYRF, Glynda's team. Also, Chieri's team, team CHRI (Cherry). Glynda wonders briefly if they are all indeed 'cherries' before denying any interest at all.
- Godzilla Threshold: The East Wing Concordat can be broken if Kotomi is ever used as a weapon again.
- Idol Singer: The whole of AKB0048, Inori and Hatsune Miku attend Beacon in Glynda's year.
- Prequel: Takes place several decades before Weiss Reacts.
- Shout-Out: In the Diary of Glynda Goodwitch, a certain Takumi runs away from Alexander's chariot. Ayase makes a cameo as the tester of the Schnee Company mecha, and Inori is one of the idols who joins Beacon.
- Hatsune Miku and the rest of AKB0048 also appear.
- During the chapter FateGlynda, Summer uses a Grief Seed to summon Kyubey as her Servant, while Cinder uses Deus ex Gasai to summon Yuno.
- The Neighbour's Brigade's collection of games in Diary of Glynda Goodwitch includes Catherine, CLANNAD and Fate/stay night. It also acts as an Early-Bird Cameo for Chieri Sono due to the console being a Gamestation 4 from Sono Electronics.
- Spoiled Brat: Lia Nikos, Pyrrha's mother. She doesn't even fight; she leaves that to her Servant Diarmuid.
- Stupid Sexy Flanders: Chieri is this to Glynda, who can't help but let the occasional perverted thought out about her. Also, Cinder and Yin have the same effect.
- Transparent Closet: Glynda, so much. Although as it is canonically confirmed she's bisexual, perhaps there wasn't a closet to begin with...
