The 13 Sons of Eve is a Diabolik Lovers fanfiction by SugarButterfly432.

It's been many years since Yui Komori had disappeared from the lives of her captors. While they may have hurt her, they all fell in love with her. However, one day thirteen mysterious young men appear who call themselves "The 13 Sons of Eve". Just who are these people? And why do they look like them?

You can read the story here and here.

The 13 Sons Of Eve provides examples of

  • Abusive Parents:
    • In flashbacks, Seiji would hit his adoptive daughter, Yui, whenever she tried to intervene in the training he forced her sons to go through and would abuse her in front of them. It's implied that his abuse of his daughter was one of the reasons that led her to have a mental breakdown and become separated from her children.
    • It's not unusual for a human woman to become cold towards her half-demon child if it was conceived by rape.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In canon, the Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers barely get along and mostly only tolerate each other because of Yui. Here, while there's still some hostility between the boys, they manage to work together cleaning the school as their punishment and are even hanging out at the mall without Yui.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Yui. After getting kidnapped by her own father and his men, the man who raised her abused her and her 13 sons, whom she had with her demon harem. Yui tried to be a good mother towards her children and be supportive of them of helping people, but the abuse she endured from her father and the other church members had stressed her mental health to the point it was starting to crack. Her sons' resemblance to their fathers didn't help, with Yui becoming worried to the point she was afraid of looking at them because of her fear that something bad might happen.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: The Sakamakis, Mukamis, Tsukinamis, and Kino all appear to be somewhat more kinder then they are in canon. Most noticably is their interaction with the Hamasaki siblings, such as helping Kotaro find his missing action figure, or letting Bunko go peacefully with her brother after she was rude to them, something they would never do in canon.
  • Age Lift: Yui is a woman in her late thirties, while she's a teenager in canon.
  • All-Ghouls School: Ryotei Gakuen High School Academy has all kinds of teenage demons from around the world. However, the school was originally a human school that Karlheinz built for his sons. This was because many of the human students were leaving because of the night schedule with the school was going to be shut down.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: Human women and girls from backwater towns and villages around the world are getting kidnapped by demon families to become brides for their sons. Despite the Komori brothers having since banned the practice, many demons continue to force human girls into marriage they don't want.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The Sakamakis, Mukamis, Tsukinamis, and Kino all fell in love with Yui because she was so kind and accepting, despite their treating her with inhuman cruelty.
  • Benevolent Boss: Chikashi Tomioka, the owner of Moonlight Restaurant, deeply cares for his employees. He puts their well-being above everything else and is not willing to let them serve demons if they can't handle them.
  • Berserk Button: It's a really bad idea to harass human women in front of the Komori brothers. Considering how their demon fathers treated their human mother, it's hard to fault them.
  • Big Brother Instinct:
    • All 13 of the Komori brothers are protective of each other and look after one another, as they made a promise to their mother, Yui, to keep each other safe.
    • Big Sister Instinct with Bunko. She's very protective of her little brother Kotaro, and is not afraid to talk back to demons if that means keeping him safe from strangers. Though she's not above to scold him if he's doing something he knows he shouldn't.
  • Boomerang Bigot: The Komori brothers seem to resit their demon heritage and prefer their human nature. They even call their demon heritage a curse. This is likely because of their harsh upbringing by their grandfather and the fact their mother was abused by their fathers. Though, they do eat at the demon side of the restaurant they were visiting.
  • Broken Bird: Although Yui is in the care of the mental hospital and has regained her health after staying there for 7 years, the poor woman didn't have a good life prior to the story's events. Her relationship with her father used to be good before he became abusive to her for having demon children. She was also used as a blood bank by the fathers of her beloved children. It's not a surprise when her sanity eventually cracks.
  • Child by Rape: Chapter 5 reveals that Anna is pregnant with the werewolf to whom she was married against her will and who focused himself on her every night before she was eventually rescued. The Komori brothers become worried about her and her unborn child since human mothers either become overprotective or are cold towards their hybrid children who were born from this horrible act.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Since they were five years old, the Komori brothers went through extremely brutal training by their adoptive human grandfather, Seiji, to become demon hunters. He did not care this hurt them, to the point they would throw up when they were pushed to their limits. Their mother, Yui, tried to stop it by intervening, but her father would slap her in front of her sons for doing so. While she was nothing but a kind and warm mother, Yui was driven to her breaking point after enduring abuse and bullying from Seiji and the other church members before she eventually became too mentally unstable to even be around her own children and had to be separated from them, leaving them completely in the hands of their abusive grandfather. The Komori brothers eventually get back at him by somehow taking over the demon hunters and becoming the new leaders. After doing so, the Komori brothers decides to take their revenge on their fathers for abusing their beloved mother in the past.
  • Dhampyr: 11 of the Komori brothers are this, as their fathers are from the Sakamaki and Mukami families, who are pure blooded and impure blooded vampires respectively. Averted with Osamu and Masaru, are the only ones who are actually half First Bloods from their fathers, the Tsukinami brothers.
  • Disappeared Dad: The Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers have no idea that they are this to their sons. Justified, because Yui was taken by her father and his fellow hunters before their children were even born, making them miss most of their sons' lives.
  • Fantastic Racism: Between humans and demons. The prejudice between the two species isn't pretty, with humans seeing demons as monsters and the demons looking down on humans and only seeing them as food.
  • Flower Motifs: Roses for the Komori family. They are the family's favorite flower, with Yui's sons each giving her a single rose of their favorite color to make a bouquet. Roses are used to symbolize the Komori brothers' love for their mother.
  • Fur Against Fang: Averted. Reiji is shown to be on good terms with Elizabeth Smith, a werewolf and a fellow student council member, so it's implied that vampires and werewolves don't have any rivalry in the story.
  • Gilded Cage: Yui and her sons used to live in a beautiful mansion with a garden, but they were kept as prisoners by Seiji, who forced his grandsons to train starting at the age of 5 and would abuse his daughter for trying to stop him.
  • Good Parents: Yui loves her 13 sons very much and hopes that they'll be wonderful adults someday. Flashbacks show that she supported them in trying to help people and would comfort them after their harsh training.
  • Gruesome Grandparent: Seiji hated his adoptive half-breed grandsons and would harshly train them to become demon hunters despite the fact that they were only five at the start of their training. He also didn't have a problem with abusing their mother right in front of them whenever she tried to stop him from being harsh to them.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold:
    • Like in canon, Yui is a kindhearted and sweet woman with platinum blonde hair who deeply cares about others, even if they hurt her.
    • Dr. Riley Walker is a dirty blonde who treats their patients with kindness and is gentle when asking about the state of their mental health.
    • Kotaro Hamasaki is a sweet little human boy with platinum blonde hair. Even though he's told to never speak to demons, he is still kind towards the Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers despite the older boys being demons themselves, and even thanked them for helping him find his Captain Awestruck action figure.
  • Half-Breed Discrimination: Children who are half-human and half-demon will face discrimination from both sides, as they're seen as monsters by humans and freaks by demons.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: The Komori brothers are half-human from their mother's side (Yui) and half-demon from their fathers' (the Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers). Though they have yet to show any of the powers as their fathers have.
  • Hates Their Parent: The Komori brothers absolutely loathe their demon fathers. Justified, as the Komori brothers know about the abuse and torture their fathers put their mother through.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Kotaro looks up to an American hero called Captain Awestruck, having a toy version of him and calling him a really cool person who beats up bad guys and always saves the day. Kotaro also gets upset when Yuma calls Captain Awestruck some guy in a cheap costume. It's unknown if Captain Awestruck is a real hero or a fictional character.
  • Heroic Bastard: The Komori brothers are half-demons who wish to help people, despite their demonic heritage. They were also born out of wedlock, since their mother was taken by her father and never got the chance to choose who she married.
  • Human-Demon Hybrid: The Komori brothers are half-human on their mother's side and half-demon on their fathers'. 11 of them are half-vampire and 2 of them are half First Blood.
  • Hunter of Monsters: Just like in canon, there are demon hunters here. The story has them as some kind of secret police who will hunt down any demon who has broken the laws that keep the peace between humans and demons.
  • Hypocrite: The Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers were shocked to see how horribly Yui was treated by her adoptive father. However, they themselves had treated her just as bad, if not more so, during their time with her.
  • I'll Kill You!: Chapter 5 reveals that Yui wanted to leave the mansion that held her and her children imprisoned and take them with her. However, she couldn't since she feared that her father would kill her and her sons if they ever did.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: The Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers are completely unaware that Yui was pregnant with their sons when Seiji took her away from them. Thus, they're also unaware of their children's plans of revenge for what they did to their beloved mother.
  • The Mall: The leaders of the demon hunters (the Komori brothers) built a new mall a week prior to the events of the story. A few humans know about its existence and it is one of the few places where humans and demons can co-exist peacefully.
  • Mars Needs Women: Only human women and girls are being targeted as mates for demons. There's also the hospital for the victims, who are all female. So far, there has yet to be confirmation of human men being desired as human women.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: The 13 brothers of the Komori family, each fathered by a boy from Yui's harem. Their mother was pregnant with all of them at the same time.
  • Missing Mom: Prior to the story, Yui had a mental breakdown because of all of the abuse she suffered by the hands of her father and the other church members and was separated from her sons when they were still young. They have yet to meet her out of fear she'll have another breakdown if she sees them again, due to their resemblance to their demon fathers, who abused her.
  • Momma's Boy: All 13 of the Komori boys love their human mother deeply. In spite of everything that happened in the past, they have no ill thoughts towards her and still see her in a positive light. They even go as far as to build a mental hospital for women like her to help heal their trauma.
  • One True Love: Yui is the only woman that the Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers had ever loved. All 13 of them still love Yui despite the years that went by since she was taken from them.
  • Only Friend: Charlotte appears to be this to the Komori brothers. She has known them since they were boys and has basically raised them after their mother was taken away from them.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The Vampire King Karlheinz is bothered by the leaders of the demon hunters when they demanding demon blood from the demons in the Human World so they can easily target a demon if they kill a human.
  • Parents as People: Despite trying her best to be a good and caring mother to her half-breed sons, Yui is a human who was suffering from abuse and bullying from everyone who heavily judged her for having children of demons. This unfair treatment eventually caused Yui to have a mental breakdown and be separated from her children.
  • Pet the Dog: The Sakamakis, Mukamis, and Tsukinamis help the little human boy Kotaro search for his action figure, despite not knowing him. Also, they simply let Bunko leave peacefully while taking her brother with her to meet up with their parents even though she was rude to them, something they would normally not take kindly to.
  • Raised by Grandparents: After Yui became too unstable to be around her children, Seiji became his grandsons' guardian. Unfortunately, this left the Komori brothers without their mother's protection for years as they went through their grandfather's brutal training.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Chikashi understands when his workers want to push themselves while they work, especially since the restaurant where they work serves both humans and demons, and dealing with the latter can be difficult. However, he stops them from possibly hurting themselves on the job.
  • Sanity Slippage: After being abused and bullied by her adoptive father and the other church members, Yui began to lose her sanity. It also didn't help when her sons started to look more and more like their fathers despite her trying to protect them.
  • School Nurse: Momo Miyashita is the nurse of Ryotei Gakuen High School Academy, who took over after Karl/Reinhart left. She is considered by the students to be the most beautiful staff member in the whole school.
  • Sibling Team: After taking over the entire organization from their grandfather, the Komori brothers work together as the new leaders of the demon hunters.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: The Komori brothers were given a harsh upbringing by their grandfather because their fathers are demons who impregnate his once beloved daughter.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: According to Elizabeth, romance between humans and demons will always end in tragedy no matter what they do. Friendship is considered to be a better option.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: The Komori brothers look exactly like their fathers. It's also one of the many reasons they refuse to see their mother again, out of fear they might cause her further despair.
  • Supernaturally Young Parent: The Sakamaki, Mukami, and Tsukinami brothers are all still teenagers, with their sons being the same age as them. This is justified since they're vampires and First Bloods who have longer lifespan than humans, while their sons are half-human. However, it seems that their sons are catching up with their demon lifespan, since the narration reveals that it's been 22 years since Yui was taken from them.
  • Tangled Family Tree: The Komori brothers are not only siblings but also cousins as well, since their respective fathers are brothers and cousins. Like in canon, the Sakamaki brothers only share the same father while having different mothers, with the triplets only sharing the same mother. The Mukami brothers are actually adoptive brothers who became close during their shared harsh childhood, and the Tsukinami brothers are first cousins once removed to the Sakamaki triplets through the latter's mother and step-cousins to Shu, Reiji, and Subaru.
  • Teenage Pregnancy: Yui was just a teenager when she became pregnant with her sons. However, thanks to her sons' demon lifespan, she looks like she had them in her adult years, since she's currently 39.
  • There Are No Therapists: Averted. There is a mental hospital for former brides of demons to help them recover. This was built 7 seven years prior by the Komori brothers to help their mother. Yui is shown to have regained her mental health after getting professional help.
  • Training from Hell: Seiji forced his adoptive grandsons to train when they were five years old. The training was extremely brutal, as the boys would often have bruises or throw up if they were training too hard. Yui tried to stop her father being hard on them, but would only met with a slap across her face while her sons would watch in horror.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Seiji had no problem slapping his adoptive daughter, Yui, whenever she tried to stop him from hurting her sons during their training.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Seiji put his adoptive grandsons through harsh training, even though they were five years old at the time. He didn't care if his way of training them caused them to vomit after he pushed their limits.
