The fic starts with Raven, Chelsea, and Eddie graduating high school together. The trio go off to separate colleges in autumn and sparingly see each other afterwards. Eight years later, Chelsea turns up at Raven's office, dirty and heavily pregnant. She's run away from her abusive husband. She knows Raven will be there for her, so she's come to ask to stay for a while. Raven agrees and soon Raven's long-standing feelings for Chelsea come back.
