She Might Be Giant
is a Bug Fables fanfiction story by Zennistrad, taking place after the main game. It features Melissa, a human entomology student that has always been fascinated by insects, studying in college. And then the world suddenly ends in a rain of fire. But this isn't the end for her, for after floating in some kind of senseless limbo for who knows how long, someone sends her to Bugaria, shrunken down to the size of the insect inhabitants, where she gets another chance to study bugs that she could never have imagined...

- Answers to the Name of God: In one scene, Melissa is startled by one of Venus' buds and yells "Jesus Christ!" in shock. Venus replies "Wrong god, I’m afraid."
- Humans Through Alien Eyes: Being the only "Giant"/human that the inhabitants of Bugaria have ever seen, Melissa is a rather fascinating individual to them, and them being weirded out by her biology — none of them have any particular experience with how vertebrates are put together, to begin with — is a bit of a Running Gag.
- Incredible Shrinking Man: Whoever sent Melissa to Bugaria also shrunk her down to the size of the native bugs.
- Last of Their Kind: As far as Melissa can tell, she is the last human — and very likely the last vertebrate — alive.
- Past-Life Memories: Part of the reason that the ancient Roaches were so advanced is that they somehow managed to awaken the memories of their previous human lives, giving them a massive jump-start compared to the other bugs.
- Reincarnation: Venus reveals to Melissa that all the sapient bugs were once human in their previous lives.
- Shout-Out: The title is a reference to the band They Might Be Giants, and all of the chapter titles are taken from their songs.
