See You In The Dark is a crossover between The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. and Worm.

Saiki Kusuo's efforts to live an ordinary life are constantly being thrown into disarray, and this is the worst incident yet. Not only have his malfunctioning psychic powers thrown him into another dimension, they've changed the genre entirely. What's it going to take to get back to his usual comedy show?

It can be read here.

This fic features examples of:

  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other:Saiki tells himself that he doesn't want to have anything to do with Taylor, but he is very quick to get involved to help her when her life is in danger.

  • Crapsack World: Earth-Bet is, as usual, beset by a multitude of threats, prime among them being the Endbringers. This creates a pervasive sense of wariness and pessimism on the general population which Saiki's telepathy catches on to. Lampshaded:
Saiki: Good grief. This setting is way too dark.

  • Curb-Stomp Battle: In an alternate timeline, the E88 attempts to make a public execution of the Undersiders, but Saiki appears to save them, right before destroying the entire gang in just five minutes.

  • Darker and Edgier: While it still has some comedic moments (mostly from the protagonist's narration), the story takes itself far more seriously than The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., and Saiki's issues towards his powers are explored more in depth.

  • I Resemble That Remark!: Tattletale, while analyzing Saiki, determines that he's depressed. Saiki takes offense to that, while tying in complaints about his life to his offense.

  • Medium Blending: Every chapter comes with a couple illustrations that lend the story a Light Novel aesthetic, but chapter 1.5 takes it a step further by including a short Visual Novel segment at the end.

  • Mugging the Monster: While at school, Saiki is approached by an ABB member who plans to bring him into a trap where he will be kidnapped and used as one of Bakuda's suicide bombers. Throughout all this, the guy has no idea that Saiki is an extremely powerful psychic, who only decided to accompany him because he heard in his thoughts that his younger brother would be next if he didn't bring anyone.

  • Poke in the Third Eye: Saiki had an unpleasant shock when the Simurgh realized that he was using his clairvoyance on her.

  • Trapped in Villainy: Masangkay, a low level ABB member who's ordered by Bakuda to bring people for her to turn into living bombs. Not only would the bomb in his head go off if he failed to do so, she also threatened to do the same to his little brother.
