Roadtrip to Piedmont
is a Gravity Falls fan fiction written by Virtual_Knight64. It crosses over with Rick and Morty.
Two years have passed since The Pines Twins went home from Gravity Falls. After the twins went silent for months, Pacifica Northwest, Wendy Corduroy, Candy Chiu, Grenda Grendinator and Marius von Fundshauser travel to Piedmont to pay them a surprise visit, only to learn that something terrible has happened to Dipper.

- Banishing Ritual: The crew try to banish Bill once and for all, except it was never meant to end that way.

- Call-Back: A lot of references are made to the original show and to Rick and Morty.
- Cool Old Guy: The Stan Twins and Rick.
- Dude in Distress: Dipper.
- Florence Nightingale Effect: Dipper's ordeal has taken such a heavy toll, he has has been left too weak to move his body. Out of love for him, Pacifica nurses him back to health. Heart-broken by how badly Mark was abused, Wendy falls for him and vows to look after him.
- Ghostly Goals: The gang bump into the Duskertons near the end and Rick clones them back to life.
- Groin Attack: Pacifica interrogates a cultist by using a pair of pliers on his groin. Morty threatens Jerry with nanobots that will make all his underwear crush his groin if he screws up his chances with Mabel. He actually does it to Gideon a chapter later.
- Intimate Healing: After rescuing him, Pacifica shares beds with Dipper while he's recovering from three months of torture. It helps him calm down and sleep better. Get your head out the gutter! They're not doing *THAT*! Well, not untill the end, anyway.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: At the end of chapter 3, the gang rush Dipper, who is in a critical condition, to hospital. Pacifica cradles him in her arms, begging him to hold on and confessing her love for him in tears and fear of losing him.
- Reincarnation: Bill was reincarnated as an axolotl.
- Road Trip Plot: The girls sneak out of Gravity Falls to travel to Piedmont and visit Dipper and Mabel.
- Shout-Out: There's a couple of shout-outs to Dark Harvest and Red Dwarf throughout the story.
- Tragic Villain: The Great Axolotl reveals that Bill was originally a scientist who tried to alter the fabric of reality to benefit his people. When his experiment went wrong, his reality was destroyed and he went insane. The Great Axolotl used Rick's portal gun to send Bill to a copy of his original realty where only he died instead and he was reunited with his family, bringing all the pain and misery to an end.
- Police Are Useless: The police has done nothing towards finding Dipper after his kidnapping. It's soon revealed that it's because that many members of the local police force are members of the cult.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend:
- In chapter 3, Pacifica interrogates a cultist by using a pair of pliers on him while screaming "IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHERE MY MAN IS RIGHT NOW, I'LL TURN YOU INTO A EUNUCH!!!" and in Chapter 4, she kicks a bully's teeth out after he picks on Dipper.
- Grenda knocks a cultist out for targeting Marius.
