Go To

My Ridonculous Race, written by Canis Autistic (MatthieuLacrosse on Deviantart), is a fanfiction, in script format, of Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race. What's different here are the 7 additional teams competing. They include Jordan and Fabian "The Animaniacs" (of no relation to the real Animaniacs we all know and love), Sam and May "The Anime Nerds", Leo and Annie "The Siblings", June and Quince "The Julliard Students", Syd and Dani "Mother and Son", Gabriella and Nekota "The Gym Rats", and Aaryn and Yves "The Models". In addition to having seven additional teams there are also several additional cities visited, providing all sorts of new challenges and obstacles for the 18 canon teams to overcome.

And here on Deviantart

My Ridonculous Race contains examples of:

  • Achievements in Ignorance: In Greece, Fabian accidentally shoots down 5 "stymphalian birds" (actually aerial drones) with one arrow without even trying.
  • Adaptational Badass: Tom and Jen (originally the 5th team eliminated) last much longer in this story, getting eliminated in India.
    • The same can also be said of Dwayne and Junior who not only last longer but also win a leg, something they never did in the original work.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Jacques and Josee go from ArcVillains to the Big Bad Duumvirate of the series, being far more underhanded and orchestrating more eliminations than they did in canon.
  • Adaptation Species Change: The Emu that are part of the latter half of the Argentine leg are changed to Rhea in this story.
  • Alice Allusion: While tripping on the peppers in Mexico Devin recites the Jabberwocky poem. And in San Francisco the cadets mural is described as looking like Wonderland.
  • All There in the Manual: Information about the OCs is mentioned in the first chapter. The second chapter is where the show actually starts.
  • And This Is for...: In New York, Leo beats Chris McLean whilst reciting a litany of grievances related to Chris' behaviour as host of the canonical Total Drama seasons.
Leo: This is for listening in on people’s private moments! This is for eliminating Sierra because of an accident! This is for letting Ezekiel go feral! This is for letting teens live amongst radioactive waste! This for mutating a poor girl! This is for not caring for people’s sake and wellbeing! This is for being a sadist! This is for grandpa! This is for grandma! This is for June! For Quince! For Annie! And this is for being the biggest douchebag on television since they let that moron onto Even Stevens, Bitch!
  • Angry Guard Dog: Show up fittingly in the Cerberus part of the "12 Labors of Hercules" challenge
  • Anguished Declaration of Love:
    • Leo and June finally do this is "Down and Outback".
    • In the episode prior, Carrie told Devin the truth about her feelings before he could call his girlfriend.
  • Badass Bystander: Anjel Williams in London. And Gabriella and Nekota in Washington DC.
  • The Bad Guy Wins:
    • Although the Ice Dancers' plot in "And Away We Galapagos" does not get the team they were targeting eliminated, it does eliminate another team the Ice Dancers have no great love for.
    • In Mexico they succeed in eliminating the Goths.
    • In San Francisco they succeed in eliminating the Gym Rats.
    • In Spain they cause enough of a rift between the Step-Brothers for them to be eliminated.
    • In Washington DC they succeed, but just barely, in eliminating MacArthur and Sanders.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: In addition to the below mentioned moment in Greece, both Russia and the Bahamas include a brief sequence where the contestants sing. Tom and Devin recognize it but Leo just tells them to pay it no mind.
  • Big Damn Kiss: One happens in Greece and another 3 happen at the finish line in New York.
  • Bilingual Bonus: The names of the dogs for the 1st challenge in Japan are of Ash and his traveling companions from the Pokémon anime
  • Black Comedy: It's implied that the owner(s) of the bicycles the stragglers find in India were eaten by a tiger.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall:
    • In Greece, Josee quips that not even the writers know how she and Jacques completed one task so quickly.
    • In Argentina, both Emma and Kitty break character and ask the episode's director, Keith Oliver, if they have to say a certain particularly lame pun. He says if they have a problem they should talk to the episode's writer, Craig.
  • Brick Joke: In India Fabian remembers how all 3 times he tried to ride a bicycle were ruined by a Great Dane. In London he gets run over by 3 Great Danes dragging their walker along for the ride.
  • Broken Pedestal: Josee becomes one to Gabriella after Josee betrays Gabriella to get the win in Venice.
  • Brother–Sister Team: Annie and Leo.
  • Brutish Bulls: Averted, the bulls required for the first challenge in the Spanish leg are easily scared and spooked as opposed to being angry and mean, not that this makes them any easier to capture. Played straight with the bulls in Greece's "12 Labors of Hercules" challenge
  • The Cameo: Bridgette, Shawn and Jasmine all make guest appearances in the Geelong chapter.
  • Can't Get Away with Nuthin': Though Nekota actively tried to avoid this outcome, he and Gabriella wind up being chased by a kangaroo during the bunny herding challenge.
  • Chariot Race: The second challenge in Rome, and to no one's surprise it happens in the Colosseum.
  • Chekhov's Gag: The Grecian chapter has a minor joke of the Greek Pantheon watching the show and getting a good laugh out of it, along with a hint of them being able to influence the game as it pans out. In the finale, Eris the goddess of chaos does what she does best and causes the Ice Dancers to finish in 3rd place.
  • Chekhov's Gun: In Mexico Sam gives may his Swiss army knife, which she uses to extract the seeds from the peppers for both her and Fabian.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Fabian, who happily mentions the time he impersonated a fox for a week as an art project.
  • Contrived Coincidence: In DC, Sanders mentions how incredibly lucky it is that Gabriella and Nekota just happened to be jogging where Josee threw away MacArthur's passport. Though according to them, the real coincidence is that the show just happened to be filming on the day they go jogging down that trail.
  • Cosmic Plaything: One of the cameramen calls Devin one and the Grecian chapter implies that the whole show is some sort of spectacle being watched (and micro-managed) by the Greek Pantheon.
  • *Cough* Snark *Cough*: While Don is explaining the challenge in the Galapagos.
Don: But to prevent a team, (coughs) like the Ice Dancers, from using up all available creatures, if they take multiple photos of multiple species we will only count one.
  • Cover Innocent Eyes and Ears: Dwayne and Leo do this to Junior and Annie when May gets a little too friendly with the snakes in Greece.
  • Crazy-Prepared: When Josee tries to issue a Groin Attack to Leo on board the Darjeeling Express he reveals that he's wearing a crotch protector and has been wearing it since the race began.
  • Cutting the Knot: Jordan and Gabriella try to muscle their way through the dune buggy challenge in Las Vegas when the Sisters and Cadets turn it into a demolition derby but it winds up unsuccessful.
  • Deus ex Machina: Sanders and MacArthur discuss this in the Arctic Circle before the narwhals come to save them. Other examples include the dragon spit bucket in Indonesia, the bikes in India and Anjel Williams in London.
    • Played quite literally in the finale. As Nike and Eris watch the final 3 compete, Eris unleashes a swarm of rats onto New York, the ensuing fracas leads to the 3rd place finish of the Ice Dancers.
  • Distant Reaction Shot: When the Ice Dancers scream as they're going down the Fujiyama coaster in Japan, we get reactions from not only Don and the other contestants, but also rural fisherman, school children and their teacher, two girls in Harajuku clothes, an old woman and her cat, a geisha, a sumo wrestler, a dog in a backyard, a martial arts class, a sword fighting class, a bunch of people on a train, some businessmen, a family eating together, and all the names mentioned above in The Cameo.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: As Dwayne is about to power Junior into the Kola Borehole he imagines it erupting in flames and a demon popping out to drag his son down to the underworld. Thankfully it's just an Imagine Spot.
  • Dying Curse: When Noah is cornered by a rhino in Africa, believing he is about to die, one of the last things he says to the camera is to curse Heather, if she should ever watch the episode. Subverted as he doesn't die, thanks to Emma saving him.
Noah: And Heather if you're watching this, with my last words I curse you, you insipid heartless bitch!
  • Everything Makes a Mushroom: Jacques does this during the "Storm the Castle" challenge in London with a mini-cannonball and a slingshot.
  • Excited Episode Title!: "Tokyo M G!"
  • Fantasy Helmet Enforcement: Tom, Jen, Devin, Dwayne, and Fabian all don these after miraculously finding bikes in India. Though given the show they're on, keeping those helmets may have been a smart choice.
  • Fatal Flaw: June's tendency to ignore Quince winds up getting them eliminated when, unlike Leo she neglects to drag her partner alongside herself during the final sprint to the chill zone in the Galapagos.
  • Food Fight: One happens in Spain, in a challenge inspired by the real life La Tomatina festival. Another one happens on the Darjeeling Express in India.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: The chef overseeing the pasta making challenge in Rome calls Josee a "crazy bitch" in Italian.
    • After exiting the train in India Jacques tells the other teams "Dans ton putain de visage!", which translates to "In your effing face!"
  • Former Teen Rebel: Dani was revealed to have been one in "I Love Ridonc and Roll".
  • For Want Of A Nail: Unlike in canon, the Ice Dancers stick with their Evil Costume Switch rather than switching back to their pink outfits.
  • Freudian Excuse: Leo mentions the reason he doesn't try to pursue romance is because he saw his parents relationship crumble before his eyes as a young child. June also reveals that the reason she is so pushy comes from lingering habits passed down by her mother.
  • Fruit Cart: Dwayne and Junior run into one in Rome, though in an interesting variation it wasn't actually a fruit cart but a statue dedicated to them.
  • Full-Boar Action: Show up both on the train in India and in the Erymanthian Boar part of the "12 Labors of Hercules" challenge.
  • Genius Bonus: The Library of Congress challenge in DC provides some rather obscure clues to the books needed.
  • Grapes of Luxury: Don gives the Labors of Hercules challenge briefing whilst being fed grapes by an assistant.
  • Groin Attack: Josee tries to issue one to Leo in India but see Crazy-Prepared above.
    • When the cadets are eliminated in Capital Idea, MacArthur promptly kicks Jacques & Josee in the family jewels, which was something she had been waiting to do for a LONG time.
  • Hair-Contrast Duo: Several. Blonde Sam is much more bombastic while the raven haired May is more demure, blonde Annie is more open to the other teams while redhead Leo is more withdrawn, brunette Fabian is a ball of nerves while blonde Jordan never seems to lose her cool, blue haired Syd is rather shy while his umber haired mom is open to talking to others, and redhead Gabriella is more prone to outbursts while dark haired Nekota is much calmer.
  • Heroic BSoD: Happens to Fabian the first time he tries to do the air guitar challenge in Finland.
  • Hidden Depths: In addition to June's conversation with the Vegans, Sam tells Junior about how he used to feel so invisible as a young child in order to ease his plight about performing in the magic show challenge in Las Vegas.
  • Honor Before Reason: Annie almost quits the show when she refuses to participate in the bunny herding challenge in Australia, but Fabian convinces her that she'd be doing the environment a favor by getting rid of an invasive pest.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Crimson and Ennui do this to several haunted house actors in Japan. At the thought of them having to go through it again, one of them literally tosses the sign they needed to find outside for them.
  • Humiliation Conga: See Laser-Guided Karma below.
  • Hypocrite: In Las Vegas Josee complains about Sam and May's showboating during the magic show. Something Annie calls her out on.
  • I Can't Believe I'm Saying This: When a Nicki Minaj song allows him and May to cut through traffic, Sam openly thanks her.
  • Important Haircut: Happens to Jordan in Mexico and later to May in Rome.
  • Indy Escape: Junior and his father have to outrun a boulder in the wartime tunnels in Vietnam, which also leads to Junior performing an Indy Hat Roll.
  • Inspirationally Disadvantaged: Fabian has High-Functioning Autism, which he proudly proclaims in his teams Establishing Character Moment.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Many teams are eliminated in their canonical legs, such as the LARPers in Morocco and Mother and Daughter in Dubai.
  • Insult to Rocks: Mary comments that Chet and Lorenzo's arguing is worse than fighting bull moose, before saying that would be an insult to the entire deer family.
  • In Vino Veritas: Jen mentions this trope by name when Devin tells her he loves Carrie while tripping on peppers in Mexico.
  • I Resemble That Remark!: In Mexico.
MacArthur: I’m all about spicy food. Back at the academy everyone called me The Volcano.
Sanders: Are you sure that’s why they called you The Volcano?
MacArthur: (angrily) Are you implying something?! (Gets up in her business) Say it to my face you limp ass noodle! (Sanders falls off her chair)
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Stephanie gets the rather novel idea to follow Sam and May throughout Japan, reasoning that a team that bills themselves as "The Anime Nerds" would know a thing or 2 about the country.
  • Jerkass Realization: Stephanie has one in Japan after Ryan saves her from falling off a roller coaster. It leads to the Daters making up.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: June is revealed to be this, she tells the Vegans about her childhood, and her parents while they fly to Brazil from Iceland.
  • Large Ham: Sam.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The Ice Dancers face far more repercussions for their underhanded antics here than in canon.
    • In Spain, both get run over by bulls for turning Chet and Lorenzo back against each other.
    • In Indonesia, not only do they fail to mess with the goths, they inadvertently save Leo, Annie, June and Quince from elimination.
    • In Japan, they wind up falling for a Red Herring tip, get scared half to death by riding the fastest roller coaster on the roster and also accidentally push 2 teams onto the finish line first, causing them to get 3rd.
    • In the Galapagos, they get their camera stolen by a hawk and their plan to cause the cadets to repeat the challenge backfires.
    • In Mexico, Carrie and Tom land on top of Josee while cliff diving and later she and Jacques lose their donkeys courtesy of Loki, dropping them down several spots.
    • In San Francisco, they get assaulted by sea lions and get hit with a penalty for sabotaging 2 yachts.
    • In India they obtain a penalty for disconnecting the front train car and get caught in a food fight.
    • In Greece they obtain a penalty for kicking Annie back into the snake pit which costs them not only the win for the leg but also real genuine gold medals.
    • In Rome they gain another penalty for blatant disregards of the rules/their fellow competitors and get run over by Sam and May during the chariot race.
    • And finally in New York, they get stuck in traffic, loose their taxi, get rear ended by a truck and crash their stolen taxi, get covered in silver and bronze paint (aka the colors of 2nd and 3rd place), are beaten by Sam & May by the narrowest of margins and then Josee goes on a rampage that results in both of them being shot with tranquilizer darts.
  • Late to the Punchline: Annie realizes how funny it was that her brother Leo fought lions in Greece, shortly after they checked into the chill zone in Argentina.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall:
    • While following a rat through the Parisian catacombs, Leo proclaims "this isn't some flash animated Canadian cartoon''
    • When the Surfers momentarily meet Bridgette in Australia, Brody notes how both she and Carrie sound alot alike. In the parent work both are voiced by Kristin Fairlie.
    • Devin also comments on the fact that he and Tom sound rather similar. In the parent work, both are voiced by Jeff Geddis.
  • Left the Background Music On: Sam & May initially have trouble with Argentina's tango challenge, that is until they decide to just let themselves go in a performance inspired by Pure Feeling from Florence + the Machine. It initially seems like it's just a fantasy that's happening in their heads, until the challenge judge turns off a radio when their dance is over.
  • Literary Allusion Title:
  • Loophole Abuse: Several times. In Alberta Fabian blends the pork and beans so he and Jordan can drink it, in Mexico May uses a knife to extract the seeds from the peppers and in DC Josee uses a civilian to help her with the book challenge since she can't ask Jacques for help.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Fabian's only complaint about having his arm dislocated? "I've been better". May also speaks about one time when he was 5 and he hobbled around on a broken ankle for 30 minutes before any adult noticed.
  • Mushroom Samba: Happens to Devin after he eats the pepper in Mexico.
  • Medium Awareness: When the bottom four run for to the chill zone in India it happens in slow motion, just like in The Darjeeling Limited. During this slow mo sequence, however, Jacques and Josee's penalty counts down just as it would in normal time, allowing them to place and Tom/Jen to be eliminated.
  • Named After Someone Famous: Yves Lauren is obviously named after iconic fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.
  • Nerves of Steel: Neither Crimson, Ennui, Sam or May are even a little bit terrified of the haunted house in Japan.
  • Nobody Touches the Hair: May warns Jacques about this when he gets her hair dirty in India. When he inadvertently cuts it she retaliates by knocking the Ice Dancers out of their chariot and allows Sam to run them over.
  • Noodle Incident: Several.
    • In Finland Dani mentions that she was banned from Detroit for kissing both Prince Charles and Prince.
    • In Geelong, she mentions having spent one 4th of July Weekend in jail.
    • In the Outback, Syd gets his head stuck in a hole in the ground and Dani mentions it's not the first time she's had to help someone out of this kind of situation.
    • In New Zealand, she mentions that she once had to outrun the cops on a bicycle and then had to take shelter in a beaver dam.
    • In Mexico:
Carrie: Devin never has been tolerant of spicy food. In middle school we had an “Around the world night” dance. Every room was decorated to look like a different country with different activities. We went to China to get some food and… the night got cut short there. And really that’s all I’m gonna say cause I’ve tried everything to forget that night. (The camera zooms in on her Thousand-Yard Stare as dramatic music plays and the screen turns red) Everything.
    • Also in Mexico, Sam says that he did something one Christmas that May will never forget, and May has it as the screen saver on her laptop.
    • In India, Fabian remembers the 3 times he tried to learn how to ride a bicycle, none of which ended well.
  • No OSHA Compliance: Stephanie nearly slips out of her roller coaster seat in Japan, while at the top of a loop de loop.
  • No-Sell: Neither Crimson or Annie is affected at all by the world's hottest pepper.
  • Not Whatit Looks Like: Leo says this to a police officer in San Francisco as he carries Annie as she sleeps while covered in spray paint.
  • Old-Fashioned Rowboat Date: Stephanie and Ryan evoke this image while rowing through Venice.
  • Odd Friendship: One forms between the 20 something, SF Bay Area teams of Sam/May and Fabian/Jordan and suburban Canadian father/son team of Dwayne and Junior.
  • One-Steve Limit: OC Sam shares his name with Sam the video game nerd from canon TD.
  • Over-the-Top Roller Coaster: While in Japan, the Ice Dancers ride the famous Fujiyama coaster at Fujikyu Highland Theme Park. The ride to the top is described as going so high that they pass demoiselle cranes, bar headed geese (2 species known for migrating over the Himalayas), and 2 people in a hot air balloon.
  • Panthera Awesome: In the "Nemean Lion" portion of the Labors of Hercules challenge, the Racers must snag their travel tips from around the necks of adult male lions. The Racers are provided with Spartan-style weapons and armor to enable them to fight the lions on more or less equal terms.
  • Parent-Child Team: Syd and Dani, just like Kelly and Taylor and Dwayne and Junior in canon.
  • Precision F-Strike: In "Down and Outback" both Don and Aaryn say clusterfuck in regards to Carrie telling Devin she loves him.
    • Minor example in Rome, where Dwayne calls the Ice Dancers "punk-ass sons of bitches".
    • In London, Jordan tells both of the Ice dancers to "stick it up their Latvian Country Matters" when they show no concern for Fabian falling down the stairs leading up to the chill zone.
    • In the Bahamas, Annie proclaims that she'll make the underwater treasure hunter challenge her bitch.
  • Raised by Grandparents: Annie and Leo
  • Really Gets Around: Aaryn is mentioned to have dated several girls, and a few of the guys, in his graduating class.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Leo combines this with Big Brother Instinct after Josee kicks Annie back into the snake pit in Greece. He goes so far as to compare her to Tonya Harding which she momentarily does take to heart, only to point out that while Harding couldn't even make it to the Olympics, she herself is at least a medalist.
  • Red Herring: Several tips in the first part of the Japanese leg lead to dead ends, but teams would've only figured that out after they finished the joke challenge.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Downplayed. While they all still did it, nobody (save for May) was exactly thrilled to enter the snake pit in Greece.
    • A better example would be in the chapter prior, as a king cobra nearly bites Fabian
    • And the Komodo Dragons in Indonesia.
  • Reunion Kiss: 2 happen in "A Million Ways to Lose $1 Million" between Leo and June then Annie and Quince, who last saw each other in the Galapagos.
  • Scenery Porn: The description of teams performing the safari challenge in Africa is lavishly detailed in mentioning the various species of animals.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When Leo and Annie drop a "wounded" union solider in Washington DC because of a copperhead snake, he quickly retreats to the sidelines rather than risk being bitten.
  • Seinfeldian Conversation: Several, often used as padding.
  • Shown Their Work: You actually can fly some of the aircraft the teams fly in the simulator game at the Air & Space Museum in DC. May also accurately remembers that the current White House isn't the original White House as it burned down in 1814 and was rebuilt 3 years later.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Sibling Rivalry: Sam and Jordan are brother and sister, but unlike Leo and Annie, they're on opposing teams.
  • Side Effects Include...: When Don explains the challenge in Indonesia.
Don: Side-effects may include headaches, dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, loss of sight, understanding Ridley Scott's Prometheus, burning, itching, oozing, weeping, and being eaten alive by a Komodo dragon.
  • Snark-to-Snark Combat: Most notably between Leo and Josee on the train ride in India.
  • Snake Pit: The final task in the Labors of Hercules challenge in Greece is to dive into a pit of garter snakes and find a golden one.
  • Someone's Touching My Butt: Tom accidentally does this to MacArthur on the crowded Tokyo subway train.
  • Sound-Effect Bleep: In India.
  • Spaghetti Kiss: Subverted. In Rome, all the pasta the teams make is dumped into the streets where stray dogs and cats eat it up. 2 dogs wind up slurping up the same Bucatini strand but attack each other when their mouths touch.
  • The State Room Sketch: When everyone is forced onto the crowded train in Japan, Leo even quips "Could someone call up room service and ask them to send up a bigger room?"
  • Take That!: Frequent.
    • There's the above mentioned The Real Housewives line.
    • Annie of all people does this to Michael Bay in Dubai.
    • In Finland Syd remarks that nobody wants to visit Detroit.
    • In Indonesia, Don mentions understanding Prometheus as a side effect of being bitten by a Komodo Dragon.
    • In Spain, May takes a jab at Out of the Shadows.
    • In Las Vegas, Britney Spears is mentioned as an example of Nevada's "very VERY poor judgement". And in India her short marriage is brought up again when Sam laments how long the Axis of Evil lasted.
    • In Mexico Jordan mentions that the last big anitclimax she saw was on March 31, 2014
    • In San Francisco, the cadets mural depicts Josee as the Queen of Hearts complete with Jacques severed head in her hand.
    • India has May lament that the Kardashians haven't contributed significantly to popular culture at all.
      • She also calls out vegans, like Laurie and Miles, who's food often comes at the expense of migrant labor.
    • Greece has Leo compare Josee to infamous figure skater Tonya Harding.
    • While describing the Stonehenge challenge in London Don mentions how some people believe aliens built the monument and then say that smarter people believe it was built using rolling logs and alot of patience
    • In Washington DC, May says that any parent who consciously doesn't vaccinate their child shouldn't have custody of them.
    • A rather dramatic one happens in the Bahamas when Annie calls out Americans on their inability to solve the gun control crisis following Sandy Hook.
    • At one point Sam and May cut through traffic by playing Stupid Hoe by Nicki Minaj.
  • Tears of Joy: Sam, May, Fabian, and Jordan all start crying after the former 2 win the Tokyo leg in addition to being at the Studio Ghibli museum. Fabian cries again in the next chapter when his team wins the Galapagos leg.
  • That's What She Said: One of these happens when the contestants reach Victoria Falls.
Carrie: [looking down the falls] W-Whoa! That's a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be.
MacArthur: (points to Carrie) That’s literally what she said. WOOO!
  • Think of the Children!: In Argentina, Kitty wonders if she can say the word "ass" on TV but Emma says that this show isn't meant for children so she's got nothing to worry about.
  • Toros y Flamenco: It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Madrid World takes place in Spain.
  • Unspoken Plan Guarantee: Averted. In Indonesia the Best Friends, Bloggers and Gym Rats formulate a plan to safely get Komodo dragon venom. It's described in a brief moment before it's put into action and with exception of Gabriella having to hold the dragon at bay instead of Tom & Devin, it works exactly as it's supposed to.
  • Wacky Wayside Tribe: Fabian and Jordan befriending a fox in the Arctic circle.
  • Waxing Lyrical: In "Bahama-rama" Don urges the teams that every move they make will be critical, along with every vow they break, every smile they fake, every claim they stake and every breath they take.
  • Wham Line: From The Shawshank Ridonc-tion.
    Carrie: Devin I love you!
    • From And Away We Galapagos
Don: [to Annie, Leo, June and Quince] The 4 of you are gonna have to try again.note
    • From Capital Idea
Josee: Don’t worry, it’s all apart of the plan. (Reveals that in the commotion she snatched MacArthur's passport.)
  • Worth It:
    • Sam & May both say they "regret nothing" when they lose a shot at a Ferrari in Rome since they ran over the Ice Dancers at the chariot race.
    • Upon her team's elimination, MacArthur says that kicking both Jacques and Josee in their crotches was worth $1 million and 1.
  • Your Tomcat Is Pregnant: The burro Leo rides in Mexico goes into labor at one point and he and Annie have to help assist it in giving birth.
  • Zonk: The first part of the challenge in "Tokyo M G!" is to find a travel tip on a dog based on Hachiko: only one tip is real, several others are gag challenges that send contestants on a wild goose chase.
